Why does her rejecting him mean she doesn't deserve him? He's a great guy. She was appreciative of his great qualities. Just because someone is great, doesn't mean there is chemistry between them and the person they think is cute. That is one of the biggest hurdles...finding someone who feels the same way about you that you do about them.

Every single one of my lasting relationships, including with my now wife, started off with me not really knowing exactly how I felt about them the first date or two. I just knew it was pleasant enough to continue. The real attraction came later, with time spent together. The physical attraction was there, but I could have walked pretty easily at the beginning. Conversely every time I've felt a burning desire for a woman, those relationships went nowhere or burned out fast. Sometimes people confuse "animal lust" for "spark" lol. Truth is the right person can create and stoke that desire within you over the course of a couple weeks or several dates. Romantic relationships are an endurance test, you don't win the Super Bowl the first game of the season!

She ended up having a huge crush on me for a long time after that. However, once someone tells me they are not "feeling it", I believe them the first time. I learned that "no second chances" likely saved me from heartache later on .

How is anyone suppose to 'prove' themselves in less than a few hours in a nervous and pressured situation where you literally have nothing to go on and spend most of the time improvising and hoping it comes off? I commend the guy as He handle it exceptionally well, if the cameras weren't there she would have probably had a different response. He clearly deserves better than this and hope he realises it and finds it. (Notice how after he is nice enough to wish her luck in her continued search she doesn't bother saying the same)But she revealed that the real problem in that instantly comparing anyone new to the previous BF isn't gonna give them a fair chance. They ain't substitutes/replacements for what she 'lost', she needs to not date anyone until she is past this phrase, people like this who rush from one thing to another and don't allow proper space and gap for themselves to be single after a relationship are what makes dating so hard and frustrating for genuine people like the guy here. Hopefully she will heed his warning because the next guy she time wastes with may not be so diplomatic.So sad that both a) Women are still crap at and don't value being properly single for a decent length of time and that b) Society still pressures women to thinking they always 'have to' be with someone so they end up behaving like this and letting down people who don't deserve it. This isn't a particularly unique example of this happening.

So many women lonely because of some imaginary spark. I bet if they saw someone that gave them the spark they'll walk straight by.
I did for many years...I didn't feel the 'spark' with people who were great. Finally the scales fell from my eyes when I met my now husband...it was a beautiful ember which has turned into the biggest bonfire 💖💖💖 I love him to the moon and back...a decade ago I wouldn't have looked twice. So glad I learnt to see what was right in front of me!

I don't know about this. When I met my fiance I was instantly attracted to him and the more time we spent together the more I became head over heels, uncontrollably in love with him. We talked on the phone for 4-6 hours every night, spent every spare moment that we could together, talking, laughing, touching. When we weren't together I felt a compulsion to be with him. I think the 'spark' does it exist and if that's what this lady wants to find then she is entitled to hold out for it. Just because a man is nice or attractive doesn't mean he is the right one for her and she should just settle.
100% agree. It's as if some women think that 'the one' will be someone they'll instantly want to marry and have a house, kids, a mortgage with immediately after meeting them. Genuinely decent blokes aren't given the time of day half the time.
