Should have mentioned that the Type-S has a more limited range because of the front Brembos. Wheels with offsets of +35 or higher might not fit and will require spacers.
@@minhnguyen96 There's no specific offset that will clear Brembos. It all depends how the wheel is designed. Different models will have different fitments, some will clear and some won't. The Fitment Industries Gallery is a good place to start.
Sonny D Luffy had the 4th gen sold it and got this 4th is a clumsy as car no offence plus much harder to mod and I have a type s with a super charger dual cone intakes borla exhaust dc sport headers and a spec body kit I’d bet you any money I’d run your car into the ground any day
I had a 2006 with XXR 527 18x8.75 +35 offset, chromium black. On 235 40. No fender rolling, no spacer, not lowered. I thought they looked perfect and had that flush look.

Just invest in jack stands, c clamp, jack, and a mechanics tool box. At Home Depot you can get a good tool box for about $50 and $100 if you want all the bells and whistles. I'd start by learning how to change your fluids in the car. You're car will be fully serviced, fluids are pretty inexpensive, and you'll get a solid understanding of how the mechanics in your car work. You'll be ready to handle bigger jobs and know what the issue is when something eventually breaks. Good luck my dude
@@ewhit5160 The Base 6MT and Type-S (5AT and 6MT) come with the brembos, so finding wheels for our cars is harder because of that and amount of room we have inside the fenders.
Also to Isaac, look for wheels that have a concave design to them. Offset matters but also wheel spoke design. The same spec wheels may have different caliper to spoke clearance.
Them extra wide camber joints look so stupid lol. The green one had a nice colour combo but was on 215’s in the front 😔🤧🖤 no traction a literal downgrade for such a nice car
How are people running a 18x9.5 + 10 on type s models, just got some wheels and the front hits the caliper. Do they sell a caliper that’s tho we to clear the wheel?

Agree! On my type S, if the mofos were just at least 18inch I'd just bronze or black them and keep rolling but the 17" wheels😩 just don't do it

2007 2008 are the best acura tl and most reliable.
2004-2006 were notorious for transmission problems,fucking junk

If you're already scraping, going up in tire size won't help you from not scraping.
