Brilliant brilliant band Roger uses his voice like an instrument harmonies off the chart powerful mesmerising to watch live City Hall Newcastle seventies. My brother in law took me to see them-blew me away!!

I love when Chappo kicks over his mike-stand and then playfully hits the tech on the head when he replaces it. I grew up in the 70s and have been a lifelong fan of the decade's pop/rock/R&B music. I JUST discovered these guys. Never heard of any of them before save McBrain (maybe I heard of Chapman at some point, I don't know). This band was AMAZING. They had Chappo, who's like Van Morrison meets Al Jarreau, TWO lights-out guitarists in Tench and Whitney who were equally proficient at rhythm and lead, and this incredible co-lead vocalist in Tench. I mean, the rhythm section was terrific, but you don't even need to go there they're so top-heavy. I don't care one iota that they never got big. I'm just happy to have found their music and these incredible sound-stage performances.

Among his many vocal abilities, Roger sure knows how improvise vocally with all manners of appropriate swoops, shrieks, and always singing dead on tune.

St Alabans 75 or maybe 76 and some poor bloke in the front row had his hat filled with one of Chappos pints off the drum stand and placed back on his head

Wow, I bought this album when it came out (I'm pretty sure it was after seeing them on Old Grey Whistle Test). For those that haven't heard the album versions - I really recommend seeking them out. The production on the album was amazing. Damn wish I still had it!

I find it impossible to determine who's a better guitarist - Tench or Whitney - they're both so amazing and play with so much feel. Neither man has any problem with seeing the other shine, they're just having a good time.

...and you can really hear Jeff Beck's influence on Bobby's playing around this time. Some of those licks are very Beck-ish...and I love it.

At 5:08 This is what got Chapman in hot water on the 1st American Tour of the U.S., with his band called Family. At the Fillmore East(NYC), Roger lost control of his mic. stand, and it almost hit Bill Graham. Maybe this is why he popped the roadie with his tambourine? haha. 5:15
