I've never been able to get my hands on many OG animated figures, and, I believe as I mentioned in the Prowl review, I'm happy to have any "easy" Animated figures.
I do like this lil' bee a ton, especially with how nimble and expressive he is. Once you abandon all sense of decency and use the transformation joints in his torso as a faux ab crunch, the bize-sized bugger's able to pose with the best of them.
I thought the proportions looked bad when the reveal photos came out, but he looks pretty good! I'm still turned off by the clear plastic chunk making up his torso.. i've not heard of him breaking but I don't like how it looks aesthetically. glad you like him though!
Aww, I was ready to pass on the Legacy Animated crew, but seeing it on video, this is a rather cute lil guy! And I like the versatile weapons. If he was closer down to a proper scout-like price point like the good ol RotF days, he'd be no-hesitation. Thanks for the nice review!

Wish this lil guy would show up in Smyths here already! The Optimus is really great, I can see someone maaaaybe having reservations about how he looks but the engineering is amazing. Word of warning, mine came with some kind of factory error on the mushroom pegs on his waist and underboob. The sides of the pegs were weirdly squared off with corners sticking out, locking them in place. I had to pop them out and trim them down to get them to rotate. They work just fine now. If yours seem like they aren't going to turn at all, don't just force them, check for that error.
"I'll give up my moral stance for a bargain - no problem" the new TRDQ motto? Anyhow wow, I heard this guy was small but I wasn't thinking he was Activators small. That is SMALL!
Neat little review. I never watched Transformers Animated, but I did admire the complexity of some of the transformations. They would go from "cartoony" to "blocky" with just a few twists: Just brilliant!
It's similar to what I've always admired about the movie toys, the way they go from those greebly, tangled messes of robots to smooth-paneled realistic vehicles.
My favourite moment when this thing was leaked was the collective sigh of release when people found out the person who leaked it was just an idiot and mistransformed it, the actual figure and proportions look very nice, If I was still collecting I would have picked up this guy in a heartbeat.

Unfortunately, with the official announcement of a UK recession, TFNation no longer has the budget to maintain the secret hot tub. I'm absolutely devastated, I'm gonna miss peeing in that thing with Chris Mcfeely.

The only hook Legacy has left in me is the animated reps. Dinoking is supposed to be a con exclusive and the dinobot moulds were already disappointing, along with being very difficult to find. Windblade was a step back in terms of fembots and jet formers, so slipstream ain’t gonna be that much better. Motormaster should be good, and Lockdown interests me, unless it’s cyberverse not animated…
literally just got this dude from a charity store for £2. love him so much but i would probably feel pretty pissed if i paid full retail. no blasters/stingers but they looked crap anyway
I really enjoy this and Prime, definitely the best Legacy TFA figures. Prowl was meh, probably helped that I didn't really care about him in the show so the figure was just 'yay new TFA'. But Bee and Prime??? They are great. Now come on, give me a new Blackarachnia please I need one in my veins

I'll say it now, Prowl walked so Prime and Bee could run, because both of them are so amazingly good. Seriously, get Prime, you will not be disappointed. The axe extends AND has a blast effect port on the back of it, the transformation is fun, the look of it is fantastic as well

I think we can all agree though, however else the new Animated Optimus fails or succeeds, we will be glad to be rid of that overambitious crackpot WTF waist-tornado gimmick.

legacy prime at the very least resembles animated prime. cant say that about any of the other animated or prime legacy toys at all.
