- My clinics started using digital scanners around 2-3 years ago and I'm getting great feedback from patients. Compared to traditional alginate impressions which caused inaccurate models and gag reflexes, intra-oral digital scans are making life a lot easier for both my patients and I.
This scanner is completely revolutionary
There is now a new impression tray released is one of the best , gives all the details precisely,,,it’s better then the old one and better then the 3d scan..
It can take all the tooth preparation margin without the need of the retraction cord .. it’s a miracle
I had this done today for a crown - it took forever. My Dentist is an older chap and could not do it right, he had to call one of his other colleagues to do it
Thank you so much for demonstrating this.
That was AWESOME doctor! My dentist used the old method and I thought they had up to date technology😂 I had to get one done today.
your videos are very good and have a wide message thank you
How much does it cost for digital impressions? Ballpark
Do these work well for Hawley retainers? My dentist used it to make impression for that.
Great video thanks for posting .This technology is to see hard tissues only for cavities etc right? Are there any x rays needed or this technology is self sufficient for hard tissues visualisation? Would any dentist ask for x rays after showing them the images of the hard tissues with this technology? Does it work for the jaw joints regarding a popping jaw that gets somewhat stuck?? Thank you very much in advance for your reply.
Which procedure is more accurate?
Just had this done this morning.
Your Alginate impression came out so well. Any trick to it?
Doctor, how often do you take alginate impressions now? It seems the industry is in a constant transition to digital over the last few years.
This is only for record ,not for denture
Country??
At what resolution does it scan
Hi Gopi. According to Medina-Sotomayor et al., iTero has a resolution of 34.20 points per mm2. Please visit the iTero website or talk to a iTero rep for more information.
That’s totally not true, the scanner is not more accurate then an impression. I have had this scanner and send it back. It’s just a sales pitch!
Obviously he is being compensated by Itero. Quick? Yes, Convenient? Yes, but more accurate, unfortunately not even close.
$30,000-$50,000 for an intraoral scanner
no thanks i will stick with regular impression materials
Yep, me too it's just an impossible option for countries in the third world. Maybe an indirect method like the scan of the models
What a nice lookin face she has. Fantastic job!

your videos are very good and have a wide message thank you
