Hasbro needs to bring this line back. The world (no longer just Japan) is now in a day and age of blind bag/boxed madness. It's the perfect time to resurrect this idea.
They are being brought back! Not by Hasbro though.

These guys and Z-Bots were 90's staples! Wish I still had some of gnarlier characters from this/
I bought one back in the 90s and i can remember that it produced more bubbles.
It was really cool to see these again. I had one of these (Muckoid) when I was a kid.
We cannot get a $8.99 figures with that much paint these days.
+Dorian McCloud No doubt!
Trust me, Dan, the reaction back then was really severe, the bag teared apart in crazy foam! Still quite cool though :)
I think I remember the bag swelling big time until it kind of bursted into a foamy mess.
It's a shame that these awesome things have a shelf life like they do, but in order to make them non-toxic it's what they had to do!
Damn - I miss my collection.. :/ Where did they go? Just like my childhood - puff - and its gone...
I had a few figures from the line when I was a kid and the reaction was much stronger back then.
I had one of these when I was younger. I was five years old at the time and didn't do it right. I just broke open the bag and pulled the figure out of the dry powder. So Pixel Dan, thank you for showing off what I missed back when these were new.
Ahh a favorite line of mine from the old days. I remember the bags fizzing a lot faster but my memory could be off. Great vid as usual.
All these years later and I still have grime stopper
The paint is really cleanly done. IRONY!!!
loooved these as a kid, would love to get hold of these. i kept thinking 'no, you cant open them!' ha ha
Back in the day they dissolved like you own little Bubbly Creek. I think you should have used more water so it could be full submerged. One time I got two figures until today I though it was a random mistake 1/24 is still pretty good though. My mom hated these figures I was only allowed to do dissolving in the bathroom sink. Her hatred for the figures only made me loved them even more. I was collecting these with my best friend in kindergarten. Sadly they are lost. This was such a nice trip back memory lane. Thank you!
I remember the excitement when I got one of these for birthday. Everybody staring curiously into the sink and waiting what would come out of water! :-)
Such a fun idea. The toys themselves are very cool but the bag gimmick just makes it more exciting for whatever reason.
Certainly remember these things from when I was a kid.
Speaking of which, this thing screams early 90's "tude" to the max.
We've got bright neon colors, attitude and big time boy factor going on...so cool!
I can't exactly remember what these dissolved like, as I was only like 7-8 years old...but that label and concept has always stuck with me.
Though I will give those Star Wars bags props...those were a ton cooler to open, just a shame that the stuff inside wasn't as cool!
Oh i loved this ones when i was a kid and i still got most of the line with me. Now in 2018 it leaves me in awe how good looking and detailed they are for they size.
I love that these two have more paint apps than the new TMNT line. =P
I loved these as a kid, couldn't remember the name
Oh man I had slobber!! I loved the dissolving bag concept!!
I always got these as stocking stuffers back in the day...
That was my first toy too in the bag! What a trip.
you should do more of these! they're pretty awesome minifigs. I'm gunna pick some up myself÷
+SevenWilly I may have to pick some more up sometime!
They took a few minutes to fully dissolve unless you stirred them. I had some within the first few weeks of release, and was the first time I encountered commercials advertising things before they released. Annoyed the guy at Kaybees coming in every other day till they got them.
+RiderBattle Haha! That's awesome!
Loved these guys had quite a few.
These things remind me of Mattel's GUTS! figures
They would make great tabletop RPG miniatures!
Omg I had the incinerator ! Nostalgia overload
Wow the detail is really nice
I had 4 of the “Trashors”. I wonder if I could find them now. I still have a box of my old toys.
This reminded me of the marvel zizzlingers that came out in the 2000's! Anyways been loving these Halloween videos. Keep up the great work!
MAN, these look great! I kinda forgot, 'cause the ones I have left are really beat up. They had been outside, in the dirt, in the tub, etc. They looked fantastic, when they were brand new! Like you said: Really great paint apps.
The "trash water" afterward is neat, but I still gotta say: The way those Episode One bags worked was really cool, and I think Trash Bag Bunch would have been even better with some slime bags as well (maybe as deluxes or something).
I have a few of these guys, but they all came from yard sales. It was cool to see them dissolve. Have you ever seen the DC Squats from a few years ago?
Great review, very fun and you sound very fond of these toys
i had these. TRASHBLASTER was my favourite.
I have a bunch of these
I remember these! I've been trying to remember what they were called for years :)
used to love getting these!
Water not deep enough!
Remember these and loved them.
Anyone got any ideas how to make the bags your self?
The reaction was way more back then.
That was the first figure I owned I wish they still continued this
I used to get these but think I had some knock off versions that where all one colour kinda looked like monster in my pocket
i had both those dudes...they killed so many green army men you don't even know!!...anybody remember "mondo blitzers"?
Dose any one know how much these sold for retail when they came out
i had the first one you pulled out
Those are really cool, even if the line thinks a guy with red eyes and a neck beard is a hero.
+LiamTheGreat Ha!
how do you obtain thath?
sorry for my english :(
No kidding I had a Sgt Wastenot to
I had one figurine whereas my friend had practically all of them😢
Hi pixel dan love your videose plz respond :-)
+Freddy Paterson Thanks!!
I wish u did a slime vid :(
I have the red gargoyle
Hey
i used to have the same thing but it was marvel
Just a single one of these figures has more paint than a Playmates TMNT figure. :/
+Hoss Than most cheaper figures these days. Times have a-changed. :-/
