My teachers are hating on me because my drawing style is like cartoon x anime style...but I am not thinking about changing it tbh cause I am happy with my style atm. 😌I hope I can make my sketchbooks for school look more interesting and stop being scared over what is allowed and what isn't and just do anything in it. 💗

Ооооо чебурашка♡ ♡ ♡ This little one with big ears is character from russian cartoon ( actually it was made in USSR ). His name is Чебурашка ( Cheburashka )! I loved to watch this cartoon when I was a kid, great memories ♡
My college also had a room called the fishbowl! It was the editing room for the video students. We called it that because it was all glass and people kept staring in at the students. And the art classrooms all had windows on both the outer and hallway walls, so they were secondary fishbowls.

I have to agree with the instructors at the school of not having fans or mangacart because artist have to Branch out and have to do their own styles. Manga is fun, but you got to do your own style for which you can have what you see or what your identity of your character is on paper. I've been there when I was in drawing class back in 1991. I was going my way without learning the basics of the value of color and the realness of the art. Oh boy the teacher went got on me for not following the basic skills in the art class. But it did work out well because I learned the skills from the class I use it on my art style. And it really worked. The instructor are not taking your manga away. They just want you to build up your style of your own. Btw, your sketchbooks are good

That’s very cool! I don’t remember the fishbowls at Calarts having any windows, but natural light from the roof lit one of the rooms.
