Love the Trop. Like to stay in Havana Tower, just seems quieter at night for a restful sleep, or maybe its just hitting the Gelato stand before heading up..😊
@@NuYawk I used to stay at the South tower on the 6th floor, that's where the pool and health club is and when you come downstairs, your right in the casino!!!!!
I like to play slots in a very quiet area; well, as quiet an area as I can. The Trop used to be very electric and busy and I didn't like gambling there (didn't win either). It looks like they've made changes in the casino area, so I'll have to walk down and try it again.
@@richardsanty9063 Thanks, Richard; you, too; I tried last night at our local casino (yesterday was the Derby and the casino was crowded) & I'll try again tomorrow after work. I go to the casino about 2x a week. Incidentally, today is one week till Mother's Day, and it was on this date, about 10 years ago, that I won the biggest amount of money at the casino. The next morning, Monday, before Mother's Day, I was went to work and was telling everyone how I 'couldn't lose' at the casino the night before and won $2,000 sneaking up on it, I'll call it (meaning no big jackpot). I played the same way I always played. I called people; told friends. Then I became suspicious. Here it is a week from Mother's Day and I was telling everyone where to spend next weekend. At the casino! I've thought since that day that there's times the casino wants you win. I don't believe in 'random number generator.' It's an 'assigned number generator,' and the casino, I firmly believe, can change the slot percentages from say 100% to 80%, back to 100% as long as they payout the required, say, 90% at the end of the month.
I like that you can pick a couple salt water taffies of many different flavors. Back in the day we'd have to buy a whole box of a certain type, or maybe a few flavors. Now we can try them all! They've got some interesting titles and I want to try many flavors. That's worth walking down to the Trop or taking a bike or train or what have you from the Northern part of the boardwalk.
Had great memories at the tropicana when my brother would always get comped rooms for free lol.hitting the roulette table and winning a few racks were memorable! Something for everyone. Visiting next year next in the summer for sure! Good ol times!
Thanks for a nice video. We had a great time at the Tropicana. That place Wild Honey Smokehouse on the second floor is really good. Last time we were in AC we were staying on the other side of town, near the marina, but made a special trip for the food and the charm of Tropicana’s corridor.
I liked Wild Honey Smokehouse as well! ruclips.net/video/HvrRoit67pI/видео.html Glad to hear you guys had a great time! Thanks for watching and subscribing!
Thanks for the shout out tonight. Made my rainy night in New York a very pleasant one! It's cold here, too, with 80's coming mid week. Tonight though, it's sweater weather
The Trop, which used to have a Jewish owner, has always gone out of its way to "do Christmas," even under the Jewish guy's reign. They were great with the decorations and even had Christmas in July.
Love the Trop, thanks for the walk thru. Cant wait to visit this summer after all these years, Carmines DROOL lol.... When can we expect your South FLA videos?
Thanks for watching iLLGT2! I'm visiting the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida this June (a few weeks). The videos will follow shortly after the visit. Thanks again!
I was in a long distance relationship with my ex girlfriend who lived up in Jersey and almost every time I went up we stayed at or spent time in the Tropicana. Definitely one of my happy places. I appreciate you uploading these Jeff! Been following you for a while now : )
I havent been to the trop since they were redoing the place,This place looks fantastic inside and out. It's one of the few places that makes me feel like i'm in vegas
I enjoyed that walk through Jeff. I'm getting ready for my cruise leaving Friday going to Miami. I did buy chocolate covered pretzels from the store in Hard Rock. very good.
So the North and South Tower are the ones closer to boardwalk, right? Also check in is in lobby for these 2 towers? I don't like kiosks. I like to check in personally because I'm old school. Me and technology don't mix. Lol. So I need nice and simple check in.
@mike28113 Morning walk on the boardwalk. Lunch outside at Duck Town Tavern. Shop at the outlets then fun and games and some cocktails or beers at Dave & Busters. Return to the casino for a little action. There ... a perfect day in Atlantic City and within walking distance!
Hi Jeff, fellow New Yorker/Jersean. Love your vids and content. I recently started to visit AC more frequently playing slots and certain table games like Ultimate Texas Hold'em. Do you play UTH? If you do and like to play together at an AC casino, let me know. It's fun playing with someone you know. Cheers.
I'm a horrible poker player. My goal is to train on my phone then play for real. Just need to find the time. Ill keep you suggestion in mind! Thanks silverbeernuts!
@richardhales92 I just started playing at AC about 1 month now, so ive gotten better of the action and basic UTH strategies, but I do veer off based on gut feelings at the various casinos. UTH can be played at Caesars, Hard Rock, and Ocean's. Resorts are mostly weekend and weekday evenings.
@NuYawk I started that way too using Ballys app to practice, but I also learned a lot on RUclips by following the channels of Fast Action Casino, All Casino Action, and Brendon O'Brien. They taught me a lot, especially the betting and methods
A question for Sportsbook fans: I don't like using my cellphone, say, in Disneyworld and don't feel like downloading or making my way around new apps or answering a lot of questions. Can I stop at a casino Sportsbook and place a bet, say, on the baseball game that's on the TV there right at the Sportsbook area or are they going to tell me to download their app?
This might be a good video; to see how to place a bet at a Sportsbook and see if you come out a winner. A few years ago, I went to our racino and got Kentucky Derby bets, but I'm always intimidated on how to do it, like a Thanksgiving turkey. Incidentally, I only get the turkey breast, but I never have leftovers after day 1. I think everyone in your family should get a turkey breast on Thanksgiving and fix it their own way. You might need to open up a window
Neither have I. Only in the Tropicana‘s Wikipedia article. Plus the Chelsea Tower is called the Lux Tower in Tropicana, so it makes it that much more confusing. Seems like they use Lux tower and Chelsea tower interchangeably sort of.
@@Dwall44 The proper name is Chelsea Lux Tower, but you won't see the word Lux on the Trop's website. With regards to the Annex, here is a (not so great) review on Tripadvisor: www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserReviews-g29750-d98429-r553767991-Tropicana_Atlantic_City-Atlantic_City_New_Jersey.html
We saw, I guess it was like, Night of 100 stars, celebrity impersonators at the Showroom at the Trop. It was a huge theater. I didn't like the Showroom that much; not sure why (didn't like the whole show, frankly. LOL) But like many people, don't you have a 'thing' for theaters? I thought it was just like a big assembly room at school. Not a lot of unique style.
Did you just say…”Here in beautiful Atlantic City”? I almost threw up 🤮 in my mouth. AC is the sewer of Jersey, and it’s a crying shame to see what has been allowed to happen to it over the years. While there are a few decent hotels on the Boardwalk, many are just old and dated. On the Bay, the Borgata is nice, but then you’re missing “The Boardwalk Experience”, if that’s what you desire.
