I learned in my college writing class to eliminate "I feel.. I think.." and just to state what needs to be said. it was a life changing thing for me to learn and I love every time you share this! it makes you much more credible and confident.

As a young woman in a teaching position, I've had trouble with children and their parents not respecting me, and treating me as if I'm a student teacher. It's a bit frustrating seeing my coworkers who have the same or even less experience than me being treated like adults, while I'm still asking the kids to not call me by just my first name. I've implemented some other methods to assert myself a bit more, and I'll keep these tips in my arsenal :).

I am curious how do you to deal with facial tensing up (tense smile, etc) while trying to be balanced I also have this intense urge to swallow especially talking to bosses or people I deem high value. I am trying to be more balanced in my energy too
