Also, car insurance if you live in the Baltimore metropolitan area. Everyone will pay for this, even if it’s not your car has never been stolen. My rates have continued to go up.. Most are starting to refuse insuring Hyundai and Kia..
I agree. I been with the same State Farm insurance company for 35 years and I never had any speeding tickets accident or made a claim on my insurance EVER . My premium for the year was 600$ full coverage now that same COVERAGE cost 1300. 00 a year. That’s not how insurance is supposed to work the better driving record the lower insurance, BUT NOW IT GOING UP and got a letter stating it is going to go up another 200.00
So that will be 1500 a year. Like wtf VOTE BRANDON N BGF OUTTA HERE.
@@FJB-TRUMP2024 Yeah, it’s crazy. And yes, it’s greed on State Farm and other insurance companies part. But common sense will tell you that someone will pay for these stolen cars and cars damaged from attempted break ins…. The insurance companies are not going to just eat that.. They lie and say the state raised the premiums….
Auto owners in the Baltimore area will pay for this in their auto insurance.

Hey, guess what? Two out of the three cars shown in this video were Hyundais. I know, because I just got my Hyundai stolen two months ago.
The uptick in certain Hyundai models being stolen around the city (and country) are due to Hyundai and Kia failing to install engine immobilizers in models from 2008 to 2022, just to save money. There's a class action lawsuit happening about it right now. Even when you update your car with their "safety update", your car is still likely to be targeted and stolen anyway due to how well-known this defect is. It's so popular that stealing these models is a TikTok challenge now.
There are two lessons to learn here: 1. Don't buy a Hyundai if you can help it. 2. This is not a mayoral issue. This is an issue of a corporation cutting corners to save money.
