I am 88 and love hand building with porcelain clay, you are so fresh and lovely, thank you for making my life so bright and happy..VR
Ahh, thank you.
Oh these are gorgeous glad you made a hand built one not good on the wheel. 😊
I just ❤️❤️❤️ all your videos and you are so relaxed, non stressed and always a smile and a story to tell!! Thanks for sharing your talents. I’m 78 and still handbuilding… bought the gourd molds and have built many bird feeders, houses and decorative gourds from them. Your bank owl was awesome and of course the fairy houses etc etc. 🥰🥰🇨🇦
That was a lot of work. Very cute. Will be super when glazed. Great job.
Wish you would do a workshop... you are such a great teacher!!
Ahh, thank you.
Love the look the flowers make! You can never go wrong with a few flowers!😁💓🌸🌺🌼
Thank you so much for showing me what is possible. I'm a 58 year old woman in the UK just starting out on my pottery making journey. Hand building attracts me a great deal. Can't wait for my first hand building course this April.
Thank you so much.

I'm turning 57 this year. Go for it!
Hummingbirds are mean and very territorial. They like it if you spay water from the hose so the can get a shower. I've seen hawks get chased off by groups of humming birds. Nice bird houses. Love the hand building.
You are a great artist.
Ahh, thank you.
The bird houses are so cute, and functional. You do such great work, thank you so much for sharing your wonderful skills. I just love watching you, I am very creative also and enjoy every minute of every day. Keep up the good work . Linda 😊 ❤.
Awe, thank you, Linda!
Thank you for sharing your ideas, skills and talent! I have learned a lot from you. Your videos are fun to watch too.
Ahh, thank you!
Am a crafter (artist). Have dreamed of working in ceramics free form. Sadly, nothing near me. Love your tutorial.
@@paulinehunt4069 Than you. I hope you give it a try. There's lots you can do at home. The biggest issue would be finding a kiln...
I"d love some of his moulds, but I live in the UK and postage is very expensive , I'll have at have a go at throwing them , I love all your work,, endless energy, cant keep up with you Tiffany 😊
Lol, man I wish I had the energy I used to before my knee surgeries. Check out any places local that do slio casting. I've had molds poured for me, they need to be poured thicket, and then I pick them up while they are still soft enough to cut them in half.
So creative and happy, thank you
I just saw you had a new video out and its 11:08pm Australian Eastern Standard time... I have a clay conference tomorrow to go to and here I am watching your Video trying to convince myself I need to go to bed.... but your video Aghhh! Just 5mins more then I'll save the rest until I get home! but by gosh I really don't want too. I want to just watch all of it and totally ignore my need for sleep. 😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆. Looks Amazing so far!
Lol, thank you for this and have a great time at the conference!
Thank you for sharing your knowledge and experience with us 😊
I always look forward to your new videos! I have learned so much. Thank you!!!
Beautiful.
Hi. Another great video. I always learn something new. Keep them coming 😊
What a GREAT project!!!
Looks beautiful!
Love your bird houses they are so gorgeous - I am going to have a go at making some 🥰💕
Thank you! Yes, they are a joy to make.
Awesome, I have the Michael Harbridge molds too.
Pero que genialidad que tienes ,no puede ser más hermoso me encanto ,gracias por enseñar👏👏👏🥰.Bendiciones un abrazo desde Chile 😊
😂 you don't like the word moist. It's a pretty necessary artist, or bakers word.
You are so creative, and your tutorials are really beautifully done and very inspirational 🎉. Thank you
Precioso tus trabajos 🎉❤ Gracias por compartir.!
Very nice
Verry nice 👌
Thank you for doing a hand built version! Tip on drawing birds in, you would need to research what kind of box that species prefers. They may prefer larger or smaller boxes, or might like the opening higher, or even may prefer a wide entrance. Birds are very picky about their nesting spots!
Thank you for the tips!
Love your videos! Have you tried flannel under the plastic to slow down the drying schedule? Have use that in the past and it seems to help with a prolonged drying process if you don't have a damp box to put things in.
That's a great idea!
Hello I'm in the UK and newcomer to clay modelling, I've started using DAS which I'm happy with and I loved watching your video as you explain everything so well. Could you tell me the name of the clay you are using or is it only available in the US?
I use primarily Aardvark and some Laguna. I don't know if you can get it in the UK. My advice is to use local clays when ever you can as it's cheaper. Talk with your clay supplier for the best advice on which clays to use for what you're making.
Grácias !!!
Would you show us how to hand build a bird house without a mold?
I had thought about that n but really didn't want too. Mainly, because I do have a Christmas cottage video that would work for that. Maybe check out that video and adapt it from a Christmas cottage to a birdhouse. 😀
What kind of wood is your table?
How does one Hang these lovely bird houses?
I have big hooks on my studio for the bigger ones. I make smaller ones, too, and have hook stands that push into the soil, and they do fine.
Lol I love that word I think it's funny haha
How much do you sell these bird houses for? Knowing how much to ask for something you have made is a hard thing to decide on for me!
It is really hard putting a price on your work. For me in my area, they start at 65 and go up to 125 depending on size and how detailed. I hope that helps. One thing I always tell my students, don't unvalue your work. Good luck.
I have found a bird house needs a door so one can clean out the house after the season is over and the birds have migrated.
Where did you buy the mold?

Thanks for sharing. I read that the male hummingbird gaurds the feeder and only lets the female eat if he can get lucky
We have been dive bombed by the little suckers. I had to move the hummingbird feeder away from the studio to protect us and my students, lol.
@@hobblecreekpottery Lol guess he thinks you are sexy or worried the girls will
❤
i luvvv the birdhouses...but...from a birdy point of vieuw i would not use it ...the young birdies are sitting ducks for claws of cats or beaks from big predatorbirds if the hole is this low...for estatics it nice...but if you make them specially as nests for birds...make the holes higher up...no cat or beak can make a 90 degree angle to get the little birdies🙂
Cute Birdhouses but those molds cost more than $200. Most of us will have to find another way to make them.
@@mariastellamelendez8670 He does put them on sale, and that's when I picked them up. But you could make your own too.
Here in Australia, we have snakes, fish and spiders that are all poisonous.
Shudder!
Tiny feathered warriors have no room for the idea that they are small....
OCD, oh no. Lol
