When A Prime Chad Ochocinco Went to Revis Island
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 1 июн 2021
- Just for clarification, Revis did face Chad Ochocinco in week 17, the week before their wild card matchup and the "final level" Although by half time the Bengals had rested their starters. Since they already won the division, so it wasn't really a matchup.

Revis was ridiculously good
he was shutting everyone down that year
If this doesn't prove that he deserves to be considered very good for his position, I don't know what will! Great video!
Thank you!
Very good? VERY GOOD?! This guy was dominant for nearly his whole career. He was the definition of a shutdown corner.
Metal_Kid nah he had a short prime,I wouldn’t say his whole career,2009 Revis is the best cb season of all time
@@houndoomdarkrai8926 I did say most of his career
@@houndoomdarkrai8926 in 2015 was his final amazing season
Chad beat him multiple times but the QB threw terrible balls. But Revis still a lock #2 CB of all time. Great Vid.
@Christian Brito Primetime
@Christian Brito dion
I cant put Dion over Revis. Revis was really locking youngins and pressing them one on one with hardly any help most of the plays. Rex was really bold for that
@@thebucketmanj8525 You must’ve never watched Deion play.. As good as Revis was, still ain’t better than Prime Time. Dude was just that good.
Ramsey when he retires wouldve arguably went against the most HOF wrs then any CB. Hes gonna be #2
Jesus Christ this channel helps me acknowledge why Revis was so fucking good
Revis was elite but this isn’t prime ocho
true
Still a prow bowler
Exactly and that wasn't a prime Moss or Owens.
@@Mr.Furley412 yes it was prime Moss and TO but Chad no
@@handsomedevil254 huh
Revis island covered some of the best WRs for a good 3 yr prime
Randy Moss
Marques Colton
Terrell Owens
Calvin Johnson
Andre Johnson
Torrey Smith
Anquan Boldin
I remember him shutting them down and others leaving them under 35 yds never have I ever seen that he was special
This channel is lit I’m learning about a lot of matchups I didn’t see
Revis is the 2nd best corner of all time. Really depending on who you ask. That spot could go both ways between Primetime and Revis Island. Also fun fact, the Jets made back to back AFC championship games in 2009 and 2010. One of the best players of all time. Revis Island baby!
Im here early👀...love the channel bro
Thank you!
Amazing video, just found you and love the videos. But chads prime was when his name was Johnson still. he was still solid as ocho but had his best seasons with JOHNSON on his back.
This is crazy keep up the good work
When the goat made a vid😩
Revis had the greatest peak of any CB but Sanders had a better overall career. Depending on how you look at it, most would say Sanders is better because he was able to do it year in and year out on different teams. 2009 Revis and only 2009 was better than any of Sanders years and I say that is because Revis is better against the run and shedding screens and people don't look at that for some reason. Having a corner that can shut down the run and screens is key in today's game.
I am a Jets fan, respectfully that year was a tough task and he made it look easy. Also, as a fan you really didn't see him to much on your screen because they didn't like to throw the football on his side of the field. Which is where the nickname Revis Island came about. If you wasn't watching football or watching Jets games. You would go by statistics and the hype but he was the truth and what I seen ain't there yet today for what he has done but I seen similar before Revis era from HOF's. He has a gift to throw off the QB's angles, trying to get the ball to their receivers. So, that is why you see bad throws. Unless, you see him every Sunday. You will not realize it.
You’re so underrated
If he went to the AFC Championship why was the wildcard his " final challenge " when he still faced Reggie wayne with the Colts?
What I learned: Carson Palmer doesn't like his WR or he would of helped Ochocinco with better passes.
Ocho would have won the battle if he had a better QB
Its basically impossible for a DB to win these since any catch is a loss and there isn't any stats a db can get that are a win. A catch is way easier than an INT
Hahahaha. Ask the rest of league. Revis shut down better WR’s than Ocho Cinco. Ask Megatron, Andre Johnson, Terrel Owens, Randy Moss, Steve Smith and Reggie Wayne.
Lmao....he shut everyone down
One of the best tackling corners also
He was hurt that game though ..if u watched the game during pregame warmups Chad hurt his knee running routes and didn’t do good that game
He definitely was not in his prime at that point
2009 as Chad Johnson’s prime? He was out of the league a little over a year later.
he retired in 2010
He was one of the best, but Stevie Johnson gave him trouble.
he threw chad all bad balls lol😹
Revis is probably top 2 alltime in his position, but are yall really going to act like a lot of those weren't bad passes. Ocho had a few open tds if it weren't for Carson Palmer choking
Uh there where alot of bad passes but Revis was a good corner & Chad was nice also
It like a video game 🎮
That was Carson Palmer too
To everyone saying this doesn’t prove anything, Reevis had ocho and every top 10 WR locked under 35yrds this season in 2009. This play came in 2Q and did result in points impacting low scoring jets win. This is just a back shoulder with ocho seemingly having no awareness of such a ball so there 🤷♂️
that wasn’t prime ocho tho
Chad had him beat for a touchdown if Palmer just throws a good pass
No disrespect to Revis but alot of this was old receivers out of there prime, bad passes and rushed passes due to blitzing. I can see if that was T.O. from his 49ers days, Randy Moss when he was a Viking. Still believe he's a top 3 of all time though.
Randy moss lead the league in TD that year
@@gaudimatos5563 true but he still wasn’t the 4.25 moss ….. that moss even caused Deion to play off coverage.
Don't forget to mention the Saints won the super bowl that year
U once had 500 subs and look at u now
Tbh chads we was selling him that hole game just look at the throws chad is open most of the time he was just over and under throwing him
4:39
I don't think Chad was in his prime by this stage
Lol
Hi
That pick he got that revis got wasn’t his fault
wouldn’t say prime Chad johnson😹 he was out the league a year later
I should of been the quarter back
Revis lowkey holding him at the beginning
This is a good video but the lines sound to scripted. 7/10. Hopefully you fix that a little.
Who hear After I AM ATHLETE
Yeah he was great that year but 2008 stevie Johnson smoked him in Buffalo.
This comment section proves this is an offensive game. Nobody likes defensive players and are quick to discredit them for ANY reason. Revis shut chad down just like he did the rest of those big time wrs that season. Cornerback is the hardest position in football. Receiver is the easiest. There is no excuse. He won plain and simple
They only thing was he only played 7 years
Referring to revis
Alot of those matchups were misleading bcuz alot of the Wrs had bad qbs, and jets were had the Patriots number all yr that yr, alot of the Wrs were out of their prime. Nd Chad was way gone nd Carson Palmer was not the same since Steelers hurt him in the playoff.
Ehh take Steve smith off i watched them highlights jake was under throwing Steve
hell no hell no hell no when looking at 1v1 you gotta take into account the qb throwing into account chad beat him multiple times the qb had terrible ball placement
Good video, just got annoyed ab how much your milking time saying the exact same thing about the “gauntlet”
Bru be fair and know football Carson palmer really.. seen the first 3 throws why show??
That was not a prime ochocinco this whole video is a reach
If you guys actually go back and watch these matchups, you will either see Revis locking up bad receivers, receivers out of their prime, or just horrible throws from QBs.
Or Revis holding 😂
He locked Calvin too. Gotta give Revis his respect. In his prime he was the #1 corner in the league for 3-5 years.
Your insane
Moss was 32
Moss had his best season though
@@killamatrix1 at 32? hell no. His prime was in Minnesota
He didn’t shout down Chad. Bad passes.
AJ Green avenged Ocho😂
Prime Revis was locking up a lot of guys that were past their prime
And then Prime AJ Green went ahead burned Revis when he was past his prime 😂😂🤣
palmer had a bad game though
A lot of had throws
4:30 minutes of nothing but trippin
Eh. Carson was just lobbing shit up
Kinda sus nothing about the colts
What happened to the play where Moss burned Revis deep for a touchdown and Revis acted like he pulled his hamstring cause he know he got burned.
Lol you bring up one play..lmao
@@tru-sneakerhedz579 DUH lets see: Tyrelle idk if im receiver or Qb Pryor ate him up for 101 recieving yards in the first. Sammy ate him up for 77 yards. Malcom Mitchell caught a touchdown against him. And the best one is Marquise Goodwin burned him on a 84 yard touchdown pass that was thrown by Tyrod journeyman Taylor. I don't need to laugh but tell me what that humbled pie taste like??
@@purpraid451 lmao..ok ok every expert agrees hes top 3 ALL time my man..but you know better..lol
@@purpraid451 people like you who bring up specific plays to try and prove thay someones career is a bust is laughable... i have seen dion sanders get burned..I have seen micheal jordan get dunked on by starks..hes he a better player?....lmao... one of the best corners hands down of all time..so just stop your weak argument ...he locked down numer ones every frigin weak..end of story
@@tru-sneakerhedz579 I didn't say anything about him being a scrub he's a future Hall of Famer. But even the great ones have their bad days. Pay close attention. You first commented of my comment where I said what happened to the PLAY were Moss burned Revis.
jesus luvs u all and died on the cross for u🥰
No disrespect to ocho but Revis vs Jamar Chase.. Different story.. Different outcome..
Absolutely not. Haven’t even seen this kid play a snap yet. Revis has Shut down Moss, Ocho, Megatron, Andre Johnson, Brandon Marshall, Wayne, Owens. You obviously must be a bengals fan
@@connorrichendollar5456 well make sure you reply after u see how elite Chase will be.
@@leagueofpatriots6481 that’s like saying Patrick Surtain can shut down Jerry Rice. Your opinion has literally nothing behind it.
@@connorrichendollar5456 no its not.. Its sayin Chase will be as elite as Rice.
Just like Montana with Rice it will be Burrow with Chase.
AJ Green conquered Revis Island.
Chad Johnson almost beat Revis multiple times
You repeat stuff to much for a 6 min video.
All those bad passes Lmfaooooo
Revis Vs one of the the bum QBs Chad sadly had to deal with during his career. Not to take anything away from Revis but those QBs were ass
HE DIDNT SHIT OCHO DOWN. PALMER WAS OFF ON MULTIPLE PASSES. HE HAD REVIS BEAT DAYUM NEAR EVERY REP. PALMER HAD A HORRIBKE ACCURACY DAY. CHAD DROPPED 2 PASSES. 1 SHOULD HAVE BEEN A TD... both times Revis was beat. Making videos without the proper context is irresponsible and asinine.
yes that's what i just said
Bad throws
LMAO YOU WONDER WHY I SAY REVIS IS OVERRRATED 😆 🤣 😂 😹 😆 🤣
Yeah I’m sorry but Revis didn’t lock shit up those r bad passes chad was open a lot just mis throws
he did lock him up. he had 2 catches for 28 yards. that’s the definition
@@devin7043 not what I’m saying I’m saying look how many times he got open and didn’t get a good pass
Revis was elite but Johnson in his 9th season coming off injury. Garbage
I hate commentary
LOOK AT THE BUM QBS REVIS HAD TO FACE ON HIS SPECTACULAR RUN. NONE OF THEM CAN THROW THE BALL ACCURATELY, NOW GO LOOK THAT UP, AM I LYING?
Darrelle Revis was overrated
