I have find out very soft leather will struggle to keep the embossing but technically you can Embose any leather, I now use an acrylic paint or leather paint/ stain and rub on my embosing folders it adds extra dimention and IF the deep embosing weaarsout the inked embossed shapes still remain and they look fav, have a try you may absolutelly love it .
I bought leather from HL and with Ellenʻs book die had the exact problem of the bigshot plus cutting instead of scoring. Experimented and the Vagabond did fine! Now I know abt the felt hack with the BS plus! Very informative and fun video!
Caroline, I use a 2-3 oz leather for mine. It depends on how floppy you want your cover to be. You can also back it with Craftex to give it support if you like it a little sturdier
@@carolinemaliaka4244 I would Suggest you join the Eileen Hull fan club on Facebook. There are lots of folks in there from the UK and would have a better idea than me as to where you could find the leather

Another question: what adhesive do you use with Kraftec material with leather? Thanks
I use a leather adhesive from Tandy Leather.
What leather should we use for a journal?
