- These are my first explorations in printmaking on a large 16x20 gelli plate. I've made my collage papers for many years using an 8x10 plate, but after my husband passed away in March, I couldn't face my studio for awhile. I put my canvases and cradle panels away, but @artwhisperer88 beckoned me on RUclips to this adventure in life called ART. I've discovered I love printmaking and I believe it's reintroduced me to my painting life, too. LAYERS, who doesn't love layers??? Thank you, Fulton, for sharing so generously and encouraging me forward regardless of my monotone voice or my southern drawl.....

I LOVE your prints - you really have a way with color and your shapes/designs are just fabulous! Seems like you and your gelli plate are a match made in heaven.
Thanks, Susan, for your lovely, fabulous comments and for subscribing, too! Peace!
Great work. I especially love the final print. Show it to us when it’s finished, please. Can’t wait to see how you proceed with it.
I'll have to watch again to see which one you're talking about. I have a video #6??? That is a reveal of several. It may be included there. Thanks for your great comments! 🌿
I absolutely love the black and yellow one. I’m sure you will other elements to it and I will like those too but I love the drama of it just as it is.
Thanks so much, Sherry 🌿 I'll have to watch again. I've already forgotten. ❤️
Beautiful work. Look forward to seeing more!
Thanks so much, Eileen. I'm working on it!
These are gorgeous, Kate! So inspiring. I recently discovered Fulton, too, and have been fascinated. Now for binge watching your videos - LOL!
Thank you, Beth for your gorgeous and inspiring comments! Peace!
Wonderful prints
Thanks so much, Donna for your wonderful comment.
These are beautiful! I just got my 16*20 plate this weekend so this week will be play and experiment time ❤️
Wonderful! Have fun! Thanks for the beautiful comment!
Hi Kate. that first prints really sophisticated. I wonder what you could use instead of joined together masking tape? Maybe some contact sheets although they might be too ;sticky'.or maybe some thin acetate film with your stencil or mask already cut-out .......Keep going with this kind of imagery......take care of your self .......best wishes
Thank you, Aine for your sophisticated comments! I appreciate your suggestions.
What do you mean by joined together masking tape? I didn’t hear Kate W. say that.
Lovely work Kate ❤ What paper and paints do you use?
Hi Tricia. For some reason, I didn't get notified about your message and I'm just now seeing it here among the others. Right now, I'm following Fulton's lead and using Somerset Velvet that I got at Dick Blick. I had some Stonehenge 400 that I'm going to try next. And some Strathmore watercolor paper. Thanks for your lovely comment and I'm sorry I'm tardy with my reply. KW
