For many scared artists!!!!!! If you got to your local dollar store, there are canvases and canvas panels in many sizes. They are actually pretty good quality and they come in pretty big sizes as well. Hope this helped!!!
Or you can go to your local Michel's
I get most of my canvases for the dollars store because they are really nice actually
I'm nursing my 3 week old son at 1 a.m. while watching this.
After 33 weeks of strict, laying down only, bedrest I just want to get back into painting.
You can do painting during bed rest, just keep all your supplies right next to you. This is just a suggestion 😁

I do the sticker collage whenever I'm not feeling super creative but still want to fill in a page in my sketchbook. I thought it was lazy, but I still love having my colorful sticker pages. I'm glad I'm not the only one who does this!

Tangled(Rapunzel) is my favorite movie since I was a kid too!😊
I tend to choose fast project to appreciate the result sooner. When it's too long, I might just leave it aside and forget about it. But my goal for the next months is to actually enjoy the process and persevere through longer projects :)

I literally drew monsters with my friends a couple days ago! I drew it, and they chose the colors. We were on a google meet, so it was completely safe!

@@StudioClemons hehe, it was! They were kinda annoyed (my best friend who mainly helped, my other fiend did like one color since she was busy) because she doesn’t really like art that much (the other friend does) but after a while, she was ok with it.

art goal that i accomplished: i always wanted to draw a full body for humans that i draw,but i always struggled with it so i only drew the face and the shirt of the human. yesterday i had some inspiration to draw,and to practice on my skills i wrote my favourite songs and every day i draw them. i struggled drawing a full body of a woman as i wanted,because i wanted to draw her in a magazine(that’s the vibe the song i drew gave me). and after 4 or 5 times i finally did it!! i also have to say thank you for believing in each and everyone who watches your videos and saying the right words,i think it’s really nice💗
I have the opposite problem, I am pretty good at drawing clothes and bodies, but I cannot draw faces! No matter how much I practice I can’t draw the faces, so I just draw the bodies and clothes and leave the faces. Also hair and hands bother me too. I will try that but with like a couple different things instead of songs. Thanks for the hope and ideas!

My favourite animated movie is Spider-Man into the spider verse, I love the plot but what makes it my favourite is that it feels like art throughout the whole movie , every frame that is paused is a new piece in itself. The first time I watched it, it didn’t feel like a movie it felt like just watching art. I love the style it’s in and honestly just everything about it

The secret of nimh is my all time favorite animated movie. Just the light that don was able to put into that film is just so magical and beautiful. I really like beautiful and dark films.

Finding my way back to my art. I have been doing more journaling but it left me lacking in creativity. I started to watch sketch book videos and all of a sudden I realized it is my art is missing. Need less words and more art for me. I am not a professional artist, but I have always loved art and took many classes growing up and this love has never left me. You have encouraged me to go back to my love of art. Thanks for sharing
So my favorite animated movie is Spirited Away. As for an art goal, I actually got my first set of paints (gouache paints) and a sketchbook for Christmas! I'm primarily a fiber artist, so this is new territory for me, but watching your videos inspired me to try it out!

my favourite animated movie is probably Howl's Moving Castle, though i love almost all ghibli movies

my fave animated movie is COCO , OVER THE MOON and NEXT GEN....like those three are the BESTTTTTTT.....they amazingggg and has a hidden moral in them that you can easily find in each scene..other than that I like frozen, the croods, corpse bride, Ferdinand, Frenimies...and the list goes on...i just live in animated movies😍😍

Shrek and Tangled are in my top 5 as well! Great taste! I love the simplicity of that cloud picture. I’ll totally be trying that with posca pens and make it really colorful.
An idea to fill a sketchbook I’ve been doing lately is looking up pics of people wearing vintage or period clothes and drawing spreads/collages of them. It’s helping my anatomy practice as well as different fabrics and general knowledge of fashion styles over time. Then I’m coloring them with my off-brand alcohol markers to practice blending, shadows, etc.

I just started a new sketchbook, and after a busy spring season, I'm having fun with just doing whatever the heck I want to fill it up!!! Stickers... washi-tape... random unfinished sketches... studies... journalling... UGH, I'm so excited!!!
You are the reason I bought the Arteza oil paint markers and watercolors and i couldn't love them more. I had never used good watercolors before, only the ones in high school and i never knew watercolors could be so amazing. I'm a alcohol marker artist but I'm grateful I went out and did something new

The ideas you've left here are fun and a great way to create something colorful or just a good way to break from the routine of 'perfect' art. Sometimes I think artists forget that art is rarely actually perfect, but that is the beauty and fun of it! Thank you for sharing such fun ideas and yes, Shrek is a pretty good movie. Shrek 2 was also fun but after that point I couldn't watch them. My favorite 2D animated movie is Beauty and the Beast tied with The Swan Princess but for 3D there is one clear winner: Rise of the Guardians. I love this movie so much. You've actually given me an idea: the guardians outlined in their primary color (like the monsters from idea one of this video.
I like the longer video, I like seeing the casual videos watching drawing and painting and casual chat about art and tips for getting better and art challenge or drawing prompt videos. Just about all art videos are good I have them on while I exercise or while I’m drawing. Very relaxing and inspirational
One thing that helped me when starting to paint was understanding that if you absolutely hate your painting you can paint over it once its dry. As long as you dont mind a little added texture on your canvas, which it doesn't bother me much at all if I'm doing abstract style painting especially.

I love these videos, please keep them coming! I fear colour, colour is always so intimidating. i usually only use graphite, and charcoal and white pastel. I am going to give the gesso and acrylic painting in my sketchbook a go.

First of all, I love your videos, and I have been watching for a really long time. I enjoy the Sketchbook ideas that you come up with. I am slowly working my way through each of the paintings and drawings that you are doing in your Sketchbook videos and trying them out in my Sketchbook. Today I did that building that you were working on. Mine is not exactly the same of course but it’s the first time I’ve ever done anything like it and I am so proud of what I did. I wanted to thank you for making these videos so that I can follow along. I get to increase my knowledge and get better at painting and drawing. So thank you so much for helping me be more creative!

My favorite movie is probably Cars, I know I am a girl but it's such a great movie. Mira all your art work is so amazing, you have inspired me so much and thank you for being so kind in your videos!
Favourite animated movies - I tend to like traditional animation like Watership Down, 101 Dalmatians, Lady and the Tramp, The Fox and the Hound, rather than computer generated ones. One of the reasons for that is I love the watercolour backgrounds of such films (and the same applies to TV programmes, as well) because so much went into creating them. They are probably one of the main reasons why I wanted to get into art as a hobby.
