The University bought up the property on Lewis St and have plans to make it all one big park. That last apartment building isn't selling though. That one building you said was part of the Wilson Complex is actually owned by BU and last I heard was they were considering turning it into senior housing. The Goodwill Theater is being renovated. I believe there are plans to connect it to the Firehouse Stage building and make it one large performing arts center. Thanks for doing this video. I've been meaning to make a trip to that part of town to see the progress. HUGE improvements to JC.
@@colleenmarin8907 The amount of construction and renovations going on is something I never thought we'd see in this area. It's hard to keep up with it all, which is why I love these videos.
Hi Frank! Many thanks for showing the Lewis St JC video! It is so different from when I lived on the street, but a welcome improvement! Across from the boarded up theater there used to be a row of small businesses that are no longer there. Most of what I remember is only green space now! I was going to post a pic of my old house and some other apartments that used to be on Lewis but not sure how to do it! Many thanks again for taking the time😊! Patty
One thing I just thought of…back in the early 1960’s when I lived on Lewis, there was no diagonal parking like there is now. I believe they had straight metered parking back then. Would you happen to have any videos of the actual demolition of 14 Lewis and other adjacent apartments? If not, no worries but thx in advance if you do!🤞🏻 Patty
Phuong Nam was there on that corner on willow across from the goodwill theater. They eventually moved downtown and rebranded as Phonomenal when the building was bought by BU. Still the best Vietnamese food in town by far!
Hello Frank, my boyfriend and I LOVE your channel! I know its a little ways away, but would you be able to make an update video on the owego skatepark that is currently being reconstructed? Thanks!
At 5 minutes it was apartments and a restaurant if many different cuisines at different times. What you called the firehouse stage was the police station, that was moved across main street.

Awesome
At 5:32 used to be a large bridge at that intersection that used to be used to pass over the railroad lines as the rail traffic used to be immense.
At 5 minutes it was apartments and a restaurant if many different cuisines at different times.

@@cheferic6969 No. Where the parking lot to one of the EJ factories was. Around 5:32.
Thanks!
You are welcome! Glad you enjoy the video!!

Great coverage. I've been wondering what all those white boxes (for lack of a better description) are on a couple of the floors.
My best guess for those is that they are some type of prebuilt bathroom or shower for the rooms
do a broad st in johnson city tour
Thanks Frank! I think you mean to spell "Diner" right? Keep up the good work!
Ah dang it
I wonder if you can tell between Johnson City, Binghamton and Buffalo city, which one is better to live in, what are the differences?
I suspect .R.R never opens.
