My name is Mayo 1&2 I think I hid those from my profile.
But I’m really embarrassed of all Shovelware plays I have.
I actually didn’t hide them, but I DID hide Jak 2 because… I obviously cheated.
Definitely Chickens On The Road!
And second The Evil Within 2. I used the cheats. I really want to do it without the cheats, but the game sometimes crash. So I don't wanted to take the risk!
We Were Here... I started with my brother and he bailed after the first level. A year later I just completed it with a stranger from discord in less than an hour without trying 😮
In my eyes, a platinum is a platinum. Each one tells a different story, whether it be embarrassing or impressive.
A year later I appear to have sparked a full argument, anyways each plat represents a certain experience. End lol.

Subnautica is really satisfying to finish but at the same time it was one of those games where I was sad after finishing it, because of how great it was great it was for me. It’s also easy to platinum
I know it can be really confusing because it doesn’t tell you where to go. You have to stumble upon the cave yourself then find out how to go deeper into the cave.

I'm not embarrassed by the ones like Telltale games or Edith Finch where you just have to finish the game. The only two platinums I'm kind of embarrassed by are "Lizard Lady vs the Cats" and "Lady in a Leotard with a Gun." They're the only shovelware games I've played but they were somewhat entertaining for $0.24 games

Telltale games are anything but embarrassing to have on a trophy list cause they are great games. You played it for 2 reasons, a great story and an easy platnium. Shovelware platinums, however have nothing great about them, other than a easy platinum. I'll never earn a shovelware platinum, (other than my name is mayo) cause they look awful and I ain't having that on my list.
Such ashame what happened to their company.
As a collectionist, I see all platinums as equal in worth and getting one as the signal to move onto another game to play until it's nearly not fun anymore

It always makes me sad when people miss out on subnautica for the sake of an easy plat😢, legit one of my top five favorite games of all time.

@@SANDREZZ I'd say it's more forgiving then most survival games. But it definitely does take a while to get going, for those that stick around it's honestly just so memorable hey.
I should add the platinum I'm most ashamed of I think is foreclosed. Horrible game with no redeeming qualities, I played it simply because I wanted a quick and easy platinum off extra and yeah I regret it now 😂

@@SANDREZZ I suppose, but the whole point of the game is to explore and figure it out, you get clues of where to go and more lore, the more you explore, You get it through scanning things, the pda's and data terminals. I played it completley blind on my first run and didn't get stuck that often, when you do get stuck, you can often find a clue in your Pda, if you cant then its a sign to explore a new area, or further then you have been before.
If you dont enjoy exploring or reading then its not the game for you, but it's truly a beautiful and a really memorable experience in my opinion.

On ps5 goto Settings > Users and Accounts > Privacy > View and Customise Your Privacy Settings > Hide your games from other players.

See to me these platinums are a tell that this person is human and does not always have the time or patience to go for 30-100 hour or more. As long as there isn't a spam amount of them.
if you play the game once even if it takes a second, i dont mind the trophy, what makes me mad is the people on the leaderboard who gets a platinum from easy games 4-6 times on ps4 and ps5 and play it from different regions.
Same honestly. I don’t care about easy or hard platinums, it’s fun to scroll and see people’s collections. I hate the stacking based on region though since you can’t even buy the game with multiple regions on the same account…
How about getting platinum on 2 or 3 different consoles? Example i have platinum for Lego Skywalker Saga on both Ps4 and ps5?

Thats why i appreciate the final season of the walking dead. it actually had trophies that required you explore more and look around like "get all collectibles in episode 2"
My most embarrassing is probably quick mafs to be honest. It literally takes like 1 minute to complete 😭 you just have to write some numbers and press some buttons. Sometimes the addicting feeling to get a new platinum to your collection just gets you lmao

I achievement hunt on steam and the most embarrassing title on my "Perfect Games" list is the Resident Evil Village DEMO. The demo had achievements for some reason that acted as a timer counting up to 1 hour. When you hit an hour you had all the achivements and couldn't play any longer. But now it's just forever on my list.

Hey it depends on whether you have anything against it, but you could remove the game and its achievements with Steam Achievement Manager.
If it was an accident I don't see much wrong with it.
My two easiest triple A game platinums were spiderman 2018 & spiderman miles morales. The games arent that long and are great Playstation titles that dont feel like a chore to 100%. Excited to platinum Spiderman 2 this year
I have two platinum trophies that werent just "handouts" of sorts, like the walking dead is. And im incredibly proud of both. One is Bloodborne, and the other is Titanfall 2
Dude SAME, the gauntlet took me wayy too much time. Let's not even get started on the sheer time i spent platting bloodborne. Needless to say I'm not a very good gamer
Bloodborne didn't take me quite as long as Dark Souls 3 did (farming the silver knights for concords was pain) but the Cursed and Defiled Amygdala drove me and my friends trying to help me completely insane for a 5 hour session until we finally beat it. Other than that though, Bloodborne's platinum was kinda easy.

@yikes The gauntlet wasn't really all that hard for me. I think I ended up getting the achievement by accident on my second playthrough just due to how proficient I became with titanfall 2 movement by that point. The one that took me more time and effort was either Power Slide, or I Know Kung Fu. Those two were annoying to get
@The Decent Gamer I'm not taking anything from anyone lol. Some people find things easier or harder depending on games but getting a platinum is still getting a platinum. My hardest platinum was CTR Nitro Fueled, because some of those trophies are truly painful but some people may find it easier or even harder than I did.
My very first platinum trophy was on Call of the Sea. It made me fall in love with grinding to unlock achievements and trophies, bc the trophies you could get on there were like cute collectibles. I really loved that game
I’ve honestly never understood trophy hunting, especially from shovelware games and such because like most I’m just trying to have fun and be in a different world when I play games, trophy hunting turns it into more of a chore, and when it’s got you buying and playing games you don’t even like that just feels silly to me

@@knifesketball I love trophy hunting personally, I don't care THAT much about it as I only have 11 plats and dont even play on ps4 anymore, switched to PC... but I can say that exploits are super nice for massively grindy achievements, where you really dont want to have 200+ hours play time in a game and just wanna take ur plat n be done, but they're also nice when you can use them to circumvent bugged trophies.

I've got 17 platinum trophies and for sure I feel very ashamed about my Hollow Knight platinum trophy. I mean, I have beated the entire main story with no cheats, but when I noticed that to achieve the platinum trophy you had to beat every game boss insequence, wich if I did a perfect run it would take me 40min straight and obviously I would take hours and hours to be able to do this run, I gave up and did a glitch that makes you unvulnerable
I love trophies. To check out some profile and notice that you both have a plat in some hard af game is like meeting a brother in arms 😄
Most Embarassing Platinum is for me NieR Automata. It's a masterpiece, but i din't want to do all the grind...so i used the secret merchant

I play on Xbox where the main difference is gamerscore compared to trophies but the contrast in achievements is insane. Road 96 took me 5 or 6 hours to beat and I got 1000gamerscore without having to go out of my way to get achievements and then there’s games like mgsv that took me 300 hours…
A couple years ago i got the achievements for ReactorX and smart moves and I wish i could delete them off my list all they do is degrade my ta ratio and look bad
The plat trophies I have are of games I grew close to over years. My favorite one being Okami where I would make new guest accounts just to get the plat again. I even got all the steam achievements when it came to pc.
I don't think I even had a plat I was ashamed of but then again I never really played for that many plat trophies.
The Subnautica games are my favourite games ever! Both original and Below Zero, and I'm so proud of those Plats because I got them the hard and honest way. I can't remember it being insanely difficult either, but so scary. Can't wait for the next one.
Kena: Bridge of Spirits on the other hand… I might have to look up that exploit. I struggled on normal difficulty.
In my not so humble opinion. A platinum is a platinum, if you want to challenge yourself do it, but those that just want to have fun with games that don't constantly take hundreds of hours or require top notch skill. Shouldn't feel shamed for the games they go for.
I do both, I'll play long or games when I want, and then use simpler games to relax and take a break from the hard grinds.
I’m one of those people who wasn’t fortunate enough to exploit Kena, I didn’t think I could beat the game on the highest difficulty but after so many deaths and patience I eventually finished the game and earned the plat

My most embarrassing platinum is when I got the PS5 version of miles morales platinumed after I already got done with the first, it just looks stupid going through my list of trophies to see the same game twice.

My most embarrassing trophy would be Dragon Ball Z Kakarot (PS5)
I accidentally pulled my save from the PS4 version and got the plat in 1 second.
Not only is it my fastest, it is also my 75th plat.
I knew what it would do, I was just excited to play the game and get the plat again.
I sympathize for you lmao that’s the very thing I’ve been worried about doing with games on the PS5 for that exact reason. A one second easy plat that will become your fastest in a unbeatable way.

I guess mine would be Hallow Knight because of the invisibility glitch, but honestly, I just wanted to see the (true?) ending and final boss. I did literally everything else legit. Might be the most fun I’ve had with a very difficult game

Mine is Iro Hero, it’s like a space raider type game. Got the plat in 30 odd minutes. Didn’t even have to complete the game. It was in my early days when I really wanted more and more plats and I learnt quality over quantity

Personally, I think that trophy hunting just for the sake of having platinums is stupid. For me, having platinums is showing people "look, I really enjoy this game and wanted to do everything". I feel like a lot of people get caught up on "Yeah I have 200 platinums". If i'm not enjoying the game i'm not going to pursue the platinum honestly

I'm not ashamed at my self but more a funny story to look back on. Maneater was the easyest play (besides a telltale) i've gotten, it's even funnier that it was by accident (basically just complete story, get all collectibles, and bet all shark hunters, which was easy for someone with OCD) and I was totally confused and sad since it was my first and last play through
I got ruined by the bugged out protest mission in the 2nd area and after beating maneater 3 times 100% finally got the platinum. For me it wasn't cheesy it was dedication lmao
I guess for me it would be bunny raiders because I only have 3 and this one is the worst. It looks weird alongside Spider-Man and Cuphead

Yep, that game from the PS3, played it since 2009 and it was till 2023 I got the platinum but not in a legit way. All I was missing was one trophy and that was the one you have to collect all 350 shards. I literally just used someone else’s save data. The save had 349/350 shards and the missing shard was literally some blocks away from my position.
After +10 years I finally got the platinum.
I am not a platinum trophy hunter, but I do have a embarassing platinum trophy in Nier Automata. After a certain point in the game, there is a shop where you can actually buy every trophy in exchange fo the game's currency.
I did the same cause it was funny as hell and just absurd!!
I don't have a most embarrassing one but I am most proud of my Skyrim platinum. It's not even that hard but I've played the game on and off for nearly 12 years and never had it until recently. Going for The Witcher 3 soon and once I get that, it'll be my most proud.

Big brain moment: if you dont like a game youre playing, stop playing it. Why are you continuing just for a trophy? Play something you enjoy, youre missing the point of video games.
i get why you cheated subnautica, but i still reccomend it. it gets really great at the end, with the tension of hearing distant roars in an unknown region while slowly maneuvering your cyclops/seamoth and staying near the seafloor. discovering all the new flora and fauna of the biome, and accepting your fear and forcing yourself to go even deeper into the ocean. sure, it may be confusing at the start, but thats the point. you arent supposed to know what to do. the game gives you subtle hints through the names of items and the radio broadcasts. still, it is grindy and i get how some may not like it.
My most embarrassing is Conan Exile since I used the admin panel in the game to get the trophies… Took under 2 hours but I didn’t like the game when I played it was very buggy, only reason I even played the game was because it was a ps plus monthly game. Would probably delete that one if I could

my most embarrasing achievement was playing the bioshock 1 main story on easy and changing it to the hardest difficulty right before the boss fight, somehow that counts as completin the game on the hardest difficulty
I did it because i originally completed it on the hardest on xbox and when i started completing games i wanted to do it on pc but was too lazy and i needed that buzz that u get when u complete a game
There are 2 missable trophy’s for the walking dead but if you miss them all you have to do is restart the chapter which takes 5-10 minutes to get back to where you missed the trophy and get it the second time
i dont have a playstation anymore but it isnt that serious to have a bad game on a list
I have a lot of easy platinums, but no shame. I have enough hard platinums to prove I have skill to play hard games. And a lot of easy games are pretty fun.
Agree with this 100% I some ratalaika games some jumping games and then games like vanquish, Bloodborne, sekiro, cuphead and the Witcher 3 also on my list, a plat is a plat if you willing to spend time and money for it then it's your wish

Rn i'm getting ghostwire tokyo platinum and i'm really enjoing it even if it is easy. I actually wouldn't say i have an embarrasing platinum (Except for krunker that literally requires you to just open the game) i enjoyed them all and even if they were really easy like Abzu, Sludge life, Darksiders genesis, etc... I just enjoy playing games and love getting achievements

One platinum that I would like to delete would be the Wolfenstein 2 plat. I managed to cheat Mein Leben by downloading an online save file that puts you at the end. I felt that it was an unethical trophy since permadeath trophies are unfair in my opinion. I’ll be proud of the plat if I get a successful Mein Leben run in, in which I nearly reached the courthouse.

My most embarrassing platinums are Spider-Man Remastered Ghost of Tsushima, and Destiny 2. Because all I had to do was boot the games up because I already got the platinum on the PS4 versions.

@@merl1nos hours..?there is "Games" that need literally something like 1 min. and is 2 Versions ps4 and ps5. Like for exsmple the Jumping turbo Series,all U have to do is Holding x Button for a couple of seconds,there is no point anymore to the whole trophy hunting thing
Got my PlayStation 5 three days ago after being an “Xbot” for many years, I have over half a million gamerscore on Xbox and so the whole platinums thing came quite easy to me. I’m at 10 platinums already and just about to hit Bronze 3 or whatever the little tier things are. I honestly think I’ll speed through to 100 plats in a month or so then chill and play the games I want at my own pace.

I got 9 platinums they took me about 20 minutes max, i felt so unsatisfied so i punched myself and went for crash bandicoot i got the platinum for crash 1 to 3 and CTR and now I’m working on crash 4

As someone trying to use 100% completion to cure my low attention span, I hate most PS games that are just really easy and cheap platinums (exceptions being games like Life is strange or telltale). It ruins the value of going through blood, sweat and tears to get something few go for
Mentioned 3 times in the first few minutes: These trophies were too easy and I'm embarrassed that I played a simple, fast game to get a free platinum trophy. Platinum trophies are supposed to be difficult and challenging.
30 seconds later: I don't know why they would make a difficulty-based platinum trophy. I had to use exploits in order to acquire it. Maybe the devs shouldn't make platinum trophies so difficult
Apart from two telltale games you mentioned, I got the platinum for Hello Neighbor.
The story of the game is kinda sad, but the game just really isnt that good.

@@SANDREZZ a lot of tasks you need to do for the trophies are just tedious and time consuming. It all just feels so random.
The prequel feels a bit more fleshed out and polished.
But like I said, backstory is tragic and it did resonate with me, a tiny bit

3:28 I still remember beating it on master mode 2 years ago. It took me nearly 6 months of constant grinding. The glitch would have made things a lot easier.
Bunny raiders literally took 20 seconds to download. I’m afraid of how bad this game could possibly be.
Even if someone paid me to play to play “My Name is Mayo” it would still bug me to the point where I’d consider making a new account. I don’t like collecting Plats for the sake of having more and more, I use them as stamps for games I enjoyed the most or my favorite games with the fact that I like to experience as much as I can from each game (also seeing those 100% completions). Playing a game just for a easy Platinum completely defeats the point and value of what makes having them cool to me.

Horrendous and repulsive trophy required for the Platinum in the remastered version. I remembered how much I suffered to get it and I hope someone was fired for having included it in the trophy chart of the game.
I have an embarrassing Platinum, there was this one puzzle game and it was the easiest one to get but it wasn't worth it at all lol. Had some from some visual novels and while those one's aren't impressive either they were at least fun to read/play. Good video though.

I bought weben blocks because my gf likes to play this on her phone. Unfortunately this platinum took less than 5 min or something. The highest target for platinum was ridiculously low. 😅 kinda silly plat to have.
If you ask me, my name is mayo is such a easy plat, and sure there are 3 of them, but i actually quite enjoyed the games, since i used to play clicker games on mobile like cookie clicker, i figured i give it a try, now i have them all 3 platinum, and not a single second of regret, only pride, cus i know that i loved the game, just because its not a darksouls or Minecraft, or CoD game, doesnt mean i should be ashamed of having the platinum from my name is mayo, or even regret it, in other words, never regret the trophy you hunt if you enjoyed the game itself, its worth it
When Diablo 3 DLC came out I bought it and tried to platinum them but I had no patience so I I ask a friend (Hardcore-Diablo-Fan) who carried me trough all of the late game trophys and finished at a disgustingly low playtime.
I’m not against “easy” platinums, I have some myself. But I will say I don’t understand ppl who buy and stack the platinums that are literally given to you, then these ppl call themselves “trophy hunters” yet any game they played that is over an hour to do goes unfinished cos they realise they actually gotta go “hunt” the trophy’s. You know who you are 😂😂 imo those buyable platinums ruin it.
I was so worried about 100 platinums that i would always skip dlcs so now ive got a ton of unfinished games that are gsrd to go back to. If the dlc is expensive i dont mind but there are games i have dlc for or gas free dlc and im ashamed of those. Im glad after i hit a hundred i didn't continue that trend. I found that the numver didnt really change anything. I just do it for me i dont have friends that play games so no one knows about my platinums but me.
Before I start every game I always ask myself if im going to regret it in the future. Just like getting a tattoo
Telltales Walking Dead was game of the year in 2012. It’s simple yes but you play for the story and the platinum is almost like a reward for experiencing the great story
I just got a Ps5 never had a PS console before, my first platinum was Astro's Playroom was really fun to do it tbh

You have to button mash and spend around 300g (ingame-currency) to get the award. But... you have to pay 1g at a time... and it takes 2 clicks of the X and O buttons to go through 1 text box. And don't even mention the fact that Toby FORCED ME to TAKE BREAKS
Dude I did kena legit and it was so tough!! I am pretty good at souls games but man you basically have to play perfect at many parts of the master play through
You can’t really blame kena for being a shameful platinum when you cheated because it was difficult and you wanted the trophy 🥺
Everyone is different but at least for me platinum trophies are just the ultimate goals to complete the games I actually like/love to play. I don't just want to get the platinum from any game... I want to get the platinum from the games that are actually enjoyable and somewhat challenging to play to get the feeling of accomplishing something you put some time and effort to.
This is the trophy hunter equivalent of first world problems like I have a bunch of incomplete platinums or games I didn’t like that I have six trophies in I wish I could delete.
wait wait wait, you're telling me you played subnautica, only showed the first 2-3 minutes of gameplay and said nope and cheated the stuff in for the achievements within the next 2 hours?
Did you even give the game a chance, because determining the math and time it would've taken you to resort to cheating it would've at least taken 10 minutes to realize there is a console for cheats, and another 20 minutes or so to figure out the commands and the rest to actually do all of them.
Doing the math like that means you didn't even give the game a damn chance, and honestly... I don't blame you, oceans are scary, you made the right call. hecking terrifying game.
My first platinum was Minecraft Story Mode season 2. There is only one achievement and you get it when you beat the game. My second platinum was Subnautica, so I was mortified when I saw the first part of the video.
For anyone who'll go for the subnautica platinum i highly recommend you to get it without cheats.
Subnautica is one if the BEST survival games out there and by using cheats you are losing one of the best gaming experiences. It'll take time to understand but it sure is worth it.
Yeah i have slyde and regret it, wish i could delete it but i guess it shows our trophy hunting journey when you look back on it.
I don't feel embarrassed to admit that I have a couple achievements I simply got by using the Steam Achievement Manager. Every achievement that is stealing my time or just fells like a game developer's prank - I simply give it to me to complete the game. I hate to look at finished games which offer no more fun to play but still have achievements locked. Games which gave that vibe for me: Kynseed and the Cock-A-Hoop achievement, Yonder and all its boring collector ones, At Winter's End cause it's purely luck based and one playthrough is boring enough, Lego Lord of the Rings for its bugged achievements, South Park The Stick of truth cause it's a missable trophy nightmare and I missed only 1 collectible friend, Two Worlds 2 cause I already played the full game and they implemented trophies later. Sooo... don't blame me. I am playing games like I want.
You can't delete them, but you can hide them. They will be visible when you look at your trophies, but they will be removed from all other lists.
This also helps with those games that you started once, played for 2 minutes but got a trophy, and now you have a game you can't remove that is bringing down your overall average, and cluttering your PSNProfiles page with a bunch of crappy games you have no intention of ever starting again.
I found this process tricky to actually do, because PlayStation buries it.
1. Go to "Trophies" on your playstation.
2. Hit the "Options" button.
3. Choose "Privacy Settings"
4. Choose "Hidden Games"
5. Enter your password
6. You will see 2 options (on PS4, sorry I can't confirm PS5 steps)
- Hidden Games for PS4 - This seems to have ALL games associated with your account, I chose to hide the games from here first but it did not hide the games on my profile.
- Hidden Games for PS3 and PS Vita - This list seemed to contain ONLY the games that I had tropies for, not only was this WAY easier to find the right game to hide, but it successfully hides the games from my profile.
7. Choose the games you would like to hide, and confirm.

I don't really think too much about some of the platinum I got. I look at platinum in 4 categories, the BS, the annoying, the balanced, and I need a break with some easy crap platinums after grinding 100 hours or more on a single platinum - if I even get that platinum. I don't consider myself hardcore on medal hunting, but I also have over a 100 platinum, with most of them that anyone can respect. If some people don't like some of the platinum I got, who cares.
The only platinum I am someone ashamed of is Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare remastered. I went through the game on Veteran difficulty til the end on Mile High Club, the mission I lost my mind on. There was an exploit where you played through the mission on easy and reloaded on Veteran and the trophy pops. Whether I’m worthy of forgiveness for my misdeed or not it doesn’t sit right in my heart.
Mine is Hollow Knight I did an invincibility glitch to do the Pantheon of Hallownest because I was full of rage and spite. The worst part is I'd only done 2 pantheons before deciding to do this so I never beat most pantheons, NKG or the trial of the fool legitimately
