- In this video I visit the Tres Trapi Beach that is considered a Hidden Gem of Aruba. While a very small beach which is mostly used for getting in and out of the water it is the gateway to crystal clear waters and the best spot for watching turtles in Aruba (best but not the only). While this video starts as a normal vlog, my original intention was to make it a relaxing swim/snorkel video so I figured to give you some additional info and scenic shots of the place. I hope you enjoy it and visit next time you are in Aruba.

We just got back from our incredible trip to Aruba. We jumped in at Tres Trapi around 11am and 10 seconds in I saw my first turtle in the wild! I've snorkeled many times in the Florida Keys and it's always been elusive! I didn't have a GoPro so this video is great for my family to see exactly what I saw! My question is - what kind of turtles are these? Thanks for making awesome videos!

Yes, as mentioned I left most of it without cutting much and without narration so you may enjoy it as if it was you snorkeling with the turtles :-) Some folks like and prefer the videos that way. Can you tell more about where to get a best car rent and UTV rental companies if possible and one last question do you have any recommendations or guidance about getting a phone card with data during my trip
Hello Selim, nice to hear from you. I rented from Top Drive recently and found them nice (compared to some of the other ones). Regarding your phone you can find booth's right after clearing the customs. They will be on your left and right sides just after the sliding door. Look for Setar and Digicel respectively. Both are good but I use Digicel.
Thanks for sharing the video - I love turtles and can spend hours just watching them if they let me. Besides this place and Boca, any other places you recommend for snorkeling from the beach? We are going for the first time in a few weeks. We can't wait! Any places to see dolphins?
Yes, Mangel Halto is also very nice for snorkeling. No places to see dolphins (very rare to spot). Hope my videos are helping!

Hello Michael, thanks for your message. It's one of the most beautiful experiences on the island. The best time is early in the morning when they are more active and it's quiet at the beach. There is also plenty of free parking.
Please come to the Canary Islands 🇪🇸 !!!, Don't stay in The Netherlands when you come to Europe next time haha.

Would you recommend snorkeling one side versus the other to increase the odds of spotting a turtle?
I would recommend swimming straight out checking left and right. Another good tip is to watch were other snorkelers are. If they are not swimming further they may have spotted something interesting.
Am Not a great swimmer but I want to snorkel will I be able to see some of the fish and not go too deep?
Yes ofcourse! There are several spots..Boca Catalina is for example a nice spot. There are also several nice snorkeling tours or combined nice kayak/ snorkeling tours..
Yes, as Gayle mentioned the Boca Catalina would be a great spot even for someone who is not a great swimmer. Lot's of Tropical fish there and I have seen turtle's there too but it's less common. The other option is to take a tour where they will take good care of you and take you to all the best spots.

Greetings Hyro, what do you use to go in the water and record, what can I use to record, in the water, jet skiing etc
I use the GoPro7 (with its casing) in the water✅ While the camera is water proof, I prefer it with the plastic around it to be on the safe side.

I’ve tried to find this beach and haven’t been able to. I must drive right by. Where is it?
Hello Sandy, take the L.G. Smith Blvd road towards the lighthouse. Once you pass where the kitesurfers/windsurfers are keep going until you see the first house on the ocean side (beach side). It's right next to it. Another reference may be that after you pass Ocean Z Restaurant/Boutique Hotel (on the right side) turn left to continue along the coast. It will be there very shortly after your left turn. It can be found on Google maps too if that may help. Good luck and let me know if you did. Tip, go early, 10am or before.

I used the GoPro7 Black. Unfortunately no underwater filter so I had to tinker with the colors in editing.

It’s said that the best time is early in the morning, say 7-10am. But recently I’ve heard them seen even till 1pm. It’s difficult to say 100%. I would suggest 9am to be in the water.

We have seen a beautiful turtle today! Only one, but she was stunning. Calm and eating. We stayed away from her and watched her eat for 15 minutes, then we left her alone :) such a awesome experience, one of the high points of our stay here. Thanks for the tips 🐢🎉🎉🎉
