After years of thinking about it, I finally pulled the trigger and ordered a bunch of L-Boxxes. Great review as always. I love your passion for the work you do and you desire to educate your viewers rather than just bragging about yourself like I see a lot of RUclipsrs do.
I've changed all my tools to Bosch. The Bosch warrenty is second to none, any problems and they will send a courier to your job or home to pick up the tool and drop it off when it's done. The 36v sds I couldn't do without.
Gary,
Your concerns are real. You have to consider what your time costs vs. buying a system. Plus it is a very professional look and that leads credence to how folks perceive you and your business. IAs far as taking the time to put the tools away I too was hesitent until I started doing it. It takes no effort or thought - they drop in place. I like the system for alot of reasons but I wish the foam was standard in every box.
Jeff - they are now on Amazon and you can get the free shipping. Best price I've seen to date.
This was a great review that was organized, well planned and briefly executed. Unlike the "Tool Fool's," that I watched review tool boxes a few minutes ago. Rob, I agree that taking the few seconds to completely organize both reduces your time(read increase profit) and leads to a more professional image of organization.
Thanks for a very helpful review.
Jeffrey - thanks for taking the time to comment
Thanks for the feedback Vincent
I like your trailer, I've always used panel vans myself , the label printer is great idea too, although I have the shelves labelled instead which decline 30 degrees and when I'm loading them back into the van I can quickly see what's missing, but your set ups good too👍
I was torn between this system & a similar from Fess tool. After this thorough review I've made up my mind! Rob, thanks for the great review!
Great review Rob. If you need to take your tools on the go, these boxes look great. I am really glad you showed how the foam inserts worked. I was wondering about that.
Thanks for the review, I got about 5 of the cases and I'm happy with them, I also brought a new festool t55r with a systainer. I do think the bosch sortimo is better as they are larger and more handles. I do give my cases a good beating in the van and at work, they stand up to a lot off abuse. I did feel when I brought them the front locking clips were a little flimsy but once locked solid as a rock. Stacking theses can be a pain in the ass, as aligning up can be difficult.
I've got some Makita Makpacs, which I like and are rather cheap, but this Bosch system is better and more practical with the snap on stacking. Also have this same Bosch caddy and it's really nice and way more affordable than the Makita that is prohibitively expensive)
This system does make sense, one of my concerns is just the cost of the system; when I can make a system from scrap plywood (yes not as clean) and buy the foam for hardly anything. the other is how many contractors do you really know that at the end of the day is going to take the time to carefully put tools in the designated foam places...
The Bosch Lboxx is compatible with the Sortimo boxes and the Sortimo Car system
You're welcome. I like the Tough system too but the Bosch boxes are more uniform sizes and way more conducive to being a customized "specific tool" tool box. the Tough System boxes are too similar to "old School" tool boxes that hold multiple misc tools.
Does Makita have transport boxes??????
Good video, thanks for posting. So the bottom box doesn't click into the trolly? ...you just have to bungee it to the trolly?
Thanks.
Correct
actually the base of the trolley has two red receivers that click in to the bottom box
I want to purchase the XL Cart but I'm afraid it won't click into the boxes to hold them sturdy I have issues with uneven terrain and my boxes fall over each and every day I need to know if the dolly actually clicks into the boxes themselves?
Updated L-Boxx video - let me know what you think?
I like but to get to the tool at the bottom, I have to vet boxes off first. It would be nice to open from the front.
Are you still using this system. An update would be great.
Still using a bunch of it - only pet peace is when the boxes are on they’re sides on a shelf they sometimes lock together. Pain removing them
Olá robert, estou aprendendo muito com seus videos.

I agree that the Tough System is the most rugged but the sizes are not as good. [not as spacious or uniform.]
Tough system is larger then l box system.
I added foam to my large tough box and have a great setup using it.
Legal muito bom mesmo este tipo de explicação,tank you Brasil!!!

Does anyone know where to purchase the plastic inserts for the L-boxx?
I like this so my tools that came in a bag i can have a nice case for.
Hey I was just curious as to how well this will work ratches and wrenches and so forth for hand tools for the molding? because im looking for something like this that is portable but i dont want my tools stuck so far down in the foam
I think it would work really well if you would lined it with foam or something on the bottom and maybe on the lid
I use tool bags to transport my socket sets and wrenches I just find it easy to throw them all in the back, but it's not easy to find stuff
ok cool thanks wasnt sure how well it would work with them because the foam was pretty thick, thanks for the reply!
+Renike Get the thin foam
+Renike Here is the best foam option available. It is kaizen foam from fastcap.www.fastcap.com/estore/pc/Kaizen-Foam-p13435.htm
+Renike Also, you can get the kaizen foam pre cut inserts here. www.ebay.com/itm/L-Boxx-Kaizen-Foam-insert-For-Bosch-Lboxx-/261754249150?var=&hash=item3cf1c4dfbe:m:meOyfbtSRyQWN6BhsaU4xGg
Thnx.
the tough box is as it says tough, i have hte medium case so far which i store my cordless makita kit in. i would buy the bosch l-boxx however i cant get them locally,, ordering online jacks the price up substantially do to shipping
makita boxes fit festool.
Connection between two containers looks very weak and unstable. It moves front and back. I bet it is the weakest point in this system. Makita containers are the best. It has 4 connection points from each corner. Plus you can stack Festool systainers together with Makita MakPac's. Also Makita has trolley too (makita tr00000001 and P-83886). Only good part in Bosh containers are side handle. It makes handling much easier.
Nemo D123 all my tools are Bosch and I've never had any issues whatsoever with the L box. I keep em stacked up in the van all the time and no problemss at all.
Thanks for the review but i think Festool systainer are better :-)

They aren't. I've used Festool for years and these are much better. Much quicker and easier to use than Festools. And I'm a hardcore Festool fan.
no
