I sort of knew you, Lowkey, Felipe-Immortal Technique, Payday Monsanto, DISL Automatic, Alias Clay and Steve Grant, I was known under a different name back then. My respect for you, your work and that of so many others is extremely well appreciated. Lulz will always be needed. ;-)
I’ve felt the pain of losing my child, felt the lost and uncontrolled feeling of mental illness (depression and anxiety). I’ve been to hell and I’m not going back. It was the corrupt system That put me in that place and I draw strength from the likes of lowkeys music and my family. They are the reason I am not on the streets and the reason why I can write this. My child is back in my life, I did that! I got him back! 🖕that’s for the system. Love to all, one love.
Hope you're doing well brother! I was in a dark myself recently and i seen very powerful post about mental illness on Mic Righteous instagram that helped me, check it out man.
anth nico thanks brother, I’m a big big fan of Mic, he is inspirational. I hope your struggles ease and you know when to ask for help if you need it. Much love.
Nice to cover the mental health issues of today, and you and I have dealt with them in our lives as have and are so many others. Keep up the great work brothers and sisters. Peace, love and justice.
I can know recall exactly the reason Lowkey has been the single most influential person in my life. He allowed me the power to develop empathy! Thank you for all the light man !
Musically this is brilliant, the different flows mastered together perfectly while still dropping hard hitting deep bars and then Mai Khalil’s beautiful voice is the icing on the cake... the video is beautiful as well so deep going into losing loved ones and the perception of life of a homeless person, more sides to every story than you think, lets unite and help those around us, Inshallah many blessings to all involved in this work of art ❤️🙏🏽
this is gonna make me go out tommorow and im gonna brighten up someones day bcuz of u kareem hope u know u influence alot of people in a positive way !!

Thank you lowkey!! I am going through really bad time with my mental health atm, to the point I have suicidal thoughts but also am panicking about thoughts because I don't want to die. I care about life too much but have little control over my thoughts n emotions. Thank you so much for this music, it makes me feel whole and connected to the world again 💞
UR3ANFISH you are a very brave human. I don’t view your comment as ‘attention seeking’. Stay strong and I hope you the very best. How many of you felt like a tear was about to come down your face as we remember our loved ones or something personal when this song is played, Music in its best form Lyrics from the heart, Don't ever stop my brother 🙏🏼👏🏼👊🏼💪🏼💯
This song has hit me hard just after losing 2 special people in my life...its given me more hope...knowing that im not alone in such an important stage in my life ..thank you💚 may allah protect you guys inshallah 💚 these songs are interpreted in many different ways by many different people and has different effects on each of them...you guys help so much and u might not even know it 💚
I am speechless right now, really don't know what to say fam. You are a beautiful soul brother, I am so glad you are on this plane in this time. Big Up to everyone involved in this production, you should all be really proud of yourselves.
Dear Lowkey. I hope, somehow, you will see this comment. You have the voice of the voiceless. People listen to you. Thanks to you people are more aware of what is happening in the world. But no one ever talks or makes music about Tibet. You cannot be against occupation of Palestine, illegal invasions of Afghanistan, Iraq, Yemen etc, if you don't also speak for all the oppressed people. Tibetans have been oppressed for since the 50's. Pretty much same as Palestinians. Why don't you speak your mind about Tibet? Another one is West Papua. Oppressed since '79. Please, speak for all of the oppressed. You have the voice that people listen to. Peace.
Thank you lowkey, i can never owe to you what you gave to me this life. Thank you for being my role model, you make me confident to be myself and express myself to the fullest. LOVE YOU HABIBI
I still come back to this video from time to time to have a good cry. Thank you lowkey i wish for you to know how much you helped me and my father grieve after the loss of my brother. My dad isnt doing very well after losing his youngest and I showed him this song and told him that im still here for him and i dont want him to end up like the man at the end of the video
This song really touched my heart. Thank you so much Lowkey and Mai Khalil for sharing such a beautiful yet common emotion with us known as love. I hope you never stop producing.
I've watched this video plenty of times, and it makes me cry everytime. I couldn't imagine the loss of a child, this is a beautiful video and song. Mai Khalil and Lowkey have made and continue to make incredible music that have touched me in almost every emotional way. Peace & Love.
8 years on and this man remains the greatest inspiration to me. Thank you for helping us think about life on the deepest of levels. You’re the greatest Lowkey
The world needs equality, more than ever. Lowkey puts compassion into his songs and lyrics. He shows his understanding, of our societies too. 'A good head and good heart are always a formidable combination. But when you add to that a literate tongue or pen, then you have something very special.' Nelson Mandela. Peace love and respect from Scotland. xx
Thank you for being one of my two biggest inspiration in life. The other one is Michael Jackson... words can't describe how much power and inspiration your music, your visions, your dreams and your words gave me through my past years. THANK YOU BROTHER! FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART...
I never ever thought losing my dad would hurt me so much. I had to fight so hard to become the person I am. I started at the bottom and he helped me climb almost to the top and now I'm not sure I can make the rest of the journey on my own.
how is it there I heard a lot of things but never really talked to someone from there. Do you mind telling us a bit about your experience there and the stuff that goes on?
I wrote the lyrics down. Here you guys go: She lost her son on a Sunday Her memories a bloodstain The papers showed his young face Who remembered his mum's name She sleeps with the blanket he was wrapped in as a child He's not dead he's just napping for awhile She thinks backwards with a smile 1 0 clock the hand stops can't accept all the plans lost Sunny Sunday dancing to Vandross like I used to be such a bad bad boy but I gave it up, When I fell in love Hold him close breathe the smell of his skin Preserving every little thing how can she ever begin To move on, Sunday mornings getting their grove on His little hands waved a new born grew strong through song She thinks he's coming in from school Made his favourite dinner too Sit and talking to an empty chair in the living room Roams the streets calling out Things that no one listens to Tried to treat her but they thought Sedition was medicinal No And I don't think they'll ever comprehend this schizophrenic or a broken heart that can't be mended Now she's sitting talking to herself, where the bench is Relatives wonder when she's coming to her senses In her mind, he grew, walked the passage to a man they branded it as madness never planned to understand she can't quiet touch him she imagines that she can holding the fabric to her face squeezing the blanket in her hand sayin Chorus The day they came and took away his son was a Sunday But he only woke up to the news on a Monday More times he knows the situation ends one way But he looks up searching for some hope in the sun rays A year past, 2 years past three years past Finds it hard to get over the shadow that the fear casts Four years past, 5 years past, 6 7 8 past Still lays a hand for him, when they play cards His bedroom as it was doesn't dare to touch a thing Hums/ harms himself to sleep with the songs his son would sing like Ain't no sunshine when she's gone Only darkness everyday Ain't no sunshine now he's gone Only darkness everyday You might see him by the betting shop Asking for a spare pound His shoes are getting tattered and he's losing all his hair now See's him in his dreams but he doesn't know his whereabouts See's him in the mirror cos there's nothing else he cares about See's him in the crowd but the truth is he isn't there Goes after him and chases but every time he disappears Cars passing by him, passengers just sit and stare Talking to himself in a cruel world that didn't care
I work with homeless people and this story is all so familiar, especially with the older homeless people, their child dies, their relationship suffers, they split up and one of them ends up homeless living in a hostel, I’ve seen this so many times, may Allah help us all.
Fucking love this. Initially I wasn’t a huge fan just because the sound isn’t that of a “typical” lowkey song. But after giving it a couple more listens this is amazing. Big up lowkey. True lyrical genius.
True - Light you follow him on Instagram? If not it's Lowkeyonline, check one of his recent snippet of a new song he got coming he's still got that mean flow
Lowkey is still at the top but what it is society and people have changed. They rather listen to rubbish and mumbling over actual good lyrics. The world is dying. Seriously.
Amir The young generation mainly listening to something like Lil Pump. Banger beats no lyrics. I recently discovered Logic and G-Easy. Check them out, brother.
The reason they do the mumble rap is so no one listens to the negative lyrics all they hear is the beat bumping in there ears in reality it's nothing but pure evil stuff your right this world is dead I look up to the sky sometimes and ask God to just take me from this place because I truly do hate it how no one cares about each other we are all brothers and sisters the bible says it and God Bless everyone
japanluv good stuff good music lowkey, Vinnie paz, poor righteous teachers ( wise intelligente) KRS ONE, gift of gab, masta ace, immortal technique, Ill bill and more.
Finished my last exam, seen this and then realised. Anyone who says that all homeless are addicts, alcoholics and what not. Should be sat in a chair and forced to watch this, it’s sick the opinions some have. And it’s usally upper class people, not all before you kill me 😆
LOWKEY FT. MAI KHALIL - SUNDAY MORNING LYRIC [Intro: Mai Khalil & Lowkey] 0:15 When the children see them, they point and laugh When the children see them, they point and laugh When the children see them, they point and laugh But they don't know When the children see them, they point and laugh When the children see them, they point and laugh When the children see them, they point and laugh But they don't know They don't know [Verse 1] 0:56 She lost her son on a Sunday Her memory's a bloodstain The paper showed his young face Who remembered his mum's name? Thank you Lowkey for your many years speaking out for people who very often don't have the opportunity to speak out for themselves

Love love from DUBAI !!! LOVE U ALL !!
Powerful.. You guys!
Every time I hear this I get goosebumps, phenomenal music
I wrote the lyrics down. Here you guys go:
She lost her son on a Sunday
Her memories a bloodstain
The papers showed his young face
Who remembered his mum's name
She sleeps with the blanket he was wrapped in as a child
He's not dead he's just napping for awhile
She thinks backwards with a smile
1 0 clock the hand stops can't accept all the plans lost
Sunny Sunday dancing to Vandross like
I used to be such a bad bad boy but I gave it up,
When I fell in love
Hold him close breathe the smell of his skin
Preserving every little thing how can she ever begin
To move on, Sunday mornings getting their grove on
His little hands waved a new born grew strong through song
She thinks he's coming in from school
Made his favourite dinner too
Sit and talking to an empty chair in the living room
Roams the streets calling out
Things that no one listens to
Tried to treat her but they thought Sedition was medicinal
No
And I don't think they'll ever comprehend this
schizophrenic or a broken heart that can't be mended
Now she's sitting talking to herself, where the bench is
Relatives wonder when she's coming to her senses
In her mind, he grew, walked the passage to a man
they branded it as madness never planned to understand
she can't quiet touch him she imagines that she can
holding the fabric to her face squeezing the blanket in her hand sayin
Chorus
The day they came and took away his son was a Sunday
But he only woke up to the news on a Monday
More times he knows the situation ends one way
But he looks up searching for some hope in the sun rays
A year past, 2 years past three years past
Finds it hard to get over the shadow that the fear casts
Four years past, 5 years past, 6 7 8 past
Still lays a hand for him, when they play cards
His bedroom as it was doesn't dare to touch a thing
Hums/ harms himself to sleep with the songs his son would sing like
Ain't no sunshine when she's gone
Only darkness everyday
Ain't no sunshine now he's gone
Only darkness everyday
You might see him by the betting shop
Asking for a spare pound
His shoes are getting tattered and he's losing all his hair now
See's him in his dreams but he doesn't know his whereabouts
See's him in the mirror cos there's nothing else he cares about
See's him in the crowd but the truth is he isn't there
Goes after him and chases but every time he disappears
Cars passing by him, passengers just sit and stare
Talking to himself in a cruel world that didn't care
Much respect friend! :)
Good work
Copy and paste lol

We need to not rely on others for our happiness or strength, learn to appreciate what we have when we have it, and not mourn it when it’s gone
Yes yes yes lowkey back been to long
Agreed.
Lowkey and Mai Khalil = food for the soul always
This is just beautiful man!
Lowkey: A master of the art. An inspiration.
That singing voice 😍
goosebumbs all over ! that flow and the power of the words used !!
Check them out, brother.
japanluv g eazy lol
The reason they do the mumble rap is so no one listens to the negative lyrics all they hear is the beat bumping in there ears in reality it's nothing but pure evil stuff your right this world is dead I look up to the sky sometimes and ask God to just take me from this place because I truly do hate it how no one cares about each other we are all brothers and sisters the bible says it and God Bless everyone
japanluv good stuff good music lowkey, Vinnie paz, poor righteous teachers ( wise intelligente) KRS ONE, gift of gab, masta ace, immortal technique, Ill bill and more.

Met lowkey recently . What an inspiration he is.
Finished my last exam, seen this and then realised. Anyone who says that all homeless are addicts, alcoholics and what not. Should be sat in a chair and forced to watch this, it’s sick the opinions some have.
And it’s usally upper class people, not all before you kill me 😆
So happy I was able to meet this brilliant man
LOWKEY FT. MAI KHALIL - SUNDAY MORNING LYRIC
[Intro: Mai Khalil & Lowkey] 0:15
When the children see them, they point and laugh
When the children see them, they point and laugh
When the children see them, they point and laugh
But they don't know
When the children see them, they point and laugh
When the children see them, they point and laugh
When the children see them, they point and laugh
But they don't know
They don't know
[Verse 1] 0:56
She lost her son on a Sunday
Her memory's a bloodstain
The paper showed his young face
Who remembered his mum's name?
She sleeps with the blanket he was wrapped in as a child
He's not dead he's just napping for a while
She thinks backwards with a smile
On a clock, the hands stop
Can't accept all the plans
Lost sunny Sundays
Dancing to Vandross like:
I used to be such a bad bad boy
But I gave it up
When I fell in love (ooh)
Hold him close breathe the smell of his skin
Preserving every little thing
How can she ever begin
To move on?
Sunday mornings getting the groove on
His little hands wave, their new-born grew strong through songs
She thinks he's coming in from school
Made his favourite dinner too
Sitting talking to an empty chair in the living room
Roams the street calling out things that no one listens to
Tried to treat her but
They thought solution was medicinal
No
And I don't think they'll ever comprehend it
Schizophrenic or a broken heart that can't be mended
Now she's sitting talking to herself
Where the bench is
Relatives wonder when she's coming to her senses
In her mind, he grew
Walked the passage to a man
They branded it as madness
Never planned to understand
She can't quite touch him
She imagines that she can
Holding the fabric to her face
Squeezing the blanket in her hand
Saying
[Chorus: Mai Khalil & Lowkey] 2:04
Every Sunday morning na ya ya
Every Sunday morning na ya ya
Every Sunday morning na ya ya
I dance with you
I dance with you
(Oooh)
[Verse 2] 2:25
The day they came and took away his son was a Sunday
But he only woke up to the news on the Monday
More times he knows the situation ends one way
But he looks up searching for some hope in the sunrays
A year passed, two years passed, three years passed
Finds it hard to get over the shadow that the fear casts
Four years passed, five years passed, six, seven, eight passed
Still lays a hand for him when they play cards
His bedroom as it was, doesn't dare to touch a thing
Hums himself to sleep with the songs his son would sing, like:
Ain't no sunshine when she's gone
Only darkness every day
Ain't no sunshine now he's gone
Only darkness every day
You might see him by the betting shop
Asking for a spare pound
His shoes are getting tattered
And he's losing all his hair now
Sees him in his dreams but
He doesn't know his whereabouts
Sees him in the mirror
'Cause there's nothing else he cares 'bout
Sees him in the crowd but
The truth is, he isn't there
Goes after him and chases but
Every time, he disappears
Cars pass him by
And passengers just sit and stare
Talking to himself in a cruel world that didn't care
[Chorus: Mai Khalil & Lowkey] 3:38
Every Sunday morning na ya ya (ah ya ya)
Every Sunday morning na ya ya
Every Sunday morning na ya ya (hey)
I dance with you (oh)
I dance with you (ah)
Every Sunday morning na ya ya (every Sunday morning, yeah)
Every Sunday morning na ya ya (ah oh)
Every Sunday morning na ya ya
I dance with you (oh)
I dance with you (ah)
[Outro] 4:20
I don't think I can do this on my own (no no no)
I don't think I can do this on my own (oh)
I don't think I can do this on my own
'Cause I need you
I need you
I don't think I can do this on my own
I don't think I can do this on my own
I don't think I can do this on my own
'Cause I need you (I need you)
I need you
