I’ve been shooting with iron sights all my life and I’m old. It was a tough sell for me to try a red dot. I did the same thing with a Glock as you did just to try one and see how I like it without permanently altering my slide. Well, I liked it and now have red dots on three of my guns. I eventually broke down and had the slides cut. I do like the lower mounting on a cut slide. Great video sir and Semper Fi, once a Marine, always a Marine.
When I first joined the Marine Corps all we have are iron sights. We only started getting EOTECH and ACOGS during OIF and OEF. I loved shooting iron sights but my eyes telling me different thing. So I started to consider RDS on my pistols and even PCC rifles. Thank you sir for the comment. Semper Fi .. Orahhhh!!!
It seems ridiculous to me, however in the state of Texas where i reside, there is not a gun shop within three hours of me that will install an optics plate on my XD! I'll be buying a tool similar to the one you used!
What footprint is the sight mount I bought the same one from Amazon but the aluminum version , what type of red dots fit on it , which one can I buy that is good and cost 100 to 200 dollar range preferably lower 100 range
I bought the DPP footprint for Vortex Venom. Aside from ammo..one thing that you will spend more money are the upgrades for your gun . I only buy red dot when they are on sale.. I don’t buy full price 🤣😂🤣. You should be able to find a red dot with your price range.
I shot the xdm elite 9mm in 3.8" with the dragonfly hex red dot. Definitely wish the original xdm 10mm had the cutout but i would try this if they make one for it

you did not video how you mount the plate to your frame, cause your sight pusher did not work. (ulbod)

It is very easy to install.. unfortunately I don’t think RUclips will allow the demonstration because it falls into the modification of firearm.
