    You don't necessarily have to have the hood switch if it doesn't have one already, you can just connect the two wires together. It'll start with the hood open though, mine had a switch but it was broken so that's what I did.

      Do the other remote functions (lock, unlock, panic) work on all of your keys?

    Do you know if this would work for a 2011 Expedition?

    Any idea if this would be the same for the 2010?

      It is not the same for 2009-2010 unfortunately. Ford changed the electrical system on these trucks starting in 2011.

      @@AKJeeper ahh, so this feature wouldn’t be available for the ‘09 & ’10 model years?

    • @AKJeeper
      @AKJeeper  7 месяцев назад +1

      @@dm7097 Nope. You will have to go with a more traditional remote start system. The Ford dealer-add on for these cars appears to be a Compustar or similar unit. Not a plug-n-play system by any means.

    Those this work on a 2010?

    • @AKJeeper

      No. There were changes/enhancements made to these trucks starting with the 2011 model year. A 2010 will need to have a more traditional remote start unit installed. The Ford dealer accessory they sold for the 2009-2010 years was basically a Ford-branded aftermarket remote start unit.
