As someone who worked at Sur La Table I can tell Sharon for a fact that grating butter is much better for baking certain things. We actually did it in some classes there.
Actually, it works better if you put the empty nutella jar with milk into a microwave for 90 seconds, than fasten the lid tight and shake gently - that reduces the mess!
