Cultural Mediator in the Picture: Ahmed Creates Safe Spaces

In this video, Ahmed talks about his role as a cultural mediator in the SAMEN project. Cultural mediators connect migrants to suitable support services in the Netherlands. They collaborate with medical professionals to bridge the intercultural gap between migrants and Dutch service- or healthcare providers. Moreover, they interpret and translate languages and cultural contexts, which allows them to build trust between both parties.
