Definitely better than most sound bars out there if you have a smaller space. Heard this (or maybe a last-gen model) at Audio Advice Live last year and was super impressed!
I’ve had the 75ms for about 18 months, it’s not a sound bar this thing is big and hefty, sound is crisp and powerful no distortions I wish experience with connectivity apps was smother but great sounding speaker overall.
Two reallly good speakers! We haven't tried them side by side but the L42ms definitely will have a wider soundstage and sound closer to a true stereo system. The Authentics can definitely get loud! But to us, is aimed for more casual listening.

Couldn't agree more!
I like the retro md-century modern look. Perfect for my bedroom
Yes, they have a cool look!
Like the vintage design of the soundbar. I wouldn't mind having one of those.
Thanks! It does have a cool look

Thanks for sharing your experience with it!
I’m gonna use this with a turn table for my vinyl set up
Great idea!
can two of them be used in stereo?
Sorry, no, but JBL does have other powered stereo speakers to choose from. www.audioadvice.com/home-audio/speakers/powered-speakers?brand=620
How would you compare the L42ms to the Authentics 500?

@@AudioAdvice thanks for that!
Love my 2x JBL 200 Authentic's but wondering how this compares to a Naim Muso, which is my current best BT Pair/All in one?
Both are very good but have their own sonic character. Please reach out to our team to discuss which one is best for you.
@@AudioAdvice Thanks, but it would only be the bigger wooden one if I do get one.
wow, retro look 👍🏻
Thanks!
I have been looking at the 4309, could this also be used as a center channel???
Sorry. While it would be great if they could work like that they unfortunately can’t. Thanks for watching
Impressive!
Thank you
Very cool Retro aesthetics
Agreed!
Nice, but a bit overpriced.
They do have a lot of drivers, amps, tech and design, which all comes at a price. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Bluetooth v4.2 is a joke
The selling point is the hi res capabilities. This is not a portable speaker
@@antoniosmith197 everyone wants up to date bluetooth at this price point tho ....
No thanks !
I’ve been watching the L75MS JBL needs to run a sale on this speaker
We do not know of anything coming up but if you subscribe to our newsletter at www.audioadvice.com, we would publish a sale if they have one
