WOW! What an experience! Northern Lights show of about 3 hours on a TAP Air Portugal Flight from San Francisco (USA - SFO) to Lisbon (Portugal - LIS). As we were traveling East, total duration between Sunset and Sunrise was about 04H30. Northern Lights extensive show due to major solar activity on the beginning of May 2024. The ISS (International Space Station) is one of the first to be visible...

This view I could able to see in my Childhood 24 years back with naked eyes. Now due to air and light pollution , these majestic views have faint away .

Turbulence. It's a long exposure so any turbulence would show the stars as a trail and not as a single point in the sky...

@@roccitysoundllc3404 maybe you're talking about the Large Magellanic and Small Magellanic Clouds that are clearly seen on this timelapse... 😉
What's the light going back and forth at 45 seconds and I'm not talking about the planes. It's not moving like a planes at all and it does it about 3 times
At the 1 min mark it turns to sharp
It's another airplane going in about the same direction but through different routing... Rule of thumb: if it's moving and at the same level or below, it's an airplane. If it's moving and it's way above our level, than it's a satellite. As the exposure time is somewhere between 2 and 6 seconds, a meteor would appear on only 1 frame of the video...

Thanks. You can watch a bunch more on my channel but this is certanly one of the best ever... Unfortunately the camera somehow stopped the timelapse and that's why it doesn't go until the end of the show...
