I’m impressed with how much tequila you drank and you were still standing you are a true Canadian
As a Mexican, its trully amazing seen more people interested in our culture, if you wanna ride a train, ride "El chepe" in winter!
Your culture is awesome, my guy!
I’m an electrician from the south. I used to work shut downs in oil refineries and a lot of the scaffold personnel were Mexican mostly. I can say without hesitation that home cooked Mexican food is as good as it gets and it’s not very close. These dudes wives always sent them to work with great meals but I was almost more impressed with their kindness. They’ll share any food they have with you, especially if you’re like me and can make them laugh with how much Spanish I spoke. My go to phrase was always, sana sana colita de rana si no sana hoy sanara manàna. 😂😂 good times and great memories but even better food. Amazing culture and people.
Mexican culture is my favorite culture. Food. Music. Dancing. Religion. Celebrations. Family. Life skills. On and on. And I’m as gringo as it gets.
You have a great culture and great people, minus the narcos. Oh, and the food culture… Birria de chivo, tacos especially lengua, tamales, and mole and chocolate!
@@theathjryou’re not so gringo based on how knowledgeable you are
😂 I was yelling at the screen for you to take your tamale out of the husk before you bite into it. 😂
Hahaha I noticed that too.
As a Mexican and from Jalisco this is so funny to watch 😂
And also slightly annoying at how ignorant he seems.
@@prettymagnoliasjthey didn’t even know what a tamale was! Well, they survived pretty well
I don't think that you and your buddy will ever age after getting pickled on the tequila train! 🤣❤️
I am cracking up....."Where are we going next?" "We dont know but we....oh it's not time yet". 😂😂😂😂
I would pay good money to of gone on this trip with yall.....so much fun.
Hahaha, thanks Allan! I think the tequila helped! Lol!
Just make sure you don't ride the one called "la bestia" 😅
It is crowded with the so called migrants heading to the u.s. border , ALL from Central America, Venezuela, Cuba , Haiti , and even Asia
Tip, they all ride for FREE ! ....... .... 😡
Woooo! How were you feeling when all that tequila wore off the next morning? 😂 Looks like a fun day 😊
😊😊
That’s what I wanna know
This type of tequila doesn't give you a headache next day!
For all the tequila flowing, you guys held up quite well! I've not been on the tequila train but did get to visit a distillery "near" Mazatlan on my first visit there six years ago. The tequila was flowing there as well. And I brought home a lot more than I could drink in a few years. 😂 Tequila cream anyone?
Mike - with the current issues taking place in Mexico, how prevalent, if at all, was the security surrounding your trip and the guests?
@@mstrdiver Which issues? There's no need for extra security on trips like this or in hotels, or almost anywhere. If you're referring to the cartel issues then you probably need extra security if you're a cartel member or you're a journalist trying to investigate cartels but for the other 134 million people who live in Mexico or for the other 66 million tourists to Mexico each year, there's no need. Your biggest danger is tripping on uneven sidewalks or getting run over by a combi. Really, that's not an exaggeration. The water will get you a thousand times before you'll even seen a hint of cartel activity.
This was awesome! The fact that you guys didn’t know much about the experience going into it actually added a really exciting dynamic to the video. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time!
There is actually a Jose Cuervo. He is the great grandson of the founder. He owns a restaurant in Cabo San Lucas. The family still owns the distillery. When I was on a cruise in February we took a tour to his restaurant. Free food but only five types of Tequila. Learned a lot about Tequila that day. Hope your hangover the next day was better than mine.😂
Cabo San Lucas was a regular port of call for the Love Boat.
Now this is a train ride I want to take
Enjoyable video! Mexico seems to be reviving their rail networks (Tren Maya) so hopefully another Mexico trip is on the Downie horizon. Looking forward to next week and El Chepe!
You should go to the south … in Morelos is where I group up… the ojos de agua , ríos and lagunas are so beautiful… enjoy my country … and viva Mexico 👍
Oh my goodness! I'm having tequila flashbacks from my misspent youth... 😆But I'm glad you had such a fun adventure!
I love the community element of this trip. A lot of the fun was before you even stepped on the train.
wow, that's a LOT of tequila. It looks like a lot of fun.
After drink number 7 I half expected to see you both crash the stage with the mariachi band 😂
Mike, this looked like a fun trip! Love my Better Slate Than Never hat!
Glad to hear it Ken! Thanks again for helping me support WIRTH and the work they do for mental health :)
In the future you can ride some British Trains in Mexico as they had some British Rail Class 43 High Speed Trains exported. As for this train in the video it really looks amazing and people in Mexico know to have fun!
Your train trips are always a surprise. My coworkers were surprised with the combination of tequila & trains.
Hahaha, yeah, this was an interesting train ride, for sure!
I love the experience. That’s a must go tour one day God willing
As someone from Guadalajara and that has enjoyed drinking since an early age I got really happy to see how my people treated yall so nicely!
Also godamn my dude you really can handle your drink! 👏
Subbed
Mike, thanks for that trip down memory lane and too many tequila times in Mexico and elsewhere. That burgundy drink was probably jamaica. Made from a kind of hibiscus flower and made around the world with of course, local names. Looking forward to the copper canyon trip coming up.
It's a wonderful, comfortable train, perfect for families, lovers, and solo travel. Traveling on a train like this makes me think of when I was a child and my father was always by my side. A train like this is the dream of many people who want to travel. Travel in a distant and lovely direction...💖
Tequila and trains. Great combination.
It sure is!
That was wild haha. I don't think I could have drank all of that tequila like you guys were able to. Such a fun video! 😂
6:00 those are the piña from the agave plants that’s been cooked, you eat it like chewing gum once the flavor is gone you spit it out
You have to drink with every 5th word I type. Tequila! LOL Very cool train!!
Downie does tequila - great experience!
Done that trip myself
Its genuinely a drinking game dressed up as a tour. I had 7 or 8 samples in Tequila and more on the train.i was definitely happy by the end.
On your drinks, the second one is Jamaica i think, I drink it alot as my wife makes it.
The first one Im not sure it could be water with lime or Agua de coco thats flavored.
In mexico go with it, its nearly always delicious #viva
That was a really awesome Ride, man I even feel dizzy of seeing you guys trying so many Tequilas...!! 🤣 Culture and Dance, hopefully you guys enjoyed the Train, can't wait to see the ride in the CHEPE next week. 😁 Cheers...!! 🍸👍
Watching this, I feel like passing out after you guys drink your way to the Tequila train and even on the train. Party on dudes. 😁
I have never been a bigger fan than I am today Downie ❤
Can’t wait to see what is coming next!
Wow, You guys can hold your Tequila.. I am considering this tour myself. Thanks for the video and what to expect. I'm glad you had a great time and you learned a little too. Mexico is definitely very cultural, and they love their alcohol.
8:43 Got Me Dead 😭😭😭 He Drunk Already
That looked like the most fun trains and happy people ever. Good video.
I would have died 😂😂😂 what an amazing experience!
Why is this my first time hearing about this magnificent tequila train ? Unbelievable
Wow that’s a lot of drinks! Impressive how you can still hold yourself up. I get tipsy after one. 😂
The dark red drink you had at the beginning looks like agua de jamaica. It's a hibiscus drink that's very popular in Mexico.
Tequilathon and tequila train ride✅. Fun times!
I feel drunk just watching this! 😂
As a mexican I'm pleased you've come to our country and enjoyed our culture
Tamales can be confusing. LOL Definitely an adventure!
New train video! This is awesome 👏 tequila!
Indeed it is!
Great video! altough it really surprises me how blindy they went into this. There are tours in english which are most advised if you dont speak spanish. Also, the train can be taken from Guadalajara to the ton of Tequila where they show you the agave fields and the tequila making process but they did it backwards: they went to tequila first and took the train back from Tequila to Guadalajara.
Yes, tours are offered in both directions, and we chose to have the train at the end, as the finale of our day. Also, we chose the English tour, there just were very few English speakers there.
My liver is hurting just watching all these mystery drinks go down.
oh i think i have a hangover just watching this!
Totally missed opportunity to sing, "it's another tequila sunrise..." 🎶 🍸 🌅
IT'S ALWAYS 5 O'CLOCK IN TEQUILA MEXICO. 😅😅😅
Great video...never would have guessed there was such a train! Love the hats too. I'm ordering one now.
Awesome! Thank you!
The Hangover that you guys had must have been MARVELOUS! Nice and entertaing video. Loved it!
Thank for the pin! 😁👍
I love how you can see them get progressively drunker throughout the video XD
Awesome! I would take this train! Nice to have you back!
Mike definitely passed the vibe check, he's invited to the next Carne Asada.
Always a delight to watch your videos! Love seeing you and your friends having fun on your adventures!
This was hilarious 😂 l don’t speak Spanish either so I’d be lost just like you guys
Great video Mike! You sure pickled your liver in that one - it would have been interesting to see how you navigated your way around after you got off that train 😂
Hahaha. I must have stopped recording for a reason! ;)
Was good to see you having fun! Dont be ashamed being tipsy in a video once in a while.
So very fun to watch! Thanks
What a great trip for you guys. ❤
This is amazing! I want to do this tour
Wow that looks so fun!! I wanna go now!
Thanks!this looked like so much fun!
Lol at 9:18 u noe that tequila is smacking 😂 "ready as we can be"⚰️
God I miss Mexico. I haven't been for 10 years.
Love it! That looked amazing but I don’t think I could drink that much 😂 I’m excited about the copper canyon video. My and another family (our closest friends) did that same trip back in the mid 80’s when I was a teenager. It was very magical!!
Mike!!! I have been looking every day to see if you have a new video. You always have the best content. There is no place on the internet that has the train content like you. Every time you have a video about trains it is the best. Thank you sir and hope you have a blessed day.
Wow! It's fascinating to me that you've never had a tamale before. 😂
Its hilarious listening to your slurry narration the whole time 🤣
WOW what a show . I Love the hats I gotta have one ! I hope you remembered that train journey after all that Tequila !! 😁😁😂😂💯💯
Gracias gringuitos. Próximas vacaciones será visitará a don cuervo. There is sorber train The Chepo, It’s for turists too.
15:27 there are more passenger trains in Mexico being built and already running like
CDMX - Toluca train
Maya Train
Inter oceanic train
All interstate trains
Great video! So entertaining! I loved the spontaneity of the trip
this would’ve had me floored
Wonderful. I've added another item to our bucket list.
That looked like a lot of, we'll have to try that next time we go to Guadalajara. Can't wait to see you ride El Chepe!
Tequila with the promise of an exceptional my type of train trip. Thanks for appealing to more than one type of audience. Do wish you would find a fancy clamping horse trip into the back country next summer! I did a two weeker basics into the California San Gragornian mountains in high school I'll never forget. I bet the clamping ones will be fantastic. Glad you keep in shape science shows alcohol is hard on brain cells. Want you around for awhile kiddo! Hope you find some more healthy sponsors!
What a fun time!! Gotta love Tequila!! Great video 😊🥂🚂😊
Cool. Sounds like a fun time.
My maternal grandfather was a mariachi and played the guitar
I'm sure glad I caught this one on UT. If I had tried that tour I would have been totally "OUT" before I got on the train. Even if I only sipped each drink. WoW! Loved the experience and being hangover free. 🤟
I WOULD BE TORE UP i could neva neva neva. I would end up in the middle of a city on the news naked ! 🤣😂
I'm Mexican and actually loved your funny and informative video.Wild wild Mexico, with a taste of mucha tequila.
Wow!! What a trip! I can hardly wait for your trip through the Copper Canyon. I live in El Paso and have been wanting to take that trip for years. Now I'll get a chance to see it with you on the next video.
Que bien muchachos pero como tomaron trago fuerte es pura dibercion y muy hermosos lugares felicidades
Too funny Mike!!!
You got your butts kicked by José.😂😂😂
You eat hot soup on hot days. Idk why, but my husbands whole family (they’re Mexican) does this. It really is a thing 😂❤❤
Cool video man. I would have been sleeping on the floor of the train after all that alc... lol
That’s my hometown 🥹🥹
Another awesome Train Video Man!
And another Awesome Country off your bucket list ;)
Keep up the good stuff man! :D
Mike you took that trip like a champ! I remember "the slow train to Nogalas" it googles but just barely. I need that bucket hat!!!!
Haha, I'll check it out! It was a fun trip. Enjoy the hat!

I haven't laughed so hard in a long time! When in Rome I guess... Loved the vlog!
This was awesome. I would love to do this. Thank
Your travel vids/channel are top notch Mike. Keep up the good work. Like in the beginning of the video, my morning started with a cup of cafe de olla. Best coffee there is in my opinion. The cinnamon flavor hits hard, but in a good way.
holy shit congrats on this cool experience!
😂 Viva México! Viva tequila!
