I'm doing a big Europe tour. Tickets here: www.reubensolo...
Full AGT performance here: • Reuben Solo Audition |...
Or if that gets taken down it's here as well: • Reuben Solo Fake Golde...
I did an audition on America's Got Talent and the crowd booed me. Then I pressed the golden buzzer. Simon Cowell wasn't super impressed about the whole thing and neither was the audience. My life is crazy. Let me tell you all about it.
I'm on tour around europe through September, then back to Aus to wrap up the year. I've been told Simon Cowell will be there, shaking his head
hey are you gonna do a tour of Australia?
You should do a USA Tour because man, you are fricking hilarious. I love your videos and USA deserves some laughs from you. You need to prove to USA that you are more funny and better than you AGT act. Keep on making hilarious jokes!
I’m honestly surprised to see this video. I was there when you performed. The voice-overs were actually kinda funny
Europe where?? Will you come to Portugal?
@@MrEightythix you cant read worth a shit
If you introduced yourself with some kind of terminal cancer and did that same act, you'd go all the way to finals.
Shits so rigged 😭
All you need is a sad song and tears
Just do Logan Paul’s apology video, and you’re set
People still watch this show ? Can’t believe it lol I realized when I was 8 that it was fake as fuck 😂
Yes, except one of the judges probably already hit the golden buzzer before he could do it himself
I need you to go bad every year and become a menace to AGT. I need to to go on for so long and for the bad blood to run so deep that you have to legitimately disguise yourself to get in and reveal your true identity at the end like a super villian
Sethward nuff said
Imagine watching AGT live, just to see this guy reveal himself after giving a stunning performance, a full applaud and golden buzzer. Then he presses it for himself AGAIN
YES!
The new sethward!!
LMAO
I assumed the golden buzzer didn't actually do anything and it was just a prompt for someone behind the scenes to activate the confetti, lights and music
I thought this too because there was times where the confetti didn’t drop so I thought someone missed their que💀
Didn't he say that the crowd thought he was doing it without their permission, implying that they were under the wrong impression and he did actually get clearance to hit it?
Exactly! Provably it’s actually how it works, but it’s all part of the show so it actually worked when it shouldn’t to make the joke
I mean it still could be. He said in the video that he cleared this with the AGT people. I wonder if the Judges knew about it as well? Because I know they have plants aka staged auditions where the judges know exactly who it is, which is why you’ll get those amazing singers that start off with a “bad song” and Simon will stop them and tell them to sing something else. That’s ALWAYS staged.
It is. How would the buzzer be able to detect who hits it!
Oh my fucking god this is amazing. You can see their ego vanish and morph into rage as soon as they know they’re the butt of the joke. First man in history with 4 red X and a gold buzzer mate!
In BGT someone got 4 reds and a gold, he sang ‘sex bomb’ I think.
Fuck yeah
@@dylan-Z-ansonwell here everyone pressed the red x on purpose
@@dylan-Z-ansonI remember seeing that video, it technically could be said it was three reds though because someone pressed it for David Walliams
Who knows? It's all edited
Okay, but, hear me out. The editing they did made this probably one of the most hilarious and iconic presentations ever. The cut from the confetti to the people in the crowd roaring making the X with their arms. Masterful comedy.
they look straight outta 1984 lmao
yeah I must congratulate the editors or showrunners or whoever decided it should be made that way
To be honest, that article is probably better publicity than going through to the next round. One of the most absurd headlines i've ever read
I have to admit it makes for a hilarious retrospective, the jokes not landing SO HARD is pretty funny
With context, it's hilarious. Like he mentions early on in the video. It was a sincere type of crowd.
Really digging the Andy Kaufman-like humor here.
Its Andy Kaufmann Style. Its interesting ... its not my kind of humor, but i definetely can aknowledge it as artform. And for me i like it more than Andy Kaufmann, because he was a bit pushy on making that ''not-fun'' work. While this one hat the feeling of much more ''unintentionally bad'' , which simply sells better that style. In my opinion.

I’ve always wondered why AGT has nonAmericans competing and getting judged by a Colombian, a German, a Canadian and an Englishman… the show literally makes zero sense
But then to be fair BGT is mostly Eastern and Australian competitors
It's called America's got talent not Americans got talent
I'm wondering why you care or even thought that deep into it.
Half of those people are American
@@zack-lk8if Why are you offended by their comment? He's just saying that it's kinda weird and ironic, because it's *America's* Got Talent.
The laugh graph joke is diffucult because americans seem to cheer and clap instead of laugh at comedy lol
or don't understand graphs :|
@@Max_McGamer They were cheering because graph went up, and that triggers a pavlovian response as all Americans have ingrained in them since birth to get happy and excited when a graph goes up, this phenomenon has existed ever since the stock exchange was invented

How to humiliate hundreds:
1: Create a bar chart showing a decline through a rising bar chart.
2: Show to hundreds of Americans
3: They clap as they look at bar chart go up.
4: They realise it's a negative incline.
5: They all look like morons

I saw your insta post and legitimately thought it was fake until this video

I love how you were trying to make a bad set and unintentionally made it worse. That was just full on hilarious.

Thank you for making this bland ass show actually funny and interesting
Yeah, I went to your show last year in Utrecht and it was really funny. I guess you have quite a unique style of comedy that doesn't translate as well to an audience of 3000 Americans who aren't necessarily into standup. I think playing a sound trough the speakers of the judge saying he cannot reach the buzzer so you should press it yourself is really funny, but if noone can hear it because they're all booing... it doesn't work. Shame that it didn't work out, but lets be honest, booing, four red buzzers, and a golden buzzer is a pretty funny outcome
Your kind of humor its so elevated for those bread and circus people
The funny thing is, shows like this NEED acts like yours. Because it’s entertaining regardless. Either your jokes kill and it’s entertaining that way, or they fall flat and it’s chaotic like this was and it’s like watching a train wreck. Also, you went in pretty much knowing you’d be boo’d off stage, that was “all part of the plan”. I think it’s funny how you stayed up there after all that and listened to their feedback. I assumed you were gonna walk off without ever hearing the judges say anything. But it was better the way you did it, lol
Personally, I think it worked perfectly, but precisely because everyone is rejecting it. It sets up the hitting the golden buzzer on the way out as the perfect punchline.
You: "we have an x-axis and a y-axis."
My dad who is a math teacher: "well that will lose over half the audience"
(Implying that people dont like math 🤣🤣)
Now go back and do same exact act
He needs a disguise
Bombing on AGT is funnier than anything you possibly could've planned, AND your skill as a performer still showed. There's a bunch of less experienced, panicked performers that show has made a freakshow out of in the edit. You finished the bit and didnt bail before the judges comments etc. Incredible stuff.
God I i hate this show, I'm so glad you upset the judges
As an American, Simon Cowell doesn’t deserve you.

Congratulations on your golden buzzer, well deserved
As an American, the laugh graph already pulled me in, but you had me dying at the golden buzzer punchline, even if the golden buzzer actually was connected to the confetti and all that jazz. The execution was fantastic, even with the technical errors. To be honest, the booing crowd makes it way funnier.
This is intrusive thoughts to a whole new level 😂
Duck theory?
DUDE I SEE YOU EVERYWHERE-
One of the most legendary things I've seen on tv. It was so painful to see all the jokes with the judges towards the end just go horribly wrong, but I think the essence of them were still there enough for people to maybe piece them together if they really think about it
I knew breaking that mirror was a bad idea
This is just a great analysis. As an American fan of yours I actually do love your style of comedy!!! I cry with laughter every single time. Australian comedy is very different compared to American style, and that’s what makes it great! ❤ Keep going for the gold Reuben no matter where you perform next on tour xx
I’m honestly surprised to see this. I was there at that performance when you performed. I remember your act really well, paired with the robot acrobat and the kid. The golden buzzer really caught me off guard when you actually pressed it😂
Literally breaking the 4th wall of comedy
Thanks for making this video. I thought this routine was funny and creative but at least you made AGT history by being the first to get 4 red X's and a golden buzzer
With the judges the major technical problem was simply that they had their own microphones and this creates more confusion in the unprepared audience's minds, you're great but too clever for that stage
This is what it looks like when a person has no comedic skills but infinite confidence.
you say the family talk before hand being wholesome made the parents joke bad and not feel like a joke but i feel like it makes it so much better. especially since you put them under the bus
How did no one laugh at the mom not being there?? That was a great bit 😭😭
The booing crowd and you celebrating your golden buzzer is absolutely hilarious 😂
When the guy asked "Stand up Comedian?" I would've answered "I'm more of a sit down type."
Edit: Look I don't get it. I just made a joke that revolves around the opposit of "standing up" which is "sitting down." (Or was it laying down?) Like the opposit of dark is light, or the opposit of far is near. And now I'm getting called left and shit wtf
i crouch cuz i cant afford to sit down
imwhymortalscry, this shit is not funny who told you this was funny
"you are all left" type of shit
what kind of crowd cant take the joke that someone is pressing the golden buzzer themselfs?
They just don’t get top notch humour smh
I’m just thinking the whole time that why don’t Americans get sarcasm 😂
Nah those Americans were just stupid 💀 (which I say as an American)
I really don’t think you can judge America based of a couple thousand people
.....have you never seen the American version of The Office or Daria?
@@SaturnthroughstarsI've seen the American version of The Office, but not Daria.
I thought that's just the normal version of The Office, tho, and the British version is the one that needs to be called out as "the British version of The Office"
@Matthew.Sweeney I was talking to OP because he claims Americans don't understand sarcasm. Point being, it's just a different flavor compared to what Brits enjoy.
It was amazing to watch American mainstream audiences just not get any of it.
Honestly, as rare as it is for me to say this, I'm with the judges on this one. The whole thing felt like a set of le random gags instead of an actual comedy show.
This was fucking hilarious I'm sorry the crowd was too erm... Uncultured to understand
I mean anyone who genuinely watches Simon Cowell and enjoys it enough to go to America's Got Talent in person... Is a type of person for sure
This is so funny, no one has ever done anything like this and that makes it so much funnier
This is like Andy Kaufman’s Tony Clifton act. No one in the audience gets the jokes, it’s only when you can see their reactions like this that makes it so funny
This was nothing short of fucking heroic
Its not my taste... but i definetely very much respect, that you brang down the egos of the jury at least a little bit. So that they know a little bit more, what it means for someone who gets on stage, puts efford in the performance, just to get roasted by a jury who actually dont have any particular talent. Sure i know the conditions of the show - the signed contract and everything - but still.. from time to time its necessary to bring that whole concept down to a human level again. And you did that. In that sense, it was important what you did, in my opinion.
You gotta have backups in case something unexpected like someone pretending to be your mom happens
Oh, i would have been CRYING on the floor with laughter if i was there. I would have thought it going wrong was the point and found the entire thing hysterical lol Andy Kaufman would have been so proud
I genuinely don't understand why they were hating so much this was great
That act was genuinely funny asf
This reminds me of how they didn’t jive with that amazing musical theatre and band group that had performers in the audience. I LOVED that, but they all thought they were bad actors 😂. I think it’s because the judges are used to movie acting and not theatre acting
this had to have been gut-wrenching awful to do, but in hindsight is so meta and hilarious. the joke is too smart for the mob mentality of the show. this played out like a cliff jump belly flop. super funny, but probably gonna die.
As an American who despises this show, your act was fantastic 😂👏
Terry seems like a genuinely good dude.
You proved you were the smartest person in the room seriously
Getting all 5 buzzers though thats a first right
You are so funny like if I was a judge, I would never ever put that X!! You are an icon, a genius ngl!
I've been seeing you from time to time on my TikTok and stuff, and seeing you suddenly bomb at AGT got me laughing so hard.
It's such a shame your joke didn't go as planned, because of the timing or difficulties, but I think either way it was a very good massive troll and it amused me.
Keep up comedying all over the place!
First they insulted the Otamatone, then they hate this dude
That was hilarious 😂😂😂 you had me laughing! That’s sad they all booed you 😢. You deserve better!
Watching this felt like a fever dream- so I can only imagine what it must’ve been like for you actually performing that act on agt lol
11:25 you can clearly see no one making the X gesture with their arms crossed which shows how fake this show is
Need you to go back every year, become a AGT villain

I hate to be this guy as a channel watcher and australian but this did give me pretty bad second hand cringe, this was a pretty hard watch haha
Oh it definitely was. Love the guy but despite knowing he was just trolling and messing around, knowing most people weren't aware still made me cringe/feel embarassed a bit for him haha
Like some said, I think his kind of humour didn't resonate with the crowd
Fair enough, cringe humour is meant to make you uncomfortable.
Not anywhere near as bad as Misfit minds videos, those new ones are really hard to watch
He’s got that Kauffman humor
First comedy performance to have me on the edge of my seat 😂What a wonderful piece of history here
I think it so much more comedic that it went like this. Its just hilarious.
Great act
i really dont understand why they are so confused... they're talking about how it doesnt make sense and they dont get it but they werent complex jokes at all... clearly the judges are just kinda stupid
I think it’s because they’re dry and aren’t actually jokes. First he just makes a graph to force the audience to laugh without actually making a joke. Then he goes up to the judges and having a boring ass recording of them saying how amazing he is like what? It’s not funny. He never made one single joke and then pressed the golden buzzer it’s just cringe

This isn't even some crazy avant-garde material... pretty standard stuff. I genuinely don't understand why the judges were so confused. Funnier than anything I've seen from Howie Mandel that's for sure
0:32 Eh....Got Talent is originally a British show.
Exactly
But he said they make Americas Got Talent
I apologize on behalf of all Americans that this show exists. They should not have permission to use our country’s name.
For such a unique show I'm surprised it went so bad. It's like that cliche thing where everyone tells bad jokes until one tells a good joke but no one laughs acting like it wasn't funny.
Not only is this British humor at its finest and Americans didn't appreciate it, they didn't even get the joke. The joke was that the judges got it 'wrong' by him getting the golden buzzer.
11:12
They were giving you a standing ovation XD
3 questions
1: what do u think u could’ve done to impress the panel
2: out of all that’s left in the competition, who r u rooting for
3: who’s ur fav golden buzzer (aside from ur self)
Now go onto another got talent show and tell them how you fooled Americas got talent in small bits. 😂 it will give a reason for news headlines to bring back that headline. "Man who clicked the golden buzzer wins ____ got talent"
This bit isn't awkward, the way people reacted to it is. This honestly reminds me a lot of the old interview Toby Fox did before Undertale released where the whole crowd was silent, not because Toby Fox isn't funny, but because they didn't see the genius that was in front of them yet.
Getting this in my recommended and realizing you looked familiar to remember you're the funny guy I follow on TikTok made this video an even wilder trip lmao
Golly gee Reuben! That was the best standup routine i've ever seen!
Americans just don’t get the batshit humour we Australians have cultivated for decades
Congrats on being the most booed man in the history of the biggest talent show in the world. Also Terrys always been a real one.
This was better than 80 percent of comedians on AGT I understand the judges not accepting you I don’t understand the boos
12:58 LMAO they are SO nice 😭
Americans don’t like subtle humour. If it’s not spelled out for them they simply don’t get it. Your shows go down much better in Australia and the UK so keep at it.
I thought you did alright.
This is about as subtle as throwing the Earth out of orbit.
