That is absolutely one of the most beautifully stunning things I have ever seen! Kudos to the pilots who filmed this whole time lapse
Brilliant! Nice choice of music too.
Thank you so much! 👏👏👏💖
Wow!!! So so beautiful and impressive! Thank you so much for sharing with us!
Beautiful! It vídeo was make by pilots of TAP in the fly from San Francisco tô Lisbon - september 2023.
Stunning footage. I've always wanted to see the night sky from the cockpit. Lucky ass pilots
The only luck here is about the Aurora showing up for a show in the middle of a timelapse.
All the rest is hard work...
lol hell yeah it is. An old school friend became a commercial pilot. For me, just the night sky is amazing enough, but the aurora as well?! Good day at the office. @@BestAirplaneSeat
Thank you for sharing! I love your videos! So cool!!!
Thx
Wow amazing capture. Wish I could fly my drone this high!!
Beautiful!!!
Wow, João!!!😮

Meu Deus, Joao, que sensação maravilhosa ❤ Grata pela Partilha e Bem Haja
OMFG😱😱😱🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 ABSOLUTELY AMAZINGYOU GOTTA DO MORE OF THESE AND LONGER. I CONSUME HOURS UPON HOURS OF CONTENT AND THIS BY FAR IS THE MOST MIND BENDING THING MY EYES HAVE EVER SEEN. THANK YOU VERY MUCH🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Thanks. You can watch a bunch more on my channel but this is certanly one of the best ever...
Unfortunately the camera somehow stopped the timelapse and that's why it doesn't go until the end of the show...
Espetacular!!!!🌌😍
Meu Deus, que incrível. Imagino a sensação de o ver ao vivo. Parabéns!
Maravilhoso, que espetáculo❤❤❤
LOVE IT!
absolutely epic!!!
I didnt know this channel until my tv news showed it
Fantástico!
@BestAirplaneSeat am really enjoying your videos, well done! Would you mind sharing the rig/equipment+settings used? I would love to be able to take as good night timelapses as you... What I will never be able is to be on the cockpit like that, wow!
I managed to fix my Sony A6300 on the cockpit. The lenses I use are both from Samyang, either a 12mm F2.0 or a 8mm F2.8.
Then it depends on the conditions: moonlight or not, changing brightness while crossing big cities, etc...
Aperture is always set on the max open the lens can handle.
To keep a steady speed on the timelapse I choose a fix shutter speed.
Then ISO might be in Auto and will change as needed...
@BestAirplaneSeat do you mind if I ask which day and aprox. hour did you took the timelapse? If it's not asking too much
No problem!
It was on the night from Sept 16th to 17th and it started at around 02:30 UTC Time...
@@BestAirplaneSeat Thank you very much. Keep taking beautiful events like this one. :)
Hi, wondering what type of camera did you have for this ? Thx
It was on a Sony A6300... 😊
Words can't describe the feeling of flying, but this nightlapse really sums up part of it! Congrats, do you still use a Sony A6300 and Samyang 12mm f2.0, 6" exposure, iso auto?
Thanks!
Same camera and lens, variable exposure (Priority A) and ISO auto.
@@BestAirplaneSeat I use same settings, try to cap your ISO at 800 will get some good results!
Can someone please tell what camera was used?
Sony A6300
Amazing! Do you have stabilization ON or OFF while shooting this?
This is a timelapse created from photos not a video directly from the camera... 😉
With a 6 sec exposure time and almost 600mph there's no way you'll be able to avoid some movement...
You forgot the 7 sisters
What are you flying in?
Airbus A330-900 NEO
Do you know where you were when you took this?
See video description: "Aurora Borealis view on a Night Flight between San Francisco and Lisbon"
Overflying Canada...
When the Aurora starts, the big city lights on the left is Winnipeg in Canada...

Hello.
Yes it's my video and already replied by email... 👍
A estrela polar a deslocar-se para a esquerda por causa da inversão magnética...
Oi?
A estrela polar desloca-se para a esquerda porque o nosso planeta está em rotação...
You got great videos, a gimbal would be the only improvement.
I'm assumimg the camera is on the cockpit window.
Not a lot of room there to afix a gimbal as well
@@Mugdorna Nonsence. There’s a solution for every issue like that. I’m sure a dash cam gimbal exists.
When I do mine I have to stay ridged cause of wind.
He attaches his camera to the cockpit window. Might not be enough space for a gimbal
@@Mugdorna oh well.
Not sure a gimbal would make a difference as you've got to deal with about 6 sec of exposure time and even the lightest turbulence will affect the image...
