Mega's sprite isn't that much different than *Mega Man and Bass* / *Rock Man and Forte,* except how he has to hold the Buster Arm often to charge up.
The Megaman 8/Megaman & Bass graphics were always my favorite ones, along with the X4-X6 graphics
Same here, i wish see other Robot Masters on MM8 Sprite style like Snake Man and Shadow Man.
Even a crossover game with Classic and X series, using the MM8 Sprites and MMX4 - 6 sprites would fit perfectly.
So like... 32-bits, those are the bomb :)

This is a cool hack. Would've been even cooler if Bass' sprites were also Mega Man 8 style but eh, still pretty cool.

The PSX/Saturn MM8 Sprites works really well, it's strange due how work the MM7 animation, but it's a cool hack.

An awesome hack! If they can just make an hack that can make you speed up some other pauase or an slow time of boss defeated, stage clear sequences and boss encounter sequences etc a bit faster!

It's an interesting hack, for sure, but I like so much the original Rockman 7 sprites, the best one for me, it seams like the natural evolution from Classic saga for Famicom.

Well, I know you don't read the comments much, but I want to ask you for an idea for a future MM7 hack after you did this one (if you want)
A hack that makes Zero (from MMX1) available to be playable in the style of MM7, with maybe new speech texts , HUD , and intro (including texts)
(it seems a bit strange for a X saga character to be in the Classic saga, but I think it's a good idea)

Fun Fact: The reason Megaman and Bass (Rock man & Forte) was created was to prove that Megaman 8 could have been released on the the Super Nintendo. And that the Super Nintendo could keep up with the PSX.
I notice that Mega runs, slides, and charges faster. Also i know it's been a long time since i played this game but i didn't know that Freeze Cracker was Danger Man's weakness.

I applied the MM8 sprite patch to the MM7 of the snes, it has the same problem as the one on the psx in the intro, megaman should receive an operator cap and the second time the correct one, but it always shows the correct one, it was strange, do you intend to correct it?

maybe it is just me but i think the original mega man series was best in 8bit and mega man x was best in 16 bit
It definitely sounds like some of the music samples were changed, too. Freeze Man's stage is definitely not the original version of the song.
EDIT: It's likely a substitute song? did the game not play the music after the hack? The original song had samples where the Freezeman that plays in this video replaced, but those samples are used in other parts of this video so I'm assuming the song was added in with video editing (or it's also using MSU-1)

Nice long play, not too rushed, too bad that used the boss weapons for quick kills so we can't appreciate the boss attack patterns. But I like this style of playing well but not skipping the game, some speedruns are boring because of the game play skip.
How did you change the music?
is it just me, or does the animation speed plus moving speed that much better with the MM8 sprites?
They didn't replace the Bass sprites despite him having his own set of newer sprites like Megaman from the same game.

The only thing that looks weird in this hack is how Rock's walking animation is faster than his movement speed. Well, it makes sense, since his psx/mm&b sprite had more frames than in 7.
