Watched the GUTS short film trailer on Seed&Spark, and this looks and sounds so awesome so far!!! It’s so important to support indigenous media made by actual indigenous people, and this just seems like such a fun short film, so excited to see where it goes (:
Glad to have you back, and have an update! Listen... take everything at your own pace, and please don't feel obligated to do stuff. If you make 1 video a month, or 2 months, that's great! The important thing is do what you are passionate about, and that'll radiate through any videos you make. I'll take passionate quality any day over sheer quantity. Keep up the great work, good Sir! Lastly, I love the idea of your film, and wish you the best of luck. I really hope it does well. To your points, your people and Indigenous people are storytellers, your culture is heavily oral, and to see these stories get brought to life in film for the world to enjoy, is just amazing!!! Take care, my friend, and again, best of luck with your future endeavors!!!!
TY for an opportunity to help and for a way to thank you for your educated and thoughtful critiques. I wish you success but am also very happy you will keep your channel going, we NEED you! There's a lot of new voices and cultural sharing that we non indigenous appreciate but whose meaning we aren't always able to grasp, and what these voices are saying often goes far beyond offering just another entertainment purchase within consumer culture (though of course there is nothing wrong with that either!). One Canadian native actor recently called it a cultural renaissance. You hold an important position here -- to help provide context for these many creations, so that in our clickbait short attention span lives we do not just listen but "hear", and not just watch but also "see".
Found your RUclips randomly and love your take on movie reviews from a native perspective. Keep it up. Keep doing what you are doing and people will notice.
I think you should put out a review of something with your directorial announcement in it soon so that more people learn about it and maybe a short too.
After re-watching it, meant to commend *'Sleep Dealers' (2008)* for a review, but am pleased to note the current short film project. Definitely *slow down publishing cycles* in order to avoid _burn out_ - quality will improve, naturally when content is produced 'unscheduled', when a momentary _inspiration_ has matured to 'repeatedly recognized patterns', established concepts and terms that can explain and predict observations on a matter, make essays and creative content basically 'write themselves' - *_aligning_** with and **_anticipating_** a coming wave* ... ...and instead of possibly becoming overwhelmed with daily chores and commitments, who knows, how the presence of offspring will _organically_ point to *_relevant_** questions* that would otherwise have been overlooked due to being distracted by a calculated, _alienating_ mainstream media hype ?... Appreciate the commended links to sources on native media discourse !...
What's the best to fun a independent named American film? Go for me or second films or what? I only say this because I'm kinda shy because this is my first time and though I'm finished I'm almost like half finishing my costume. My native Americans, I'll be costing. I wanted to know what should I do.😅😅
Its pretty normal for youtubers to make mvoies and come back to the channel. Chris Stuckmann, Markiplier, RackaRacka, Penguinz0 (he collaboratively made a comic that might be getting a movie), I’ve heard Gigguk is working on an anime, Xiran Jay Zhao wrote a book that might be getting a movie, and as you mentioned ponymasher. Now you get to do the same. Godspeed NMT 🫡
