A friend of mine has just bought a 2022 Volvo XC60 T6. Was very impressed with the ride over the weekend. It has a similar sized 18kWh battery and even with the battery run down still operated in Hybrid mode which he said was identical to his old Lexus NX300 it replaced. Definitely worth looking at as they can certainly help reduce motoring costs for shorter journeys.
I’m with you Richard, having a clean vehicle is so satisfying, and stupid as it sounds, I hate using the washers / wipers for the first time after it’s been cleaned, feels like it’s soiled 🤣🤣 The end of the video where you turned on to the Ashurst Road was really disorienting with the split screen 😆
A friend of mine has a new Petrol Tiguan which he loves apart from the touchscreen, he told me it drives him nuts trying to alter the hvac and radio settings. Keep the old one with real controls.
Absolutely agree with you if you get a car that you like keep it. My wife who regards a car as a means to getting from A to B has a first generation Hyundai i10 no annoying tech proper buttons/switches 45mpg best small car we have ever owned
In your X5, put it in your personal profile and then turn off all the lane keep assistance and stuff. This should turn the Intelligent Safety button from green to orange. Now, so long as you select your driver profile when you get in the car, those systems should stay off. This is how it works in my 2020 X5., but later cars probably get more intrusive. 22" wheels with run flat tyres are ridiculously big in my view, and while the ride is quite good, I expect more. I'm about to try 20" wheels with non-run flat winter tyres.
Richard Miss’s has a Macan GTS 67 plate,22600 miles it’s absolutely mint.. We’re looking at changing due to insurance premiums just keep going up and tax.. Though we just can’t find a replacement car.. Thing is in the last 4-5 years Porsche has increased by 30%. It’s new EV Macan is stupidly priced.. It’s like do we just keep our GTS and just pay the premium price for insurance and the tax,and run it into the ground. Regards to ride comfort,I’ve a defender 110 23 plate.. I favour the 20” wheels with massive side walls for comfort over the skinny 22”. Plus the 20” are less prone to pot hole damage
I'd be quite disappointed with the air suspension failing so soon on both sides. If you keep up the warrantee I'm sure you'll carry on enjoying the car as it ticks a lot of boxes, but it doesn't bode well for subsequent owners in later years who will probably end up wishing they had picked a car with simpler metal springs.
Hey, have you seen the G8 video? I almost missed out on the Q5 hybrid as a possible daily car. By the way, do you know what the MPG is on a long road trip after the battery runs out? I'm curious if the weight of the car will make a difference.

You running runflats on the x5. That would make a difference on the ride.
I will check that Peter and come back on a video
Best time to go through the car wash? When it's raining! No one else there and the dirt has been softened.
Got 2 cars done super quick and you are correct with the dirt!

Thank you, I will look and see if I can turn them off now

Thank you, I almost went back to a GTS a few months ago. I would just keep it as they drive so well and lost most of its value now.

I can't get a replacement for my 2014 Cayenne S Diesel. TT V8, great economy and performance.
Get a slightly used S Class hybrid if you want good ride quality.

Hi, the mpg is around 30 average - long journeys over 38 mpg
Thank you
Hope you’re got extended warranty
Lane assist crap Ur all over the road on country lanes stop start trying to keep it off
