Powerstancing two Mytha's daggers works really well for poison builds.

Poison stuff:
Mytha’s bent blade is probably the coolest poison weapon (im sure an infusion on a regular weapon is better though) and can be powerstanced for really fast poison procs.
Rat covenant ring and sanctum gauntlets makes poison buildup faster.
Since poison damage doesn’t scale with anything a fun idea is to put less points into str/dex and more into other stats to add variety to the build (assuming you are relying only on poison damage)
Your videos honestly helped me so much, there are some bosses I struggle a lot with and watching how you fight them has helped me learn how to do better against them! Keep up the great work!

A Mace build would be pretty cool, I remember they used to be pretty good power stanced back in the day. The stagger was pretty nutty iirc!!

Mace has always been my number one weapon, especially in 2 since you can have it on like every build I get why people use rapier but you can’t beat the poise breaking such a satisfying swing too
I feel like you going through the process of getting the weapon is the better format for your kind of videos. We know how strong the weapon usually is, hence why you have to go to DLC or to a late game area/boss, so the process to get it and your route for materials is always so nice to see every time.

The Ruler's Sword is a pretty fun weapon to use
its damage increases with souls held and it can also be buffed by resin/spells
2 ultra greatswords i think are unique are the drakewing ultra greatsword and the king's ultra greatsword.

Important things for poison builds:
1. Poison Mist and Toxic Mist pyromancies and Dark Fog Hex are your ranged poison/toxic buildups
2. Gavlan has infinite poison throwing knives and rotten pine resin when he gets to Doors of Pharos
3. Rat covenant ring increases your poison buildup
4. Dex increases poison buildup scaling on weapons
5. Black Scorpion Stinger rapier from Tark in shaded woods after killing Freja (or killing him and buying it from Melentia) is a non-scaling poison weapon that's free to infuse with Raw if you aren't going Dex or with more Poison for buildup

Also idk if its been said already but typically damage type splitting performs worse even if the damage number in your stats is higher.
100 physical will deal more than lets say 110 physical/lightning because the enemies resistance will apply to both dmg types.
Thats the reason why using magic buffs and magic infusion in combination is better. Sticking to 1 type gets most damage in practice (of course if they arent super resistant)

Grand lance? I’ve never really seen anyone give the weapon a chance.
I beat the game my first time with the twin dragon great shield and the grand lance. The counter hits, being able to hit from behind your shield safely, the charge is actually really fun and helped me kill a few invaders 😂
I’ve never done power stance grand lances so I have no idea what the move set is.

You could do a Pate kit only run and you only have to kill four bosses to get all his stuff; last giant (summon Pate), Dragon Rider(Hydes Tower), Skeleton lords & covetous demon, and he gives you it in Earthen Rise after getting the chest he tells you about

I think it's nice to just add weapon in if it's really far away from the start and takes a lot of setup, but watching you setup the run is actually really interesting, so I think it's better the way it is r
Have you considered doing similar videos to these but for other souls games? I think a Farron greatsword run in ds3 or an Artorias greatsword run in ds1 would be really cool

Only thing I would change is having the miracle trainer at the bonfire in Heide’s rest, the Sorceror trainer at the Path to No Man’s wharf, and Felkin at the Lost Bastile, specifically the Tower Apart.

Awesome video as always, quick tip, make sure to update the ds2 lighting engine to the newest version. They’ve done a lot of fixes to make darker areas more visible and especially in the dlc making it look better

If you bonfire ascetic the first area of Huntsman Cope and head over to the bridge approach bonfire by the butterfly you can force spawn a Forlorn that counts towards Straid.
for the poison build u def want a bow and if u do gavlaans questline u can buy unlimited poison arrows. the pyromancies poison and toxic mist, as well as dark fog are really good (dark fog casts a lot faster) and iirc there is one specific knive in the game, i think u craft it from a boss soul, that has a lot of poison dmg. i think with just that u can probably do a nice poison build.

Probably the next build I wanna see is the Blue Flame, especially powerstanced Blue Flame. When I tried it out on my first (and still currently paused) playthrough of DS2, it was super saucy, especially with weapons buffs on both my swords
And actually, what do you think about the hybrid casting weapons in general, like the blue flame? And would you prefer using just the normal spell catalyst compared to hybrid weapons?

If you want to do a forlorn cosplay, he’s guaranteed to invade near the 2nd bonfire in huntsman’s copse, and using an ascetic on the first bonfire in huntsman’s copse will respawn him. It has to be the first bonfire that you ascetic even though he’s closer to the second 🤷♂️

Yo homeboi im currently watching a couple older videos were you struggle a bit with equip load and the flynns ring so i just wanted to say that you can level up to 14 vit which is 59.5 equip load without the flynns boost going down, only after 60 equip load it starts to decrease. Also love your vids keep it up bro

as for myself I enjoy both processes :)
First of, great video as always. But I must say I also would love to see a forlorn build because its pretty hard and all your damge is reliant on your hollowing. You would need to be at half life for the whole run when you get your hands on the weapons.
So about poison, poison build up scales with dex and adp, it does not increase the damage but it is a flat damage amount, there is actually a katana with poison, its in a weard place tho
That's Manslayer and it's really good poison weapon.
Power stancing it with a darkdrift it's good against some bosses tho (Poison+Bleeding by blood serum)

bro, x12 forbidden sun build ( ng+ build, i don't remember if we can farm forbidden with the ascetic and the quest but i'm afraid we can't, but u know how to use CE so u can just pop some Forbidden in your inventory )

- hexer's hood , old knight armor , lion mage hands , lion mage legs
- dark pyro flame
- foot soldier sword dark infusion ( x2 since low durability, 1 in inventory rdy to be equipped )

- third dragon ring - life ring+3 - flynn's ring - southern ritual band +2
