Why hunt coyotes?
As 4th generation ranchers and farmers, hunting coyotes is not just a hobby or a pastime for O'Neill Ops. They have a duty to protect the cattle that they raise for food. For them, predator hunting is not merely a sport, but a way of life.
Coyotes are presently the most abundant livestock predators in western North America, causing the majority of sheep, goat, and cattle losses. For example, according to the National Agricultural Statistics Service, coyotes were responsible for 60.5% of the 224,000 sheep deaths attributed to predation in 2004.The total number of sheep deaths in 2004 comprised 2.22% of the total sheep and lamb population in the United States, which, according to the National Agricultural Statistics Service USDA report, totaled 4.66 million and 7.80 million heads respectively as of July 1, 2005. Because coyote populations are typically many times greater and more widely distributed than those of wolves, coyotes cause more overall predation losses. The United States government agents routinely shoot, poison, trap, and kill about 90,000 coyotes each year to protect livestock.

I don’t know how I ended up here but I love it. SomeIdiots are feeling bad for the coyotes but clearly don’t give a crap about the cows.
Actually i do fell bad for all three of them cows for beeing bred in masses to die feeding the coyote packs who then grow to masses and boldness to attack little farms and then get shot by humans who don't understand the way of nature and where it has been lead to by mankind

Yep. I live in a wooded area and they are becoming a problem pretty quickly. Its legal in GA to hunt coyotes on your land with out a permit.
I lost several hens this year to them so it all helps
Bro if I loose my dog I'm gonna go sphycho and kill them all. I am building a stand and getting a call so I can put em down. I'm not loosing any more sheep and not risking my dog's life either
Is there a way to kill them in Suburban areas? We live near forest preserves and they reap havoc.
Wild coyote took my Yorkie Benji in big bear in just a few seconds early morning dark. I looked for 2 weeks nothing. Had a tracker and hound come out and find a trail to the big lake where I found a small skull with an ear, intestines and chest cavity with rib bones munched on. These rabid dogs are hungry predatory scavengers and will attack anything if hungry. They aren't omnivores they are carnivorous wild dogs that carry diseases like rabies.
Love how you shoot together and get at least 2 at a time! Often watched other video's and TV shows wishing the same thing, and your the only hunters that do this and do it great!

I’m just getting into thermal hunting, and it’s awesome. I have a serious problem with coyotes on my property as well, and so far I’ve removed 5 in the past week.
Where is that?
I wish I could bag 5 in a week. For me, I'll bag one predator and then don't get any activity for several weeks or months.

When I was a kid, my dad had a farm up in Wv. And we used to go out shooting to protect the chickens. Lol, i think he did it because he knew I enjoyed it.
After he passed I kinda forgot about all of that stuff. Maybe because it hurt thinking about but seeing this makes me want to sell my house, and take my son back out to the wild. My wife would never go for it, so I'll subscribe and live through you guys. Lol

I grew up with hunting families and remember being in the ute with shooters in the tray leaning on the roof and the tension or anticipation of the shot was almost excruciating!! LOL!! But the background music you have hear puts this over the top. Granted things have changed so much in 40 years both here in AUS and in the USA regards equipment but still awesome all the same. @Martin-ug2pq .pigs are invasive species, they have been illegally introduced and as a result are destroying crops at a terrifying rate. They breed like rabbits and have no natural predators. Therefore it is by decision of the state and governing agencies to permit eradication. Take some lessons in biology and species ecology before you begin trolling the wrong crowd.
