    His performances in "Jaws" and "Marathon Man" were both worthy of Oscar nominations.

    Roy deserved far more accolades in his career. He was a tremendous actor, and many of us were fortunate to have witnessed his success.

    Wow a genuine rare interview that RUclips is great at unearthing with 1977 advertisements included! They made the fatal mistake of releasing Sorcerer around the same time as Star Wars which is not even mentioned here . Roy also makes interesting points on the acting process.

      And Friedkin chose a title that gave audiences the impression they were gonna get something very different than the gritty action film they got. Terrible decision.

    Yet, Friedkin considered Scheider to be "second banana", which he was. Still, a very underrated actor and seemed like a very down to earth guy.
