Nahh bro, Dude acted like an upset child the whole session! Lmaoo... meanwhile your being patient as hell trying to teach them the bare minimum ! 😮💨😂.. this definitely made me super grateful to have had sessions with artists who are chill and dope.. honestly one of the biggest take aways from this video to those starting the journey’ is “studio etiquette” (engineers producers -always keep your cool, or if your the artist - don’t be that guy who kills the vibe !!!😒
Love the fact that she straight up said "no I don't" when he asked if she could hear it. So many people would say yes just to not be seen as "that person" but she ain't care. She there to learn not look cool.
I was once a artist that didn’t pay attention to what the engineers was doing because I had so much other things on my mind ,now that I’m older and have my life together, I know just how important it is getttn them gems ,they lucky
Boy is cold wit it. 1 thing I learned about mixing is even if you learn these techniques. Every vocal is different & you still have to stay consistent enough to develop trusting your ears when making decisions.
this 40 min video packs clear information!!!!! as well as the young lady in the green asking the right questions. appreciate you showing how you flow through a mix!
The so-call artist laying out on the couch and not initiating in the learning process. My girl is absorbing everything. This is the type of student that will be successful. The artist will be paying her for her service in the future. The engineer is definitely a good teacher and mentor.
What a great video. That girl helped a lot by being vocal about her questions which let him explain the basics. So dope to see. Maybe yall ought to do a series of you and her learning the basics together. I feel super confident in mixing vocals now. Thx a lot.
A lot of people ask me the difference between aux and bus. I always say that an aux is majority used to affect the entire signal that’s being sent through it vs. a bus being used more so to blend the processing (ie. reverb, delays, parallel comp, etc.) with the signal it’s being sent to.
@@SonicGoldProductionsthank you bro fr, theres a lot of good info in these vids im bouta binge watch fr,, the style is different from any other educational production video ive seen since youre actually teaching ppl while you do the video, it makes it a chill vibe, and you explain everything great, and they can ask questions,, mane you killin it bro, thank you bro fr for the high quality content! also the tip about the wanting it to sound like its coming from the chest fye!!!!
Love your show if could take your time with the mouse cursor & explain more about what you using in the aux as far as vocals and music would be great & u are amazing
Great video 40 minutes of solid useful content.. You hit a lot of great points on mixing and general information. Wishing you much success in your journey.. You gained a new subscriber 💪🏾🔥💰
Bro, you are one hell of an instructor. You are Simple, Straight to the point, Informative. Engaging, Very Explanatory and Inspiring. Glad your Channel popped up in my feed…………. SUBSCRIBED!!!
@5:48 "You hear that lil high buzz? 🤔 Her: No i dont" 😆🤣 She was a lil salty there, felt like she thought bro was saying the recording was bad 😂 we all get a lil bleed time to time, its no biggie.
We mix similar I just get a good static mix first then I start cleaning everything up normally-10db on the beat but I buss it to a aux an keep it at 0db an I create a sub mix so I don’t have nothing on the master
Man some people just don’t deserve to be in that room I can feel the vibe thru the screen if money not involved definitely wouldn’t have dude on the left around me ! Good vid tho
Bro i get why you mix on an aux fro group mixing but waht i can't wrap my head around if you are sending the lead vox to it wouldn't that make it stero? And if so should it be mono? I noticed when I tried i lost my left and right panning (I was using auto panning plugin on an adlib)
The "rapper " giving slow vibes clapping and scratching like he aint learning. I love the girl she is curious ands wants to learn. and big papi cute. Good video you helped me out
Yo I have a question bro. I'm kinda new to the whole mixing vocals thing, just actually invested in my aspiration. Before that I messed around on audacity with a blue yeti mic, so I'm not completely ignorant of audio stuff. But what I wanted to know was if you de-noised the audio before mixing it, would it have made a difference? Could it have possibly made the buzz less noticeable? I've got a home studio, so I have some undesirable sounds for sure. Love the vid though brother. Good shit
Hey man, if you feel you need to de-noise audio, there is something wrong. You shouldn’t need to de-noise audio ideally. I’d invest in a better mic for sure
@@2faced-definitely apart of the reason, vibrations travel around your room and your mic is made to pick them up(not literally but it’s a frequency recorder it’s going to pickup whatever freq is around it). try different mic placement and even an isolation ball to help with toning down room ambiance and background noise. Keep grinding bro we all figuring this out together 💪🏾
@@Aft3rHoursOnly I’ve got an isolation shield, I’m thinking about moving my mic into my closet and seeing if that helps. Do you think I should get an eyeball as well if I already have the shield though?

Notes the audio panning plugin was directly on the track not on the aux group
That room noise was impossible to remove. Mix did not turn out well due to it
Yeah it’s tough when you have room noise, try some eq and room correction plugins if that helps

Anybody gotta explanation for the buzz he was talking about towards the beginning of the video
