@@pupinator98 I think someone has fed you the wrong info; Utena is voiced by Izumi Fuuka, while Kana and Nokotan (and even Gon from Hunter x Hunter) are voiced by Megumi Han

Interestingly enough, the name Arima Kana has the kanji 馬 meaning horse in her surname (Arima is written as 有馬 who also the part of a name of the famous Japanese horse racing called Arima Kinen (有馬記念)). Given the existence of Umamusume, I guess Shikanoko Noko who is a personification of deer is close enough.... Wait, now that I think about it, Shikanoko Noko can be good friends with Sakura Chiyono O from Umamusme as the latter design does resemble a deer.

I am Japanese, but when I saw the subtitle of Noco's greeting, "hi
and I felt very sorry for English-speaking people.
In reality, Noko is saying "NOTSU!" which I assume is her own greeting derived from the pronunciation of her name. (Of course, this way of greeting does not exist in Japan either.)
But all Japanese people can understand that this strange word is her greeting. This is because conversing in Japanese with such an uncommon and original expression is recognized as a common means of showing one's individuality.
The Japanese language has many irregular rules and is very difficult to learn systematically. But that is what Japanese people think as well.
So the bottom line is that as long as you can convey your intentions, that's all that matters. It is fine if it is appropriate.
You English-speaking people need to learn Japanese in order to consume this crazy anime in 100% purity.
I look forward to the day when you will be able to enjoy all anime in its original form.

As a Russian and Turkish speaker which are in the same family with Japanese, i don't find it hard, I started learning Japanese recently, but I think I'll just learn to speak, and use latin when writing. Kanji is torture.
