Diogenes of Sinope or Sinop was not a stoic, but instead a cynic, they both recognize that virtue is the only good, the main difference between the two groups is that instead of neglecting anything which isn't according to nature Stoics recognizing that some things such as money is not good or bad in itself. Along with Antisthenes and Crates of Thebes, Diogenes is considered one of the founders of Cynicism. He might had some similarities with Taoism but that is irrelevant.
