    In the video we mistakenly referred to the bike as a GSX250SF, the real name is in fact the Gixxer SF 250.

      Hi I have been trying to find out more about this, Iam looking at their website now and I see the 2023 is a GSX250F that pushes 26Kw, is that a diffrent bike to this?

      @@garethcollocott6310 GSX 250F is a sport bike while the gixxer is a sporty commuter. the gixxer is cheaper too.

    I'm hopefully taking delivery of a 2024 model this week. I'm on the older side and this is my first bike, having not ridden a bike before. I hope I'm making the right choice.

    I cannot wait to get this bike. after so much googling and asking around and just general research, i'm glad that this bike was suggested for a first bike. after this review it was just confirmed that i will be making the right choice.

    Great Video - Had my Gixxer 250 SF now for 1000km loving it more everyday. Top speed is about 155-160km/h ;)

      How is the ride at that speed? And does it struggle to reach it?

      ​@@jusdeeeit's pretty solid, you can adjust the rear suspension stiffness. 0-100kmh in less than 10 sec. Starting at 130, the acceleration gettin heavier, need a long track to reach it's top speed

    I was looking at getting this bike myself. In matte black though. Looking forward to cruising around jozi on this. I’ve heard so many people complain about that rear break but overall great impressions. Thanks for this vid, mate!

      Its the perfect bike for Johannesburg. Its not to big that you are always questioning gaps, nor is it to slow. If you are wanting one bike (on the smaller CC side of things) i would definitely recommend getting one, plus everyone thinks its a 600cc

      Get the naked version, it's slightly cheaper. There's a black and white one which is totally awesome. I don't like the blue and yellow colour scheme either.

    Use a GS150R as a commuter & after hours delivery bike.
    Took a test ride on the Gixxer 250SF, more than ever convinced I want to upgrade to the naked version of this 250.
    Felt the punchy power, love ABS for safety & if it's as reliable Suzuki as my current bike, will be a great bike

    Good review. It's a fucking awesome bike with or without the fairing. I prefer the naked version in black and white. It's also slightly cheaper. Perfect commuter and easily does service as a delivery bike. You can sit on this bike all day long. Total joy to ride around on.

    FINALLY A SA REVIEW OF THIS BIKE. EXACTLY WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR, was considering this bike or a low KM Harley for around the same price. But struggling to make up my mind

      I will never buy Harley. It's overpriced American noise. If you want noise, buy a jackhammer.

      @@RichardCatto Haha, Harleys are amazing! Indian Scout is also a dream to drive. I will agree with you on the maintenance costs of a Harley though. Iam looking for a smaller bike, toss up between this and the R3.

    26.5ps not 24kw, 12l tank but fuel light is flashing and i put 8l in for 340km. nice review

    Nice review, bike suspension was a-bit firm for me so I adjusted to setting 3 (factory was at 4)

    The Motor GP is a bit too much because a lot of people prefer the naked version, would you recommend it as a new bike for a new rider or I would start with the 150cc?

    would a bit longer trips be enjoyable? kokstad to durban? looking at around 3 and half hours drive? also what mileage does a tank give? i am considering getting one of these

      12 litre tank, approx 30 km/l = 360 kilometres per full tank

    I'm debating on getting either this bike or the gixxer 150. My initial thought was to get the 150 for the fuel economy, but i'm starting to lean in the direction of the 250

      @@mlibatisimamba5338 I got the 250. Great bike. I'm still very happy with it. Don't need more than 150km/p, and it's very economical.

      @@mlibatisimamba5338 I chose the 250cc. No regrets whatsoever. Not very fast, but definitely fun to ride and very comfortable.

      @@humblespa6 It's very stable at 120kph. Very aerodynamic, too, so it cuts through the wind nicely.

    i think the windshield is a bit too small but it's a pretty good bike

      You don't need a fairing at all. It's for show mostly. On a naked bike, you only start feeling the wind pressure when you're pushing north of 120 km/h. This bike tops out at around 135 km/h if you push it, so it's expected you will cruise in the 100 - 120 range. There is a naked version of this bike and it's slightly cheaper.

      A 250cc is a delivery class bike. It's meant to run all over town all day long.

    Hi all, anyone with more information on bikes, is it an ideal transport to do 400km trip it won't give a problem, not everyday, maybe once a week

      The bike is awesome, however with the seating position there is some pressure on the wrists, I find after about an hour on the bike I feel abit cramped and my body gets sore. But when I get off and have a 5 minute rest then I am good to ride again for another hour with no issues

    Having visited your beautiful country, Sept. 2019, for 14 days I have a desire to tour on a motorbike. My question is can a UK national buy and insure a new motorcycle like this. Would love to tour Western Cape, Route 22 etc. Also as a Himalayan rider do Royal Enfield sell their bikes in your country ? Best wishes from the UK.

    New vehicle U can top speed upto 154kmph....but due limiter it goes back to 152....after 2 to 3 service it can top upto 160kmph....if change to performance exhaust this can clock higher speeds

      CANNOT GET 160 KHM ALL OF THEM GO 147-151 STOCK EVEN WITH A LIGHT PERSON ON A FLAT NO LUCK FOR THIS BIKES GO GO BEYOND 150KHM

      gearing matter , using less teeth rear gear will make difference

      @@dumbball1966 some bikes have factory manufactured alt rear sprockets for the purpose of changing the gearing ratio. The KTM 390 Duke comes to mind. I'm not sure if such is available for this bike.

    Misleading name to make use believe they brought back the 250cc 4 cylinder. But it’s just another underpowered two cylinder

      I still have mine. 96 model gsx250f 4 cylinder. Dont think ill ever part with it, even though I daily my 2010 cb400

    WAY too low RPM. I have this bike, 4200 km's on it so far. I see you are in 6th gear at 60 km/h, you should be in at least 3rd, maybe even 2nd if a bit slower.

      One five zero = 150, and one-fifty= 150 so basically 150=150, so one-fifty is equal to one-fifty.

      Only at 3rd gear u may get some slight vibrations under seat and mirrors...rest all gears are smooth and torque
