Sooooo…you should be able to use a 2001 up cam cover without the wire hanging out of it on this with no trouble to clean things up correct?

Yes of course. You can use your old one, too. You just need to pull the wires into that cavity behind the small timing cover. I just did that actually, so it’s all cleaned up properly.
