Love the way the sound that makes the star shape sounds like stars
I love how your focus on the sound here not only gives us something we could listen to on repeat but also the best kind of visualizer, none of this waveform bs just something really cool to look at. An audiovisual treat. Bravo
You have improved a lot over the last year. Finding the right balance between aesthetic and musical flow is difficult. Recently it has been sounding more like musical emphasis. I suggest a more varied note progression. A good song can have as little as 1-2 kinds of sounds in it if the themes and progression are good.
Thanks for the suggestions, and for listening! Always trying to improve, and composition is one of my weaknesses...
@@ChrisAllenMusic are you serious? "composition is one of my weaknesses"? your tracks are so freaking awesome, i already have 3 in my playlist and i just found your channel like a week ago
this was literally such a rude way of saying it i am so dumb
@@Creepsington 🤣🤣🤣
I still come back to this song every now and then, probably my favourite of yours
Love the stars and grids.
Sparkly, no?
anyone else noticed that the "plink" sound that makes the star shapes also seems very similar to kirby's warp star sound? If that's intentional, bravo chris... bravo
not intentional, but definitely 8 bit retro
WOAH
That's what i was thinking
Intro of this song gives me some "starboy" vibes
I’ve noticed how you make these for the audio and not really for the visuals, whilst Jerobeam does the opposite. Still you both are awesome! Keep it up!
downforce, sightings, globetrotter and zodiac: are we jokes to you?
AquaPlayZ ,
@@wigwagstudios2474 ,
@@AeroTheVaporeon They still have a lot more "music" than Jerobeam's music
@@averytiredman4857 its a joke
if only my heartrate is this awsome
Reminds me of Terraria music! Absolutely amazing 👍
In some manner it does.
This is utterly astounding! They way in which each auditory theme is matched with a recognizable visual motif is just amazing. The grid-like chords, spirally melody, stringy bass, circular drums, and bright, twinkly chimes matched by literal stars... each instrument can be heard AND seen as it enters the song and meshes with the others. Plus, it sounds amazing just listening to it, with great instrumentation, chords, and tune! This is really a work of art... oscilloscope music has so many more dimensions than regular old music. All I can say is... thank you for making this!
Thank you for the kind words! Glad you enjoyed it!
It's like listening to an optical illusion
this is sooo cool, calm yet so intense! bass here is just aaaa amazing!!
11/10 would listen again)
You deserve more views holy heck
I’ve always been interested in oscilloscopes, seeing them break down pieces of music and serve as instruments. So glad I found oscilloscope music.
I was just thinking how the spiral made with prime numbers would sound...
My new "all time" favorite, espacilly with the 8Bit sound interlude. A joy to watch and listen. Thanks for the WAV. Half a gigabyte of Music, awesome.
192kHz/32bit is the maximum of my playback setup (RP-ZeroW/HiFiBerry DAC/Volumio2), but it works and the result on the analog screen are beautifully crisp lines and sharp corners. Well done!
Glad you like it! 192K is a new thing for me, I'm still figuring out how to output optimally with my setup, but I'm glad it comes through clear on your end!
Also, hope this one didn't scare off the dog... :)
this is one of my favorites among all the tracks you've made, it sounds like music for a zone in a game
gods i love the glitch this has in it. please more like that.
I agree, it's pretty cool
Pure art 💚
Thanks!
Briliance. Thank you.
This is exactly the kind of song I would expect a forlorn android to write.
I feel seen
Top tier dynamic and balance! Wonder how to create that star sound tho
stars are pretty easy. 2 SIN waves to create a circle, then a third U-shaped wave to modulate amplitude of both simultaneously and 'scoop out' the star shape from the circle shape.
somehow these tracks you make give me Kraftwerk vibes
It’s a shame no one knows you. Makes you wonder how many more talented artists like you are unknown.
unbelievable work man!
Ohh this is great! Keep going at this art C. Allen!
i read that as "clean state..."
That works too. Thanks for watching!
Your style is evolving and improving video by video. Keep going like this! :)
Thanks!
fantastic!
Thank you!
Uploaded 19 seconds ago, nice
This is the type of shit i imagine when trying to go to sleep
Yes, we know. Our agents have been transferring your brain to my music. Thank you for your contribution.
masterpiece!
Thanks!
I reckon this is what vector sounds like.
Arcade games of the 1980's unite!
Everyone will say they see stars. Sure. But do they see the waffles and the strange attractors? So clear.
yes, strange and wonderful!
yo i need to tell u this, i dreamed tonight that i made a sound in a DAW with a plugin called serum and looked at the sound through an stereo visualizer plugin i have and it was like your videos... idk why i dreamed this but its a bit weird 😅
A worthy dream, indeed! Fun fact: Because Serum has two independent wavetable oscillators, you can pan one left and the other right and use it for oscilloscope music!
Future downtown at night be like:
Any idea regarding the settings on Prettyscope to achieve something as this? (not meaning soundwise but rather software setting wise) any help would be amazing !
I'm using Prettyscope 1.1.0 on Windows. Here's a gif showing the typical settings I use for video capture: i.imgur.com/0l7lcBP.gifv
Chris Allen Thanks so much Chris! I’ve found your videos very inspiring, all ways wanted to learn Oscilloscope music, affording one reliable hardware unit is not an option RN but hopefully I’ll learn more with this one, all the best.
Better than Jerobeam's
