I'm reminded of Voivod's Angel Rat album (similar title, and released one year prior) with those 'piercing overtones' (see: Clouds in my House) played on the guitar by Jim Martin during the verses.

Nice Longhorn bass. Mine is black just like yours. I love the scale and weight of this bass, and it has a good tone. My only complaint is the volume and tone knobs.
I agree, the knobs are crap. The bass is also not as comfortable on the chest as it could be. But everything else I am very satisfied with, especially the playability.

It's a good bass. Very comfortable for the fretting hand, light weight, it suits me. It could be a bit more comfortable when playing it while sitting, I prefer my Squier bass in that regard.

"Angel Dust" has to be one of the most diverse albums in music. With that mentioned, i think "The Real Thing" has a bit more emphasis on bass. Would be cool if you cover "Falling to Pieces" or "Out of Nowhere," there are pretty cool bass lines in these songs
Indeed, next FNM cover will likely be from The Real Thing. But I'm not yet certain which song I want to tackle, and when.
I was listening to my favorite band's best live performance just now with like a bottle of wine down and it came to an end. Somehow for some reason this came as one of the first plays on youtube for me.
