Make sure to take wheels off vehicle first. And use a caliper paint on lug nuts because if you have to remove wheels the plasti dip will peel right off.
I followed your tutorial bro and I love how mine came out. I got some watermarks because I got lazy but they still look good af and I’m happy with how they came out. 🤷🏽♂️
Do you suggest i do this on original BBS rims? They are worth a total of 3000$, im scared to mess up the rims if thats possible due to price of them, but i do not like the silver color rims on my car and would love to get them black.
This can be easily removed whenever you want but it also stays on their similar to paint. For paint you have to sand it off and it’s more of a hassle, and more prep work
No. Go with gun metal or something other than black. Black just says to the world: I am too lazy to wash my car so I have decided to take a shortcut via the path of least resistance.
No one says that 😂 matte black on cars is a luxurious look, check out maybachs, Benz, Cadillac etc. They get matte black wraps and paint jobs 👍🏿 fully opinionated
@@TechReviewsTV Just not my thing - get some sonax - polish those wheels then car pro Dlux.... spend some money and go with color matched calipers. Problem is - when everyone has black wheels on the road - it's kind of a yawn fest.... I can see a dark gun metal, but black.... it'll never be something it's not....
@@07wrxtr1 true but then again it’s just a Honda 🤣 I’m tryna make some money off the car before it dies yk. Once I get my better car I’ll go all out and I’ll keep this in mind also
I'm on the road to 20K SUBS! It would mean a lot if you can help me reach that goal🫡
Stainless steel will absolutely scratch aluminum wheels homie
If it’s dry then yes keep it wet and it’s near impossible to scratch mine didn’t
Good tutorial! looks pretty good! I'm going to do this to my wheels pretty soon.

Thanks for the vid, i like the outcome for the rims on my focus. I was able to get it all done with 1 can!
how long does it last, uk has bad weather, can you wash them?
Usually 7 years or longer, so far I’ve pressure washed my car and tires about a dozen times since this video and no issues at all

Up till recently, has the paint eroded or scratched from any debris/rain and weather?
Do you just leave the lugs on?
Yes
Looks awesome! I’m worried it’s going to look cheap on my wheels :/
Never hurts to try, you can always take it off after if you don't like it with some plasti dip dissolver
How long did U wait after last coat to remove it from the tyres
What is the name of the dye you used?
How many cans did u use bro?
2 cans but you can get it done with 1
Hows the paint holding after many months? Also how many cans did you use for the 4 wheels?
Need the same answers

plasti dip peels off like magic so on you if you want to do it
It’s fine. It just covers and doesn’t penetrate. It’s not like paint.
How many ml of plasti dip i need for the rims ?
What does it look like after you “rotate” or remove a wheel to repair a tire
it would get scratched for-sure
So would you have to
Add a coat
After changing a tire?
Is that the simplest solution ?
I'd buy black lug nuts from Amazon
Do you have to re spray the lug nuts when you take your tire off??
Yes, the plasti dip will peel off probably
did it in 2 hrz waiting 30 between coats 4 full coats
how long did u wait for it to dry ??
Maybe 5-10 mins, or just keep using microfiber cloth to make sure it’s dry
What do you do if the plastic dip runs?
You’re too close and spraying too much, wipe it off before it dries and reapply
Isnt it better to remove plastic after one day?
On the tire? No
@@TechReviewsTV why not
@@Bearede once it hardens it’ll stay there you can just keep it their either way tho it blends in
first. before purchase this i need to purchase car😂😂
😂😂
wow, what happens if u put those over paint on like a car hood
I’ve seen people do that before it should be fine
Just gotta use a lot of coats
What’s the difference between this and regular spray paint? Pardon my ignorance 😅

Did you mask the tires or does the plasti dip just peel off?
It peels off, takes like 12 hours to fully cure
drip car all that in 5 mins?!
Haha more like an hour 🤫
