I am beyond myself with this car. I used to be absolutely crazy about the c7 z06, but this car has totally turned me around. I know it's not as fast, but it has it beat in every other category aside from hp. I am completely sold on this car in every way. A true dream car. An Instant classic.
Drew Lager i dont think the design is better its very subjective. Its beautiful but to many its a bit much. my corvette has a design thats awesome. But the Lexus looks elegant. Interior wise the lexus is better i mean it is a luxury car. All other areas. I give to the Corvette.
I'm not sure if you've seen it, but Artisan Spirits makes a body kit for the LC 500 that brings out it's tamed aggression and it looks killer. Type in "LC 500 Sema" and you'll find it. Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge Z06 fan and always will be. It's just that the Z06 was designed with it's main focus as a track star and I have no intentions on tracking my car. I was always trying to convince myself that it made sense to my lifestyle. The LC just has it all. Killer looks, elegance, technology and practicality. It's a pure win in my eyes. Just my opinion.
Servant of JESUS CHRIST You said it best..its subjective! Personally I think the Corvette lost its design ques that set it apart from others. I don't think it's ugly by any means it just seems like GM didn't try as hard as they used to. On the other hand I wouldn't be to inclined to compare the Lexus and Vette. The Lexus is certainly more of a tourer and they do an incredibly good job with refinement and quality and you really get every bit of what you pay for and then some with Lexus. I haven't driven the LC or C7 so I'm only speculating. But spending anytime in Lexus vehicles sways a lot of people's preconceived notions once they feel a Lexus. Of course opinion on appearance matters too!
one you're in side this car, all the impression of "not fast" will go away. It's almost like when everyone say the STI is fast, and then you get inside and its not really. However, this LC, it is very quick.
@ciga daze I actually just look up the sales my first comment was an assumption. However, it seems like i was right. Only the first three months of sale back in 2017 saw 400+ units a month. Ever since then sales fell 48 percent per month. Now i have no idea if its actually limited, if its has been, im sure its because of the low demand. Yet, i cant wait to get out of college and buy one myself.
Yep, my '99 GS400 will be 20 years old next year (build date 10/98). 227,000 miles and runs like new. I also own a '02 SC430. Saw this car in person the other day and the detail is amazing, something tells me it will be reliable as well.
Best car of 2017. I can't imagine how the high performance F version rumored 600hp will be. Waiting to see the review of the new twin turbo 415hp LS500.
Toyota4Life Twin Turbo? Don't think so. Now, if they put a base variant of the LFA's V10 in there and reworked it to become less expensive, I'd be all for it.
I don't know about that , very expensive car and they concentrate so much on 4WD market now. These coupes don't sell as well as people would like to think unfortunately.
if theres gonna be one, its gonna be am LCF not lc500 F, and the lc500 already has the 5 liter V8 with 500 hp, and theres alteady an RCF wich is the only F they offer right now, there is not gonna be an LCF. just a version 2 wich makes sense
I have driven the LC500 for over 6,000 miles in two weeks. There are settings for the trackpad that make the Infotainment system much better. Slow down the cursor, set it to the lowest setting, and turn off the Hapatics (the motion feedback). When you make these changes the Infotainment system works well. Another point is the LC500 has a very extensive Voice Command System. You can tune the radio, and adjust almost everything via voice control.
Dodge Hemi No, it is superior in that regard... and the price is reflective of that. However I would not say "...all German cars." That's simply not true.
Yuan wrong. Please get out from beneath the rock you've been hiding under. Lexus compares this to the AMG GT. The LC500 is great, but the AMG GT beats the LC500 in anything significant including interior quality.
Lexus isn´t comparing it to the AMG GT... why should they? It has completely different figures and the Lexus is made for luxury while the AMG GT is made to break your back.... The AMG GT also has a completely different price tag
Once you start using the voice commands, the infotainement system because much less of an issue. Voice command works extremely well and covers all of the basics.
100 percent agree in terms of seeing her in reality compared to vids had the pleasure of being allowed to get some shots of 1 not long ago jaw droppingly beautiful
I don't like Lexus and I don't like Toyota for several reasons but this.. credit where it's due, they did a fantastic job on this, I was surprised to find the first Toyota product I liked in about 30 years; it was weird to say there's a Lexus that I'd actually buy with my own money
The Spotted Car From a guy with a Volvo in their profile, I can say the same about them and how they haven't made something I have like in 8 years or so... and Volvo's dealer network is compromised of greedy oligopolists with terrible service quality. There are plenty of Toyota products I'd be proud to own on the contrary... no matter the model year.
The radio isn't a problem at all. Learn the system first. Set up your "PRESETS" and all your audio devices. Then, using the steering wheel buttons or voice command you can do anything you want with the radio with using the touchpad. This car has been very well engineered and the engineers did not overlook much of anything. It's all there. You just have to learn it first.
The dynamic package with deployable rear spoiler , rear steering and carbon fibre roof is the ultimate . I own a 2022 black caviar with black interior . The 5.0 L engine has ported and direct injection so no oil o the intake valves
I own one of these. I agree with his assessment of the infotainment system, its a pain to work with. The key to it though is to set your voice command system and then you won't have to use the track pad. That's not covered in any review of the car I've seen.
i don't pick up my LC until September here in the UK, i have done a bit of research and i am surprised that after having the car 3 days you haven't tried or used the voice control, you may then not even have to touch the touch pad at all, i also believe the heated and cooled seats are linked to the AC system so automatically go on and off, ( i may be wrong about this ). but a great review.
It probably does , even the RC coupe has auto seat heaters linked to climate control. At least mine does. Just be really careful where you park this LC though as it is huge. Alot bigger than i imagined. It would be so easy for some idiot to come along and smash their car door into it in a parking lot. This is the reason i would never even spend 100k on a car as i would be too paranoid of it getting damaged. Even my RC coupe i send to the panel beaters if it gets any scratches. I know that is OCD but i would far worse with an LC.
It's a beautiful car , there was a hybrid version in the dealership when i picked up my new Lexus Coupe. Gorgeous in black but i'll stick to the RC which is more realistic to use as a daily driver. This one i would be afraid to park anywhere even if i was looking to spend that much on a car.
Kinda funny that you backed out of a parking spot in a completely empty parking lot. Great video and review. Wish I could afford one. I think it's really weird that an LSD wasn't a standard offering.
God I hope these sell, I'd love to buy one used down the line, I imagine they will hold value pretty well so we need quantity out there to help bring down the cost.
When they deliver the car PART OF THE DELIVERY talks about LEXUS CHALLENGE. SO NO "LC" DOES NOT STAND FOR LUXURY OR LARGE COUPE! It stands for THE LEXUS CHALLENGE that Akio Toyoda set forth to make the car!
It's funny- my favorite part, design wise, is the pointy area of the rear end. My leas favorite aspect is the fake floating roof. Without C-pillars, the profile is off to me. Overall I love the coke-bottle shape. Bet it's impressive in person.
yeah, it's not visually pleasing. for what it's worth, i think it's because the door panel doesn't extend as far enough into the cabin to match the dash. i don't think it's a fit and finish flaw, still annoying though, especially because the rest of the interior is so nice.
I really can't unsee it now look at the interior this is over $100,000 car and that panel cap is ridiculous where the door meets the dash does a silver strip that goes along the top of the door and then finishes on the dash but they don't really line up at all it's off by about a half an inch or so
The reason why the LC500 is jerky at low speeds is because of the gear ratio setup of its 10-speed automatic gearbox. The first three gears are pretty far from each other, with the third gear being able to reach over 80mph, which is common for a 6-speed automatic gearbox and creates a more exhilarating acceleration experience. The high gears of this car is mostly for fuel economy at high-speed cruising. Please, just do your homework before you do a car review.
Well if there is any gap in performance, which I disagree, their bullet proof reliability more than makes up for it million times. I don't only drive a car. I own it. So I care more about the whole ownership experience.
Plot Dot because japanese car brands never thought of sticking a v8 engine in an inline 4 sized car and make a simple part change a whole freaking adventure😂 at least the labor and parts of toyota and lexus are cheap .. and this lexus sure will stun you if u test drove it
Plot Dot So you think Lexus can only rely on Asians in the US to outsell the Germans? Don't asians only account for less than 5% of population? So they all own a lexus then. Hilarious.
A RELIABLE luxury performance car that sounds amazing, is comfortable af, classy, and looks great? Sign me up.
It's also not roomy. Tall drivers will hit the ceiling and the trunk is small.
But the RCF is exactly for those drivers needing that.
Bob Outélama thats the point of coupé's! They are ment for average men!
Mine is incredible but the brakes just won’t stop squeaking always
@ciga daze Hello Ciga. It's sad that a general comment resulted in a personal attack.
I am beyond myself with this car. I used to be absolutely crazy about the c7 z06, but this car has totally turned me around. I know it's not as fast, but it has it beat in every other category aside from hp. I am completely sold on this car in every way. A true dream car. An Instant classic.

Drew Lager agree completely

I love the entire design front to back. It's hard not to keep looking at this thing
I saw it in the showroom and I literally could not stop looking at it. Lexus created a dream car
Definitely gonna go down as a future classic
It hasn't even sold enough yet. It ain't even selling a lot to do so.
@ciga daze I actually just look up the sales my first comment was an assumption. However, it seems like i was right. Only the first three months of sale back in 2017 saw 400+ units a month. @ciga daze they most likely don't receive LC's to not risk any costs and would rather have customers order them
A future legend! Such a special car by lexus!
Lexus has nice sounding cars. First the LFA, now this.
Also the rcf
Joshua Ramirez even the RCF GSF and ISF sound great. Even the V6 cars make a nice sound
Lfa still sounds best though
Also the GSF
Hey sweetie
2:38... Backs out from the middle of an empty parking lot just not to cross the lines. Give this guy a nobel!
Exactly what I thought, lol. He even used the turn indicator. (sorry if it's not the right word for it)
Lukáš Ledecký
But, indicator is more noble#ly appropriate than signal in this case.
Lukáš Ledecký i guess he's going by the rules since he's recording
V ST ikr I would've done some donuts n hauled outta there
habit is a habit and I believe he have a good one.agreed, give this guy a nobel.
future proof design 🙏
Xenon Games nope
yep
more of a retro design
yea like the sc400. Electronics will all be playing up in 20 years... nothings future proof
MrCarGuy20 dude. The new LS500 has a twin turbo 6 that makes 415hp.
That's the hybrid variant, the LC500h. It's not the "NEW" LC500.
Knowing Lexus. LC-F is right around the corner.
tigerbiterhater it's rumored for 2019. supposedly going to have over 600 hp
I don't know about that , very expensive car and they concentrate so much on 4WD market now. These coupes don't sell as well as people would like to think unfortunately.
DEVILTAZ35 the lc500 f will be like 150k
if theres gonna be one, its gonna be am LCF not lc500 F, and the lc500 already has the 5 liter V8 with 500 hp, and theres alteady an RCF wich is the only F they offer right now, there is not gonna be an LCF. just a version 2 wich makes sense
Wow! That car looks good! My jaw dropped when I heard the exhaust note!
This guy is excellent! Let's get him more subs!
Wow! A high end car owner who actually indicates his turns! Good on you.
You get an active wing on performance version of this car. Such an epic machine, love it.
I have driven the LC500 for over 6,000 miles in two weeks. There are settings for the trackpad that make the Infotainment system much better. +Dan Keaton Good stuff! I'll give this a shot next time around.
After driving the RCF quite a bit, I am a Lexus fanboy. I love the LC500 even more though. Can't wait for the LCF.
This was a superb review man
LC has a feel of a material higher than all German cars.
Go sit in C63 S Edition 1 Coupe. You may feel wiser after.
MAGA
Dodge Hemi No, it is superior in that regard... and the price is reflective of that. However I would not say "...all German cars." That's simply not true.
What German car is better inside??? NONE ATM
Yuan wrong. Please get out from beneath the rock you've been hiding under. Lexus compares this to the AMG GT. The LC500 is great, but the AMG GT beats the LC500 in anything significant including interior quality.

first time I saw this car I thought it's a concept car , looking at the front end with both rear and front wide fenders it looks so perfect .
Definitely has a road presence. Looks like a concept
Once you start using the voice commands, the infotainement system because much less of an issue. Voice command works extremely well and covers all of the basics.
The new SC/Soarer
One of the best sounding v8s I ever heard
100 percent agree in terms of seeing her in reality compared to vids had the pleasure of being allowed to get some shots of 1 not long ago jaw droppingly beautiful
Man I love your videos. The camera angle is perfect and your voice is super relaxing lol. Great work
This car is absolutely gorgeous!
love this car 😍😍
I don't like Lexus and I don't like Toyota for several reasons but this.. credit where it's due, they did a fantastic job on this, I was surprised to find the first Toyota product I liked in about 30 years; it was weird to say there's a Lexus that I'd actually buy with my own money

The Spotted Car this car looks and sounds better then everything Volvo sells.
At least you gave them credit
Toyota Innova, best car
and I dont like volvo products for several reasons.
This Lexus is better then any volvo product by far
0:12 Wow! I wish every Lexus looked as good as this beauty.
Looking good for the coming Supra!
I love this car!!

better than 6 series
Way better, in every single way
chicago2370 no question it's better then the 6 series.
Oh... You mean the car it was never meant to compete with in the first place? Yeah. WAY better. Wait for the 8 series.
It's not a 6 series competitor. It's an Aston Martin competitor. 6 series is for kids in their 40s.
The 8 series is just a rebadged overpriced 6 series kid. LC500 was designed to compete with the 6 then BMW decides to axe the 6 and make an 8
Lexus baby
never been a lexus fan but wow this is beautiful
The dynamic package with deployable rear spoiler , rear steering and carbon fibre roof is the ultimate . I own a 2022 black caviar with black interior . The 5.0 L engine has ported and direct injection so no oil o the intake valves
This was a very good review very quiet and informative
This car is sick. Looks great and sounds amazing.
Awesome car!
I own one of these. I agree with his assessment of the infotainment system, its a pain to work with. The key to it though is to set your voice command system and then you won't have to use the track pad. That's not covered in any review of the car I've seen.
Throwing it into that exit at 60mph was amazing
i don't pick up my LC until September here in the UK, i have done a bit of research and i am surprised that after having the car 3 days you haven't tried or used the voice control, you may then not even have to touch the touch pad at all, i also believe the heated and cooled seats are linked to the AC system so automatically go on and off, ( i may be wrong about this ). but a great review.

Sounds amazing for a stock exhaust
I have never seen a parking lot so perfect like that in Michigan.
how i love that Rev limiter of Lexus
cutoff tatatata 2:30
Its absolutely beautiful.
i prefer the brown interior :) nice video
It's a beautiful car , there was a hybrid version in the dealership when i picked up my new Lexus Coupe. Gorgeous in black but i'll stick to the RC which is more realistic to use as a daily driver. This one i would be afraid to park anywhere even if i was looking to spend that much on a car.
I think the back end looks nice, I don't really understand your dislike of it. My beef is with the front grille, I think it looks awful!
Kinda funny that you backed out of a parking spot in a completely empty parking lot.
Great video and review. Wish I could afford one.
I think it's really weird that an LSD wasn't a standard offering.
Wow this will be in my dream cars list 😍
Thank you for the nice Video of one of my dreamcars.
Amazing car Lexus for life
I want this car so freaking badly
God I hope these sell, I'd love to buy one used down the line, I imagine they will hold value pretty well so we need quantity out there to help bring down the cost.
When they deliver the car PART OF THE DELIVERY talks about LEXUS CHALLENGE. SO NO "LC" DOES NOT STAND FOR LUXURY OR LARGE COUPE! It stands for THE LEXUS CHALLENGE that Akio Toyoda set forth to make the car!
From a angle it looks like it's older brother, the LFA. Nevertheless awesome csr and a big fan of Lexus
Very good review.
I truly hope Lexus comes out with a light weight version of this car...3500lbs.... It is stunning to see in person.
5 Gear and you’re going 90?! Geez maybe 10 speeds might be too much. I hope with all the gearing it doesn’t lose its pull
It's funny- my favorite part, design wise, is the pointy area of the rear end. My leas favorite aspect is the fake floating roof. Without C-pillars, the profile is off to me. Overall I love the coke-bottle shape. Bet it's impressive in person.
American highways look like you guys drive in slow motion compared to our Autobahn.
gotta get it in the atomic silver and with the 21 inch rims
The spoiler comes out of the trunk. In respect with your comment of it not "visually" having a spoiler on the truck
The satin metal line that goes from the door panel onto the dashboard doesn't align properly. It's killing me.
yeah, it's not visually pleasing. for what it's worth, i think it's because the door panel doesn't extend as far enough into the cabin to match the dash. i don't think it's a fit and finish flaw, still annoying though, especially because the rest of the interior is so nice.
Pre-production sample, suckers.
Man, this Beyerdaynamic guy is on EVERY car videos.
derbigpr500 now that I noticed it, I can't unsee it
Yes my OCD is going berserk
No FAKE exhaust note maker here...😙
Lexus making better sounding cars then AMG and M cars LOL
How did you get this to drive for multiple days? Is it a promo car, it just confuses me that they let people put quite a few miles on it
amazing looking car,love it
Maybe this is just me but I sincerely hope that automatic transmissions don't get more than 10 speeds.
Kinda weird delay when shift between 4th and 5th gear at 5:24 does happen often
That down shift sounds sexy...
It's your "adorable" daily driving Aston Martin.
I want this CARR! Question how did you mount you Sony x3000?
stunning the car is the best & u the best
I just watched you drive by my house. Interesting
Decent video.
The only probelm i have with the LC500 is the gearing, it has 10 speeds but its geared like a 6 speed whats the point of having the 10 speed.
This car is just perfect.. my god... god bless the Japanese.
Nice but it doesn’t have the active rear wing or the nicer 21” black and chrome wheels
biggest contender of mercedes SLR
THANK YOU!
You filmed this here in Livonia? That looks like laural park place mall
Lexus is my favourite :)
I remember seeing that car at M1!! I had a pic of it but I deleted it :(
Beautiful
I really can't unsee it now look at the interior this is over $100,000 car and that panel cap is ridiculous where the door meets the dash does a silver strip that goes along the top of the door and then finishes on the dash but they don't really line up at all it's off by about a half an inch or so
I'm waiting to trade in my RCF, I know there going to come out with a LC 500 F
Why is he driving on the right lane and not on the left? when he is going fast
One day I'll have one...one day
The reason why the LC500 is jerky at low speeds is because of the gear ratio setup of its 10-speed automatic gearbox.
How did you get this car to drive and review?
Can you try do a first PoV of the tesla model x?
Please omg
Lol let's not skip the part where he backs out of an empty parking lot hahahaha
Man i love this car
Sadly we cant purchase it in germany (yet?)
This car's rear is what the Prius' rear should have been like
Omg that exhaust
Lexus is Lexus for a reason. Every time they turn up with a new model, it puts the Germans in shame.
Well if there is any gap in performance, which I disagree, their bullet proof reliability more than makes up for it million times. I don't only drive a car. I own it. So I care more about the whole ownership experience.
Well, in the US Lexus outsells the Germans every single year. I didn't know the US was in Asia. Hilarious.
Plot Dot because japanese car brands never thought of sticking a v8 engine in an inline 4 sized car and make a simple part change a whole freaking adventure😂 at least the labor and parts of toyota and lexus are cheap .. and this lexus sure will stun you if u test drove it

I just wanna know why you reversed out of that parking spot in the beginning of the video, you could of just pulled forward. lmao
Are you in Michigan ?
Is this one of the Winding Road guys? O_o
CHRISGT34 yes!
I saw one of Chris Amos's personal comments on one of his other videos confirming it, so you would be correct. Thanks for the reply.
