Thanks for the latching foot plans. I've seen 3D printer plans for L-Boxx latches, these simpler ones can be mass produced for a workshop fit out. I am stuck with Bosch's basic L-Boxxes because Sortimo charge exploitive prices here in Australia.
Hi , have you seen that the makers of L-Boxx ( sortimo) do a plastic divider which allows you to create 2 levels in the larger L-boxx so you can store w sets of tools I one box . Product code H 63G
I know this is an old video, but shame on bosch. They had this system out all this time and barely promoted it, now ridgid, dewalt, and milwaukee have modular box systems that have taken over the game.

I like your L-Boxx drawer system with locking . What are the dimensions of the closet you made ? ( with/depht ) I see you are not using any metal sliiding ( fully extendable kitchen slides ) rails but just some wood where the shelf is sliding in .
Hi Rich, thank you for the great review, very informative. Is there a reason you left out the L- boxx 3D? It has the L-2 molded to a two spot L-rack. I purchased various L-boxes recently and plan on using FastCaps Kazan foam as the foam insert since it's so easy to conform to any shape tool. Thanks again and keep the videos coming.
Only because I did not have a L-Boxx-3D. I also left out a few other things including they have a lid/handle for the L-Rack too. There is so many options its a little overwhelming for most when you first look at it. But you are correct, the 3D is a great option and something most people could use. Great choice on the Kaizen foam as its a much better choice than the cube foam you can purchase.
Great video, but why you covered only one side of the medal - old Festool/Tanos boxes. What about stacking T-Locks? This system way more easy, fast and convenient then Sortimo/Bosch. You can't open middle L-BOXX without removing upper boxes, and you got to use two hands to operate those side locks. It looks like Bosch/Sortimo is a better system, but it ain't true.
The new Bosch/Sortimo LB4 L-Boxx has a lid design that means you can open a box mid-stack. Unlike the Festool boxes, the old Bosch L-Boxxes and the new LB4's are completely cross compatible.

I love these boxes just hate the color... Lol I know its stupid but the color keeps me from buying things its why I have no Dewalts or Bosch tools
