The World Health Organization, and their extensive data of all countries in the world show conclusively that the United States had the absolute highest number of Covid deaths in the entire world, worse than all poor countries and worse than all rich countries, with no other country even coming close, and they don't say this but those of us who pay attention know that the reason the US had the worst record on Covid deaths is due to a huge proportion of the US population absolutely refusing to follow even the most basic Covid safety guidelines and even attacking, sometimes physically, those who urged safety compliance. Those are the facts about the pandemic, not owned by the Left, as Cuomo says, but given without partisanship by the World Health Organization.

What an excellent conversation with Medhi. As a long time fan of Chris Cuomo, I have to say that Medhi was right about everything. Not because I agree with him, but because he speaks truths. I'm super tired of "opinions" on the economy. If we all agree to the standards that the economy has been measured with for decades, then then you can't say the economy was better under Trump. And the Republicans know this so they have shifted to this talking point of "well it FEELS like the economy is worse now." Not only is this a giant hypocrisy coming from the "facts don't care about your feelings" crowd, it's also useless from a practical stance. If your boss gives you a raise and you say that you don't feel like you have more money, it doesn't change the fact that you ARE receiving more money. We're at a point in this country where Republicans will make up whatever BS they can rather than just admitting that things are good(generally speaking) right now. I am baffled by Chris's response. What happened to him?
Even if Trump himself just coasts from media war to media war as Cuomo thinks, his ultra conservative backers are clearly pushing their agenda extremely hard. It's an extreme ethnocentric conservative policy and they have been outnumbered and pushed into a corner and are desperate enough to prop Trump up as dictator, and Trump would happily go along with that.
I think he is just in a bubble, like when Hitler was starting, he was also disregarded as a joke
Chris is playing devil's advocate. He criticizes trump quite a bit. I agree that he isn't taking the trump threat and the maga takeover of American institutions as seriously as he should. People like him who do criticize trump will be the first to be in trump and his thugs' crosshairs (quite literally), and with the recent scotus immunity ruling, there won't be a damn thing anyone could do about it. Scary.

As a person that thinks Chris means well, since his firing from CNN, Chris has this overwhelming need to be liked and approved of by everyone. As someone who watched Chris for years, he is trying so hard to claim impartiality, and both sides everything (as seen on PBD podcast), it's dangerous and actually makes him lose even more credibility. Stop worrying about who will hate you, and get back to calling balls and strikes based on facts.

The World Health Organization, and their extensive data of all countries in the world show conclusively that the United States had the absolute highest number of Covid deaths in the entire world, worse than all poor countries and worse than all rich countries, with no other country even coming close, and they don't say this but those of us who pay attention know that the reason the US had the worst record on Covid deaths is due to a huge proportion of the US population absolutely refusing to follow even the most basic Covid safety guidelines and even attacking, sometimes physically, those who urged safety compliance. Those are the facts about the pandemic, not owned by the Left, as Cuomo says, but given without partisanship by the World Health Organization.

What an excellent conversation with Medhi. As a long time fan of Chris Cuomo, I have to say that Medhi was right about everything. Not because I agree with him, but because he speaks truths. I'm super tired of "opinions" on the economy. If we all agree to the standards that the economy has been measured with for decades, then then you can't say the economy was better under Trump. And the Republicans know this so they have shifted to this talking point of "well it FEELS like the economy is worse now." Not only is this a giant hypocrisy coming from the "facts don't care about your feelings" crowd, it's also useless from a practical stance.
If your boss gives you a raise and you say that you don't feel like you have more money, it doesn't change the fact that you ARE receiving more money.
We're at a point in this country where Republicans will make up whatever BS they can rather than just admitting that things are good(generally speaking) right now.
I don't believe the two party system works. I vote based on what policies are best for the country. And right now, the Dems are actually doing things. The Repubs are not.
