Just because you're good at a video game doesn't mean you know how to behave in front of a camera. Even with physical sports the reason why they are more often more comfortable in front of cameras is because from a young age the person is already used to a lot of social interaction. If you take a kid who has done pretty much nothing but since in front of their computer playing League and then thrust them into the spotlight overnight, this is the reaction you'll get.
