Issue is Visualization focuses to much on clean perfection. where's the cracks in the pavement, overcast skies, plastic bins and clutter outside a building? Also where's the traditional character of Architecture? simple steel, concreate and glass might be better for buildings on a tight budget. But luxury buildings could have a façade, pillars or mosaic patterns? clearly this altitude is at odds with the direction the industry is heading though.
I kinda disagree because adding imperfections is one of the most common techniques used in archviz in order to hide the clean and perfect look that a model has. 'Cracks in the pavement, overcast skies, plastic bins and clutter outside a building' are exactly the thing you would add into a render to give it a realistic finish
Couldn't be more agree. I tried to get that in my renders for archviz and still surprise me how many people ask me "why the human models? " or "why that fingerprints on the phone? Well because if I want something to look realistic I have to do that. Human models gives a feel of scale and make scene just more alive and fingerprints, cracks or dirt just make it feels natural, perfection it doesn't exist in real life, why would exist in 3D?
