I love sales like this. Church sales have the best prices.
I always check those big ugly flower arrangements to see what the flowers are in. I've scored two of my best finds that way...an old brush McCoy planter and an old Royal Haeger. Evidently the flowers that overwhelmed them kept the light out and they're in excellent condition for their ages.
Such fun but I saw Empoli and was yelling " get the Empoli"
Church rummage sales are the best. You both got some great pieces.

I was recently at a wonderful church rummage sale and wish I would have kept a closer eye on my box. I didn't realize until I paid for everything (they gave me a bundle price) and was wrapping it that someone had snatched my best piece, a McCoy vase. Lesson learned. You and Barb found some great deals. Thanks for taking us along.

Those were give-away prices!! Love it! Since there isn't anything in particular that I want, I avoid the antique malls and their higher prices. I can wait until something spectacular shows up at a low cost at Goodwill or the last day of an estate sale.

Yesterday, my hubby and I went to an antique mall that is split in two warehouses.
The glass prices were definitely up.
Not any affordable pixies or Santas, to be found, either.
But, I did find a beautiful, turquoise Van Briggle bud vase. The glaze is like butter.
I could hardly believe, it was marked $16.99 with a 15% booth wide discount! It was labeled as an "old bottle."
LOL
The eagle eyed cashier knew, what it was, before I got to the checkout.
She was totally blown away, as it's worth about $75.00.
She jokingly told my hubby to be careful driving and not to hit any bumps on the way home.

Hi Jeffrey & Barb! Church rummage sales are THE best! The goods are always so so so reasonable. Kinda like what thrift store prices USED to be. Looks like you both got some killer buys! Unfortunately, churches that do rummage sales don’t have them very often. So when we ever hear about them, we better get our fannies over to them lickety split! The Fenton Bell with the 40th Anniversary on it is still highly collectable for people that collect Fenton Bells or that color of Fenton glass or the name of artist that signed it. Should be a easy sell around $30 and shipping them is easy. Glad they got the Drink Catty.

I recently bought the purse rose dish with the butterfly. Barb got a great deal. It sold for $45. on Ebay.
It's been a long time since I have been to a good rummage sale. The best crockpot I have is vintage. I bought a newer one several years back, but it gets too hot. The one from my childhood sill works and is wonderful.
I really love the church sales. The vintage crockpots will never be seen the same since THIS IS US.
/amazing deals, you may never go back to the stores again! Oh only if that happened everyday right. I was with you guys saying go check your stuff to see if it is still there; you are lucky it didn't get picked over. Bring something you can push on wheels. I have my old lady walker with a good size basket for such a trip. Love seeing both of you again!

What a fun sale!
What a fun trip! When you were looking at the jewellery, I spotted a box with some puka shells. I'm having a hard time passing up any puka shell planter hanger. I just wanted to reach through the screen and dig through that box.

Why didn't you get the orange hand blown stretch vase with the wrap around bottom. That was definitely vintage because my grandmother and mom had them in the 70's. It was beautiful. You guys scored so much. LUCKY!! I wish we'd have sales like that here in California.

What an amazing rummage sale Jeffrey and Barb...congrats on all your treasures! I'm in Northern Illinois, and I've never seen anything even close to that. Most rummage sales I've been to here are filled with nothing but junk, and at much higher prices :(
