The story goes that Peluso first played a solo that he thought would be appropriate for the Carpenters. Richard said to play it the way he would do it. It was just perfect for the song.
Hello dear Ramon - bless you and thank you for being here I really appreciate you. Thank you for you lovely words. Have a wonderful week. Psyche 🌹 x 🙋🏽♀️🙏🏽x
Karen had the most beautiful smooth voice ever. She rarely "belted" out songs but rather, sang just above a whisper. Her brother Richard, was himself, an accomplished composer and music director. Together, their harmonies rocked the 70's, and early 80's. Before Karen was known for her vocals, she was already considered one of America's most talented drummers! I was so blessed to have grown up with their music!
I may have mentioned this but when I listen to her I get the exact feeling I do when listening to George Michael. She could sing the phone book to me. Her voice couldn't be mistaken for anyone else and she could sing what most others couldn't with the same outcome. She was a definite gift from above. I know she was a fabulous pair but I have a feeling she would have had a major career as a standalone artist for sure.
Hi Psyche! I LOVE listening to your beautiful proper accent. (Was just watching a funny video of a girl doing I don't know how many accents they have in the US, Canada, and the UK, and yours seems to be the proper English.) I follow some other British reactors and can pretty much listen to the accent all day. You're also fun to watch, quite animated, but, when you listen to the music, you listen to the music. It sometimes gets a bit embarrassing to see reactors overdo the enthusiasm, so I can't watch them after the initial exposure. I found you only tonight because, when I'm done with my bookmarked reactor videos for the night, I usually do a search, with the character string, "reaction carpenters." Your channel doesn't have the word "reaction" in it, which is why I didn't find it until tonight. Fortunately, you showed up in the suggested thumbnails at the right of the screen. Cheers! :)
Hi Christopher thanks for your lovely message, much appreciated. The word 'Reaction' is there but there are so many words before it 😁🙈. But glad you found it. Thank you for your support. Have a wonderful Sunday and great coming week. Psyche 🙋🏽♀️ 🌹
Well, you may feel like you're 'missing out,' but you look pretty happy & healthy to me - and I doubt if many men could resist that lovely smile for long!
People aren't as happy as you think they are. everyone has problems. people make their lives out to be much better than it is. if you're healthy, be happy. if you don't live in the Ukraine or you don't live in a slum, be happy. if you have running water. be happy.
Hello Psyche, Love the Carpenter, specially this song. I've notice your music seems to be limited in scope, branch out more. You have a good start so far. Try different Single and groups. Bee Gees, Marvin Gaye, Smokey Robinson, Patti LaBelle, Michael McDonald, Home Free, Billy Joel, Luther Vandross, Player Band, just to name a few. 🤠
Hello SM1 I hope today finds you well. Thank you so much for your comments much appreciated. It's actually not limited as there are many genres on there already not just one genre and many videos depicting that. I actually run my channel my way not pushed by marketing disguised as subs (been in the business 30 years) plus I don't get paid so I do it my way. I'll be bringing my own content back too which will not be reactions as its a lifestyle channel. If it's not what you like then I'm sorry to see you go but I'm happy with its output. Try running a channel, trust me it's a lot of work and not as easy as one thinks especially fighting copyright. People do not make much if anything from doing reactions as the revenue goes to the Artist thats why I do my own thing to determine where that revenue goes and to whom.! Plus not being in the US makes it harder though they have embraced me as their own. I love the US. Incidentally most people on that list are on my playlist but again 'copyright'. I don't do requests and I don't have a dedicated donations page, patron etc. Which is why most channels have to do that in order to suatain themselves as they need to live - as said reaction videos do not pay. Also I'm different. Take care now and have a fabulous week. Be Happy. And again thank you very much.
That Tony Peluso solo is pretty well known among us musicians and widely regarded as opening the way for the rock ballad guitar solo to be perfected by bands like Journey a few years years later.
This song is considered by most in the music business to be the first " power ballad ". They just didn't exist until this song. Great reaction!
Greetings.🤗 Karen Carpenter I consider her one of the most beautiful voices in the musical world. It was Unique.
Totally agree - up there with the very best.
Thank you for the music. RIP Karen and Tony 😢

What a great song, this is definitely one of my favorites from the Carpenters
what an emotive and beautiful guitar solo by Tony Peluso - so grateful Richard heard him, remembered him and invited him on board

It's never goodbye because "love will always find you". The romantic love went away but the love of God is all around us. Kudos my dear 💞 cheers 🥂

What a beautifully written comment. Thank you for such a lovely read. Have a wonderful Thursday/weekend. Psyche 🙋🏽♀️ 🌹
They started 'professionally' in 1969. Karen died Feb 1983. just sayin'
It's really one of the original power ballads

So good Ozzy did a version called goodbye to romance.
In a Carpenters song when it came out. Made the song an anthem, imo.
It's a heartbreaking song as it seems to echo Karen's life never really finding anyone and never have a family. Very sad.
This song sounds easy but the long phrase will make an unseasoned singer gasps for air, whoa!!!
Please do SING A SONG LIVE IN JAPAN by the Carpenters !
Tony Peluso plays the hell of a solo there.
Well, you may feel like you're 'missing out,' but you look pretty happy & healthy to me - and I doubt if many men could resist that lovely smile for long!

I love you

That guitar solo wasn't really thought through.
Is this sarcasm? This guitar solo by Tony Peluso is legendary. Richard was quite intentional about it.
and you know this how.......?
